I wrote this about 5 months after the death of my late husband...he was on this third mission trip to Zambia and came down with a kidney stone...on the way to the hospital 7 Hours away in Lusaka, the truck he was lying in the back of hit a concrete mile marker and flipped. He died instantly.
Found a scrap book today....
the pictures had already begun to fade
it was made for you by our oldest
I guess it was for your birthday
the sweet faces of the babies we made
of you holding them..just took my breath away
I know you're in God's best of best places
he called you home unexpectedly
I see you in their precious faces
through my salty tears and sweet tea
It's been so hard to let you go
when we never said goodbye
so strange now to be all alone
how can six months just fly
I know you're in Gods best of best places
he called you home unexpectedly
I see you in their precious faces
salty tears in my sweet tea
