I had a conversation last night with a friend of mine. We were talking about dreams. And yes I have some wild dreams!! I use to practice lucid dreaming about 3 years ago and found it very fascinating. For those of you who are not familiar with lucid dreaming, it is a learned talent to recognize what we are dreaming as we are dreaming, to control our dreams and to be fully aware that we are dreaming while in a dream state. It takes a couple of weeks of practice to achieve lucid dreaming, but once you do.. OMG it is amazing. Just imagine being able to have sex at will!! Woohoo!! Shhhhh - I know what your thinking? nice nice. The first thing you will have to learn is how to remember your dreams. In order to recognize your dreams while they are happening, you will have to be familiar with the way your own dreams work. In the 1st week you should try to remember at least one dream every night. Whatever it is, even if it's a bird flew over my head. You will need plenty of sleep. Everyone dreams about every 90 minutes. The longer dreams occur usually after 4 or 5 hours of sleep. You will need a dream journal to put on the side of your bed to record dreams. When you awaken in the middle of the night, record the dream immediately. Yes, I know you can't see and you really don't want to sit up and start writing. The 1st week you can just scribble and this will give you the patience of at least waking and writing your dreams down. After the 1st week of writing your dreams and ACTUALLY remembering them you are ready to start lucid dreaming. Each night before you go to bed you will have to have a ritual. Put something next to your bed and look at it and say to yourself, "This is reality". You will also tell yourself that you are going to remember your dreams and you will look at your dream journal. To be able to have lucid dreams you will have to recognize that you are dreaming by being aware of things that only happen in dreams. For instance some people may not have faces or building may not have windows. There will always be missing details in your dreams. At some point, you will tell yourself, I am dreaming and be a part of your dream. For those who are really interested in lucid dreaming, you can easily go onto the internet and get a full explanation of how it works. For the rest of you ? Tell me some of your dreams!!!! Happy Dreaming!!!!

Queen that really is amazing!! I am a believer in mind/will power and the miracles that could happen and has. Did you know that we only use 10% of our brains. That means that 90% of it we don't know how to use. You may have tapped into something no one else would even know how to attempt to do!! I want to learn more and will. Believing and doing are 2 keys to positive energy!! Hugs and Kisses

Bambi. When mind traveling we do not always appear to another person as who we are, or even as a person at all. Sometimes the receiver will feel me, other times they will remember something that I may have said to them, or they will have the need to contact me. I have also been able to show others how to do this. My first connection (that was verified) was in my early 20s when my father had been taken to the hospital and the doctors called in the family. One of my sisters could not be found and I decided to connect to her through my mind. She had been watching her favorite sport, football, and had become very tired. Which never happens when watching her games! She laid down and closed her eyes. She said her head started spinning a little and she kept seeing my face spinning closer and closer. She thought she could hear words but was thinking she was sick...soon my face was closer and she could hear me telling her that there was something terribly wrong with our father. That she needed to call home. And she did. It was also during this time that I learned that I could heal a person while dreaming, as I call it. I had been studying a book about healing through the mind through intent and vizualization and decided to practice on my father. By this time he was dying of heart failure. Three quarters of his heart muscle was dead and the doctors had been working on him in surgury for over 12 hours. They did not feel he would survive. I called on God to assist me, slipped into the operating room (in my mind state) looked into his heart and could see where the blockages and damage was. I used the magic I knew to clear them out, reconstruct, and to bring healing to that area. Than I asked that the healing be redone every 15 mins. It was a miracle the doctors said. His heart stopped 3 times during surgury and he was pronounced dead each time. They really did not believe he was alive and did not think he would live through the night, than the week, than they said that if he was lucky, he might survive at the most, for 6 months longer. And that was a stretch. He was in intensive care for 2 months. He lived for 8 years. During that time I moved back home to take care of him for the first year of recovery and continued doing what I had started. This was my first experience where I dreamed and healed at this level. Since than I have done more, with both humans and animals. I realize that most people will never do this, and will never have that desire, or ability. It is something that has always been a part of me.

People may not remember what you say or do, but they will remember how you made them feel.

