Thursday I was in Palm Springs and it was sunny and 85F. Friday my daughter and I decided to drive for the day to Orange County to go shopping. O.C. was only 100 miles away and in CA too, so naturally we dressed in Summer tanks and skirts. It was freezing! 65F. A sales clerk asked me if it had warmed up...not likely, we had to buy sweaters! Saturday it was around 90F...gorgeous...Sunday mid 80's again...Arrived home Sunday to 65F...a nice temperature for this time of year...When you are dressed for it! It was 65F again yesterday...balmy. Today it is around 26F and there is a 6 inch blanket of snow on the ground and covering the trees. Giant snowflakes were falling until about 15 minutes ago...it was beautiful. So serene. Now it is even more beautiful as there is now blue sky and the sun is shining brightly across the snow. Very pristine. I love days like this, even if the temperature isn't in the 80's!

Hey Don...got back from CA on Sunday evening...hence the snow! Foxfire...I'm from Calgary too...so I know all about what your talking about. This evening I drove thru a mini blizzard of giant snowflakes again. Drove a 5 minutes further down the road and it was all clear. The weather is different within the same city. Everyone living somewhere balmy...I'm green! lol

Im used to the heat of the desert I live in but NOT until late May or June! We want spring! We want Spring! We want Spring!

Back home here in Calgary, it snowed all night and most of the morning until the sun came out in the afternoon and started melting it all. You know our crazy weather....if you don't like it, just wait 5 minutes. Cheers!

Mike...I turn my heat on at 65! I like it mid to upper 70's inside and out. I grew up in cold and hate it! But, don't like humidity either anymore. So, I'm good at sunny, 70's and mild to warm with low humidity. It's only taken me 40ish years to figure it out, but I know EXACTLY what I like now. You should see me order a latte at Starbucks! hahaha

65 is cold...that's too funny 65 here and we would be sitting on a patio bar in t-shirts and shorts. I remember going to a party in thousand Oaks area, it was 65 then, there i was in a short sleeved shirt, while all the Californians huddled in their sweaters, under a patio heater. I found it funny at the time, come to think of it the image still makes me smile. Reminds me of the Bar in Mandalay Bay called Red Square, where you can buy a bottle of vodka and drink it in a freezer as a novelty. We laughed there too that people would, in the middle of summer put on heavy coats and walk into a freezer... (canadians and peopel from MN would not need the coats) Americans can be so funny at times.

It's been in the mid to upper 80's and dry with the Santa Ana winds. Very unseasonable for this time of year, thus the fires you may have heard about on the national TV. And, it's 1:00...I'm working from home and I decided to go to the pool to work! Oh my gosh..I love Southern California! Next week I'll be in Chicago...ask me again! ICK!
