Gun History-READ Posted on Dec 29, 2007 at 10:49 AM
GUN HISTORY Whether you agree or not, it's an interesting lesson in history. In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 Million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. -------------------------- In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. -------------------------- Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------ China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. -------------------------- Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. -------------------------- Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. -------------------------- Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. -------------------------- Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million. -------------------------- It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in: Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent. Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent!) In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note, that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such, monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it. You won't see this data on the American evening news or hear our President, governors or other politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans.....before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
Give a Compliment? Posted on Dec 17, 2007 at 08:44 PM
Compliments, are either a deal makers or breakers, it depends oh how the compliments are delivered..they could be rather rude to rather polite.. I think most of us have probably received all types of compliments and have given them. To all the Ladies in blogland, you have let the beauty shine from within. Thank-you for sharing your inner thoughts and cares, your strength and some of your weakness. You are blessed. To all the Men in blogland. Most all of you gives us a smile, some may give that warm fuzzy feeling, am glad you are here and enjoy your wit and humor, your thoughts, and strengths.and even some of the hidden inside.. and the ones you really have to look hard to see what you might understand about them.. I am glad you are here.. A community anywhere is a blending of many thought, individuality's, many talents, the caring, the sharing, the working together,It is the use of all to the better of the community and not of ones self.. A cyber Hug to one and all.. and a smile to let you know you matter. on the lighter side.. its up to you.. LOL
Not a Friend? Posted on Oct 27, 2007 at 09:55 PM
One of my friends was alittle shook up, she waited for a few days before she said anything. A old friend of her family had call her and asked her to ride over to another town, he had not seen her in a while and had a lot to catch up on.. So she thought sure, had lost track of him, nice to see how everyone was doing. He picked her up and they in general catching up on things..On the way back there was a fairly big park they were passing so he pulled in to the back side, no one was around they could see the roads.. he started telling about his divorce, how his wife left him and wanted everything, he was still wondering why his wife left him... She had turned to look out of her side window, she heard him moving.. the next thing she knew he pinned her left arm with his knee had his left hand around her throat pushing her back into the seat.. he whispered into her ear."I want to rape you now!" then he tried to kiss her..She did not kiss back just sat there trying not to panic. She started to hit him with her right hand, when she moved it alittle he squeezed harder on her neck.. She kept her breathing steady. How,she did not know. He finally sat back down and started talking as if nothing happened. She mentioned she had to get home.. When she was getting out he grabbed her hand and said she will be his soon.. Told her to put a restrain order on him, if not that, the next time he calls don't answer the phone or tell him she has plans. If he shows up do not open the door, ask him to leave and then call cops if he don't. I told her a friend does not treat or threaten a friend like that. Would you still consider them as a friend? What would you do?
Your Answer? Posted on Oct 17, 2007 at 08:05 AM
YOUR ANSWER? My Love, how shall I answer thee? With a Hug? with a Kiss? With a Caress? With a Smile? With a Frown? With flowing tears from within me? My Love, how shall your answer be? With a Hug? With a Kiss? With a Caress? With a Smile? With a tender Glance? With compassion for the tears that flow? Come my Love, let us share our warm embrace. Let our Kisses flow softly and hunger from within. Let our fingers glide over our hearts and souls. Let then our smiles chase away all of the frowns. Let the tenderness of our eyes speak of compassionate love. For the fears and the tears does not have a place.
My Wee Corner of the World Posted on Sep 18, 2007 at 08:55 AM
In my area, it has been a different year of weather. There was the ice storm where people was without electricity for over 15 days, the devastation of trees, yet most pulled through sprouting new branches or trying to repair the branches that are bent and broken, yet still hanging on to the tree. We were two years of a drought taking hold.and it has rained, and rained, and more rain, not complaining.. Yes so sorry about all the flooding, the destruction that has occurred, and not counting the havoc tornadoes have played. Everything has stayed green. So if you are in the lawn care service, you are cleaning up nicely if not way behind. usually July=September are triple digits, this year about one full week of triple digits.not complaining there the cooler temperatures.. The weather had changed with the feel of fall in the air. noticed the other day some of the tree are beginning to flaunt their colorful changes.. Maybe we will have a spectacular fall of vibrant breathtaking colors Who knows what winter will bring? the largest snow amount we have not received in umpteen years. How is your corner of this vast world?
