CHECK out these numbers yourself. Don't take my word for it.

**************************************************

If you took all of the money of all of the billionaires IN THE ENTIRE WORLD you could not pay off our debt.. Yes, I said all of their money, not just a higher tax.

If you sold all of the farmland in America you could not pay off the national debt.

If you sold the 650 million acres of land held by the Feds you would not make a big dent in the debt.

If you took all of the stock in America, ever corporation, held by pension funds and people world wide you could not pay off the debt.  If someone tries to tell you that all we have to do is tax corporations more, tell them to look up the total value of every stock on the stock market, which is the value of every corporation in America totaled, and then compare that number to the national debt.. Of course a even smaller number (much smaller) is the total profits of every corporation in America.

The total profits of every corporation in the US, perhaps even the profits of every corporation in the entire world, will not even make a dent in the debt. There is no way a higher tax on corporations will pay off the debt and more tax will just run more corporations out of business. If you add up all their taxes (state, county, local) they are probably paying twice as much as you realize.

Gov spending is just totally out of control. We all need to make a bit of fun of anyone who makes false and lying statement by pointing out the real truth.

If you are not aware of just how large the debt is compared to our resources you need to brush up a bit...ps.  and maybe quit voting for socialists and people with little or no brains.

Oh, you might also start learning about hunkering down.

Dont you wish you could just print money like the feds do....you never go broke...thats a fact.

The trouble is that the money eventually becomes worthless.  Check out what is happening in Venezuela.  Equador hasn't had a national currency in years because their money became worthless..... Socialism at it's finest.

Trying to amend the Constitution is an exercise in futility ( see the Equal Rights Amendment ).  Lobbying and the PACs, SuperPACs and Leadership PACs should be made illegal.  Term limits for Congress need to be implemented and politicians should not be above the law.

Unfortunately the inmates are in charge of the asylum.

Roc,

I totally agree with you on this one.  We need public financing for all elections and term limits.  It was bad before, but Citizens United has allowed special interest groups to overpower our political system.

You are completely ignoring the effect of inflation bumping everyone up into higher tax brackets.  Yes, some people make more than they did,, thus pay more taxes, however their increased salary buys less due to inflation..Many people are making much less and that is really a killer because of inflation. This has been going on for years but gets worse every year because we are now printing money like crazy people.
Both the Democrats and Republicians need to be hung, Democrats first..
Take a look at the Tea Party and it's smaller spending, lower taxes, fewer wasteful regulations,  smaller gov. agenda.. That is what we need.

A robust economy with low unemployment would mask many of the problems that have surfaced as the result of an administration that doesn't have a clue.  The 24 hour, in your face media coverage hasn't helped at all.

Russia has a 15% flat tax on income.   France has a 90% on the high end.  I saw that a French billionaire was planning on moving to Russia because of the high French taxes and socialism.......Muslims are overruning France. Putin is not putting up with them... Putin makes sense to me..

I can understand moving from France, but unless you are prepared to play dirty in business then Russia ain't the place.  And when I say dirty, I mean whatever it takes.  I've heard stories.  Putin...okay he makes sense, but he's as crooked as any.  I take no issue with limited immigration, just come to my country, obey the laws, respect my culture, and don't try to change my culture or take issue.  There should be a process for legalization.  A long process that takes 10 years.  All that are in America now should have to go through this process, if they can't make it, then back home they go.  1. Learn English  2. Pay for driving school lessons and pass real test.  3. Be required to keep employment min. of 75% of a 10 year period  4. Be required to support all dependents fully. 5. Be required to provide some level of health insurance for themselves and dependents. 6.  Pay taxes  7. After all requirements are met, must pay $5000-10,000 for citizenship. (why this large payment??? Because then it will be something of real value.  When something is free people do not value it.  And citizenship can't be acquired until they have lived in the USA for a full 10 years at least 98% of the time.  And for their dependents then the above would be adjusted accordingly.

But I get your point and agree.  Extreme taxation makes people flee from a country to a more tax friendly nation...taking wth them their wealth.  Russia is still not a good place to live, even Moscow.  It is not really Capitalism in the legal sense.  There is a Russian guy that post Vids on YouTube...I believe it's called the real Russia.  Search for the First McDonalds in Russia.  The guy is funny...and his vids are interesting.  I wouldn't mind living a few months in Russia just to get a feel of it's culture.  I might even get a woman since the women out number the men 3 to 1.  Pretty good odds!