Queen OMG - you can do that?? Wow, that really is amazing. I really should get back into my dreams soon. I have become disconnected with them because I am so busy and just want to sleep when I go to bed, plus I only sleep 6 hours a night and as I remember it was only after 5 or 6 hours of sleep was I able to have lucid dreams. The scary dreams only were when I was young and disappeared when I moved out of the house I lived in. There were many weird things that happened like my cabbage patch doll would start in one room when I went to sleep and would be in another when I woke?? So when you appear to people is it in their dreams or in a quiet room?? This is all very interesting to me.

Bambi. I do astral project as well. Not something I share with many people as it scares them. I can go to other people, other times, and other levels of consiousness. When I was younger I had many dreams where I was a horse. I would always start the dream by being a human and stepping into a magic lasso type of circle where I was transformed into a white mare. From there I would gallop off with the other horses! I think this is why I have such a way with horses now. I know what it is like to be one! If you wake up after a bad dream experience all you need to do is go back there, in your imagination, and re create the dream so that you can change the outcome and direction. First you do this while in a waking state and visualizing what you would like to happen, after a little practice you will wake up briefly, than be able to go back into the dream and change the direction of it. For example, again as a younger person, I had dreams of being attacked and killed by a bear. These were very traumatic dreams that lasted for years. I learned that I could wake up from that horrible experience, go back into the dream, and change what happened. When I conquered the bear those dreams finally left. Angel. Your catching your breath could very well be sleep apnea. If this is true you should check it out as it will affect everything you do and your body is not getting the sleep you think it is. On the other side, there are those who believe that you have been astral projecting and are coming back into your body too fast. In this case, you can say a prayer and ask for easier re entrys. Dreams of having sex are usually you communicating with your subconscious or unconscious mind. This is the common belief. Of course, all those dream books will tell you something else as no one really agrees. Eating cake or candy is often you taking a bite out of the happiness of life. You may not feel as safe doing it in real life but are comfortable doing this in the dream state. Winning the lotto is similar to this. It is usually a signal to look for something to good to come into your life that will be a pleasant surprise...

Angel that is one reason I started lucid dreaming!! I also would have dreams that got interrupted by someone or something!!! Ugh!! But after I started this my dreams do not get interupted anymore!!! I can't wait to get back into this. I have had out of body experiences as a child... They were not pretty. They actually were very scary and demon like. An old gypsy women told me to sleep with a newspaper under my bed so the demons would have something to read.

Queen I love that!!! I started a while ago and was able to control my dreams and make them go in what direction I choose to. I stopped when things got to busy at my house for various reasons. But you took it another step further!!! When I get back into this I will definitely look into the book you suggested. Thank YOU.

Bambi. Great blog! It is great to see you back writing these type of blogs. You are a wonderful writer! I have been working with lucid dreaming for over 20 years. I began with the Carlos Castanda(spelling may be wrong here) books and techniques and worked for months before I could see my thumb while in a dream state. This is how he teaches people to become aware of when they are conscious while in a dream state. Since than I have continued with lucid dreaming and have very vivid dreams, that I recall, where I am able to become active and make choices in which way the dreams might go. I even have friends that I talk to in dreamland that guide me and give me advice. As a result of this work I also learned how to see into the future and create the dreams that have now become realitys in my life. Dreams can come true!

Pauline lol - I'm keeping you around in case one day I get sad!! I read this book a while ago called "Brain Longevity", because when I was younger I could remember long lists of numbers and things without a problem. I didn't feel like my memory was at it's best. So, I learned all about about the brain and dendrites, how they kind of shivel up as we get older and learned how to keep the alive and growing!!! Very good book!!! I think I'll read it again!!

Thank You Pauline - In the past I have been reading and learning about dreams and how the brains works. The past 2 years I have been super busy but would love to get back to learning new things. I love to expand my knowledge, even if it's how to transmit radio waves into the air and how the land on your radio in the house. As I said before I'm a little bit of a nerd when it comes to things like that. Happy Dreaming

Actually we do not know why we dream. We just do. Life is also unexplainable .. we exist, but the how and why do we exist, another puzzle. I use to do lucid dreaming a couple of years ago and I thought it was wild. I would like to get back to it, but too much going on in my life to focus on it.

Bambi, Thanks for the heads up on the dreaming. I'll try it and let you know how it is working. I've had dreams before that I could kinda direct and they were very cool but not steamy, LOL! Sounds like an awesome way to be entertained during such "down" hours. May actually look forward to going to bed! Thanks again! Mark