Experience from MM Posted on Sep 01, 2007 at 11:07 PM
Sometimes I look in the mirror for the words like "Looser" "Wrong men Magnet" "To Naive" "Hurt Me" .. but then maybe it is not totally all me.. One MM Man IM me and we talked several times.I thought all was okay, just casual conversations then one day he so rude and hurtful and said "Good-Bye for Good" Okay don't know what I did..About a year later he contacts me again. I Politely asked him "Due to his Rudeness, should I allow myself to be hurt by him again?" for some reason I still had that email and sent it back to him... He apologized. said he took his frustration out on me. It was nothing I had done. Yes I forgave him.. The next one .. we talked for over a month every morning building a good friendship.. and he went on a weeks vacation and when he came back..He was furious with me because I said Hello, he did not give me permission for any contacts etc.. I was like What Hello is a bad word? So deleted him at his request. One year later he wants to pick up where he left off. This time said "I will forgive you. Sorry,Not going down that path again." Been rather quiet with a few Hellos, so not bad..Thinking okay, finding a few friends again... then the DOG thing happens.. What word(s) should I be looking for on my forehead now?

Hi Again Posted on Jul 17, 2007 at 01:29 PM
This year is Slipping by fast.. lol. Depression sucks.. Why is it when you are climbing out of that deep well of infinity darkness people wants to knock you back down to the bottom? Then they act like they have no clue. Hope you are not guilty of that. Think about it. What signs do you miss or want to over look because you don't want to deal with it? It's not my problem, so why worry about it? Wish everyone a happy rest of the year. Hugs
2007 Resolutions.. Did you keep any? Posted on Dec 27, 2006 at 04:30 PM
Now that '07 is about memory, what New Years resolutions did you keep? Do you carry them from year to year? Create new ones? Or just think it is another day and going with life? Do you ponder over the blessing that have entered into your life, and remember the heartaches that touched deep? Do you consider them as a learned lesson, or poor me why does bad things happen? I know over the years I have made some funny, silly , off the wall, down to earth, no way of keeping resolutions.. I hope I learned from some and gave up on others... The best resolution I could make for 2008 Is to be a better person than I was in '07, to appreciate the blessing from all people who cross my path and to forgive. Happy New Year to everyone.. Hope this year of 2008 will bring blessings into your life. Don't over look the smallest of blessings they may have the biggest impact... Hugs to all. It does not seem possible we are closing in on ten years in the new century where has time gone??
just a poem Posted on Nov 27, 2006 at 07:12 PM
I WONDER.. Who are you ? Where are you from? I always wonder. What do you like out of life? What do you ponder? Is this to much to ask? Do you like nature dressed in her beauty? Or the city that is stark and bare? Do you smile at the for-get-me-nots that are so fair? Or grumble because a rose you had to share? Do you look for the moon at night? Still amazed at the stars that shine bright? What are your dreams? What are your desires? May I inquire? 9/22/2006

I am not rich , neither am i poor..I have done my share of hard work being a country woman, and am working parttime.. i am not Mrs. Universe, neither do i have a foot in the grave...At one time i could have been a model, now after children i am a Mother....I still have a great smile, and my teeth are still real...I have an off the wall sense of humor at time, i still get the dry jokes... I am very compassionate and passionate, some say more than i should be... I am a good listner, and have had plenty of wet shoulders from others....My heart has been broken alot, yet it is still willing to give...i am not skin and bones, am not exceeding over weight... I am rather tall, if men likes a woman close to Six foot give or take...I am not blonde, but have those moments at times(don't we all).I do love to travel, been to most states and one country... I do like quiet times spent with my partner, enjoy everything there is about him...Been cooking since i was 10,so know what a kitchen is used for besided to look at and sex...Dining out is nice, but a home cooked meal is wonderful also...After reading all the profiles... i am no bodies dream... just wondering where do I fit in????
Your Love Song Posted on Jul 01, 2006 at 08:24 AM
MMMmmm Baby, play me a love song so soft and so sweet. Let the lullaby words breathe smoulter on my heated skin. As i am amazed and at wonder of awe of my Lovers treat. While I gently stroke his velvet skin, mmmmmm do i know where to begin? Let the music flow throught your fingers, as they caress across my soul. The warmth of your kisses as they soon take control. Your probing sensual lips have started the burning flame of fire. You are wanted, your are needed, I want to fulfill your desire. Come...lay down.. let me cradle you head on my breast. Let your breath be steady as you slumber into rest. The cares of this world are wiped from your face. Pure love and sheer radiant bliss have taken their place.