15% income tax + plus Russian mafia fees. :) No joke.

I don't mean to overly attack the disability system. Yes it has problems, but waste, corruption, cronyism, bloated agencies,  and just plain stupid decisions are the biggest problem.   This is the worst administration I have ever seen.

So we get the job numbers in today.  204,000 jobs created in Oct., Unemployment up .1% to 7.3%.  Market likes it.  Gold takes a tumble.  CNBC reports that Gold drops 20 seconds before the numbers actually come out, which is a indication that someone got the info early. (which is illegal).  But CME Group says there is no issues there...yeah right.  The rise of .1% unemployment is contributed to the shut down of the economy...in some's opinion.  But they make no opinion on why job numbers are up.  Well, let me make that prediction and also future predictions.  Job numbers will continue to come in good.  For 3 reasons.  1. Holiday Season hiring  2.  People actually believe the economy is getting better  3.  Affordable Care act (aka ObamaCare) will force many companies to part time their current employees and hire new part time workers to fill the gaps.  So, the job number will look good....but this doesn't really indicate the underlying health of the American economy.  So be aware that ObamaCare is already reeking havoc on the economy and people's life.  Soon I will drop my insurance coverage and elect to pay the penalty.  I just can't justify paying $80 more per month for coverage I've never used, all the while my deductible goes from $750 to $2000.  Of course the insurance company kept me on their coverage, because I never use it, but they might as well just dropped me, just like the hundreds of thousand other people that lost their insurance.  So now we see Obama for what he is a liar and a charlatan.

WWWW don't apologize for your attack on the disability system, it is almost totally fraudulent and without checks and balances.  I once knew 3 sisters that received "mental" disability.  Since they were "mentally impaired" they had to have a guardian supervise the administration of their disability check they received each month.  They were each over the other's check. So the government felt that one "mentally impaired" sister could successfully advise the other on the best way to utilized their disability check.

In this age of computers, where we are tracked via web cookies, and all our buying preferences are shared and recorded...Yet, the government can't keep up with a damn thing.  Is it that they are really that dysfunctional, despite the trillions we pay in taxes, or do they in fact not want to keep up with this data so that they can intentionally approve people for fraudulent disability in order to gain votes and control the people???  In Obama's defense, the 3 sisters did not receive disability under his administration.  But I have known plenty that have...just not under those circumstances.  And the charts showing disability under the Obama administration is truly a eye opener.

That is what is happening all over the nation, people scamming our system.  I would guess that 1/2 of the people on disability could work, but why should they?

Yes, I am probably a sucker for a good speech. I keep trying; it is a responsibility.  I guess that's why the poor with the very simple things in life give up trying to follow things. They hurry and vote things in, look at this health care thing.  So what did Bernie Sanders say that you feel is incorrect? What about multi corporations not paying federal taxes? Also, please clarify first you said the wealthy benefit most, then the poor will be looking for someone to blame and they should look in the mirror-so it then seems as though you're saying it's the poor's fault for accepting whatever is free.  I am poor and not afraid to admit it; but I work and keep trying-voted the best I could with the options given for what is good for the country-not for what I thought I would get- so no guilt here; but the President won again.  I just wonder how Romney thought  he would ever win with that hard stance of his against the poor- was that for real? I didn't like his running mate choice either. One thing is for sure, the poor must help themselves. Most of the segment of population I was brought up to believe were middle class were probably actually poor, given that like you say, there are people who have so much money it boggles the mind.  Rather than using Medicare and SS as they were intended to be used, they have grown to depend on them entirely for retirement, not a good move now with companies not taking care of people for retirement like they used to. Also, it's true that many consider what is supposed to be temporary help an entitlement; something they are owed.  That is the difference between then and now for those who immigrate here. America, in many ways, has become morally frightening.  Rap and hip hop are part of it if you ask me, the dummying down of America.  We don't grade children in grade school anymore, they either are satisfactory or unsatisfactory in their classes.  We are systematically changing everything to be easier but in reality it will make things worse. Incidently, did anyone notice the Obamas using slang and street talk during their campaign, it was never brought up in the media. Those folks shoulda caught that! I think that was so obviously staged.  President Obama has done some good things and with all due respect is our President; but how we could go from what Clinton left to this is just unbelieveable.

Sundance,

I agree with many things you wrote.  Clinton did something that Obama is not willing to do, negotiate.  Clinton was a kinda happy go luck, horny, let it (her) ride kind of guy.  Hell, we all know Hillary wore the pants in that marriage...especially since Bill couldn't seem to keep his on.  But all joking aside.  He didn't have a huge ego and was willing to negotiate with the Republicans.  So it worked.  Obama is a narcissist and isn't willing to give, bend or compromise.  And he may be the President, but he is a idiot when it comes to the economy.  If he were standing face to face with me, I'd look him straight in the eye and tell him.  Obama is anti-business and has a socialist mind-set.  He is a self center narcissist...his well being comes first and he'll lie and do what it takes to get what he wants.  The result of which has been a declining economy.  The FED is trying to keep the economy from declining further by pumping in $85 Billion per month.  Which is a direct result of Obama's policies.  The Affordable Health Care (ObamaCare) is a complete failure and is a further drain on the economy.  People are paying more now for their insurance and Insurance companies are dropping coverage by the hundreds of thousands....Obama's words "You'll be able to keep your current coverage if you are satisfied with it".  So when you take money out of the pockets of the people, they will spend less.  People will now be put on part time under the insured hours, just so business don't have to pay health care for their employees.  You may think this is bad of the business, but some companies are barely making it in this economy...one more straw and the camel's back will be broken...then jobs will be lost.  You may say, well what about large corp. such as Walmart.  Yes, they can afford it, but Walmart will just up the price of their goods across the board...and who shops at Walmart?  Once again, taking money out of the pockets of the average folks.

The stock market(s) are sky high.  The wealthy have become so much more wealthy because of FED pumping.  The economy is why the FED is pumping.  The economy is rotten because of Obama's policies.  And GE was in bed with Obama and hiding Billions offshore.  Why didn't he confront the CEO when they were face to face?  Because GE was good for him...didn't matter if hiding money offshore was bad for America.

This is what needs to happen.  Government need to be held accountable (for spending) and made smaller.  AND TERM LIMITS put in place. Companies need to know their tax rates and what the future hold in regards to government regulation and taxes.  When companies feel secure and are doing well, they hire people, they pay more.  The public needs to be educated on finance (example: people don't need the newest Iphone every time one comes out) (Cigarettes and Beer are not a life necessity).  I'm the master of saving and cutting cost.  More money needs to be put into the average folks pockets.  How?  First let's get the NG flowing, address the issues with Fracking, build refineries, and get the cost of energy down.  I'm all for adding wind and solar to the mix.  Cheap energy puts extra money in the people's pocket...cheap gasoline gets them out of the house and out spending.  Spending creates jobs.  Jobs create security and people are happy.  Depending on the government for help, doesn't help anyone, nor does it really make them happy.  Depending on the Government gives the government control of the people that depend on it.  Do as I say, vote this way...or I'm going to cut you off..."no soup for you!".

Sundance there is nothing wrong with being "poor".  Poor is actually hard to define...as is rich.  I know what it is like to do without and I still do without, just because it's in me, not because I can't afford it now.  And with each dollar the FED prints, my saving becomes worth less and less.  You just can't create a society where the many depend of a few.  What happens when the few get tired or just leave.  England is a good example...money and business starts leaving for friendlier lands.  People start becoming Expats.

Sundance has your finances grown at the same rate as Obama's?  Do you have a problem with him being exempt from ObamaCare, while you are not?  And yes, I know it's others as well.  Do you not feel that you are being segregated from those that are making the laws by which you must abide?  That is being controlled.

This is what I mean, many don't know enough about these people to tell whether or not they are telling the truth or not, or what they have done in the past, the media puts things out that are deceiving. I wonder why they don't do some of the things Clinton did and wonder if Hillary would.  Less spending is always good as long as you have what you need where you really need it.  I don't think the children, education, elderly, military or veterans should do without.
