I really don't get a lot of mail, but occasionally I get a wink or something from a liberal. Sometimes they are very accomplished, attractive, and I am sure many are nice people with a great heart.

However, if you are a liberal, you obviously haven't done your homework about economics, socialism, communism, investing, business, effects of over taxation, excessive debt, out of control IRS, NSA, Executive Orders, etc. the list goes on.  Anyway, I am afraid we would not be compatible, and in fact, I consider you a great danger to our country.  Actually I consider you to be my enemy, the enemy of my children and grandchildren, and the enemy of our country. Sorry, but please just don't bother to contact me in any way, you will get no respect from me.

...

Anyone who feels the same is welcome to use this blog to identify yourself.

Sometime just for grins figure out how many millions you would have to have in a savings account and live off the interest that would be equal to the people getting almost everything free from .gov...  My guess is several million, maybe as high as $15 million if you get a lot of .gov benefits.

Haha... with high yield savings accounts paying 3 to 4 tenths of one percent  and Student Loans commanding 10 times that rate you're right on the money at $15 Mil.

That’s not the worst of it; biology sometimes doesn’t just cast a vote.  It sometimes gets busy checking out airline connections as well.

The great thing about advice; it is only advice, you don’t have to follow it.

Local News (B'ham AL) did a story where people were living in Gov. housing yet making over 100K per year.

I guess "working is stupid" if tax payers are willing to pay you not to work.  It's kind of like the cotton farmer that I knew when in high school, he got paid not to plant.  He'd have been a fool to plant and make less money, when the gov. would pay him to do nothing.

It never fails. The libatards are not concerned about the fraud, waste, cronyism going on today..  They try to blame someone else..

Like I said, the number is impossible..  I don't care who said it.. There is a lot of waste in our gov and even a lot of waste in most big corporations. Yes it is wrong..  But it is also wrong to spend a billion dollars on a obamacare website that don't work when IBM offered to do it for free,  and the experts said it should not cost more than 10 million even if paid for.  It is also wrong to waste billions on solar manufacturing firms that go bankrupt..  Do I need to go on, or can you read the news?  We have never seen the current level of corruption in our entire corrupt history.

Further ...   Military bookkeeping is certainly bad.. It is usually done by some private, not a accountant.. I was the Exec of a Army company that was missing over 100 men.. The books didn't know where they were, had they been transfered, got out, AWOL, or what.. A guy worked almost a year tracking down where they went and still, after a year there were still about 40 unaccounted for.

I have to agree 2.3 trillion is impossible.  Just to large of number despite what anyone says.  Sometimes the government knows exactly where the money has gone, but it is more convenient for them to say they don't.  Maybe where the money has gone looks way worse than incompetence?

Obamacare is the Republican's wet dream and a bad nightmare for the American citizens.  Democrats are fools to be loyal to Obama as he is killing their re-election hopes.  Some Democrats have been wise enough to distance themselves from Obamacare.  If Obama wasn't such a arrogant narcissist,  he could dig himself out.  He should just say, I f'ed up in a major way and I will be working with Democrats and Republicans to fix the American peoples issues with Obamacare...and then put action to his words.  But I believe him to be so incompetent and arrogant that he doesn't have a clue how to fix the problem nor is he man enough to admit he was wrong.

I canceled my insurance with BCBS and wrote them a letter telling them I wasn't going to pay more for less.  I can honestly say that Obamacare will save me money as now I no longer pay for health insurance.  If something happens and I need emergency care, then I'll just use the loopholes in the system.  I figure if you can't beat em' join em'.  A friend of mine, which was paying for his insurance out of pocket, will now be forced to use Medicaid due to his monthly premium skyrocketing along with his deductible.  No way he can afford to pay.  One more person that doesn't want to be on government assistance, but forced to be. He has no other choice, other than to be uninsured.  He's not as daring as me.  Obamacare and Insurance companies are now in a war at the expense of the American people.  Most people I know haven't even thought about signing up for Obamacare and they are uninsured.  If something happens to them, they simple go to a local Emergency room.  When hit with the bill, they just don't pay.  Can't get blood out of a turnip, so just make sure you are a turnip.  :-)

I am sure there is money missing but 2.3 trillion is not believable. That is approx the entire US budget and much more than the military budget.

ByAleen Sirgany CBS January 29, 2002, 11: 18 AM

The War On Waste

On Sept. 10, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld declared war. Not on foreign terrorists, "the adversary's closer to home. It's the Pentagon bureaucracy," he said.

He said money wasted by the military poses a serious threat.  "In fact, it could be said it's a matter of life and death," he said.

Rumsfeld promised change but the next day – Sept. 11-- the world changed and in the rush to fund the war on terrorism, the war on waste seems to have been forgotten.

Just last week President Bush announced, "my 2003 budget calls for more than $48 billion in new defense spending."

More money for the Pentagon, CBS News Correspondent Vince Gonzales reports, while its own auditors admit the military cannot account for 25 percent of what it spends.

"According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions," Rumsfeld admitted.

$2.3 trillion — that's $8,000 for every man, woman and child in America. To understand how the Pentagon can lose track of trillions, consider the case of one military accountant who tried to find out what happened to a mere $300 million.

"We know it's gone. But we don't know what they spent it on," said Jim Minnery, Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

Minnery, a former Marine turned whistle-blower, is risking his job by speaking out for the first time about the millions he noticed were missing from one defense agency's balance sheets. Minnery tried to follow the money trail, even crisscrossing the country looking for records.

"The director looked at me and said 'Why do you care about this stuff?' It took me aback, you know? My supervisor asking me why I care about doing a good job," said Minnery.

He was reassigned and says officials then covered up the problem by just writing it off.

"They have to cover it up," he said. "That's where the corruption comes in. They have to cover up the fact that they can't do the job."

The Pentagon's Inspector General "partially substantiated" several of Minnery's allegations but could not prove officials tried "to manipulate the financial statements."

Twenty years ago, Department of Defense Analyst Franklin C. Spinney made headlines exposing what he calls the "accounting games." He's still there, and although he does not speak for the Pentagon, he believes the problem has gotten worse.

"Those numbers are pie in the sky. The books are cooked routinely year after year," he said.

Another critic of Pentagon waste, Retired Vice Admiral Jack Shanahan, commanded the Navy's 2nd Fleet the first time Donald Rumsfeld served as Defense Secretary, in 1976.

In his opinion, "With good financial oversight we could find $48 billion in loose change in that building, without having to hit the taxpayers."

Quoting BeccaBunny82:

On a serious note, I believe it was Woodrow Wilson's political advisor who came up with the idea of propaganda, and was the driving force behind giving women the right to vote. His sole purpose was to tear apart the family unit, because he knew that inherently women have always had a biological need to be taken care of, be it from a husband/family, or from the government. He saw the opportunity for the government to gain liberal control if only women would look to the government instead of their husbands to look after them.

This is the dark side of feminism, so now women are in the workforce competing with men, bragging about their independence while at the same time staying true to their biological urges by voting liberal and giving the US government the power it craves.

It's very unfortunate that as a result, men are not receiving the respect that is owed to them just for being human. We see this in tv shows and commercials that constantly belittle men and make them out to be buffoons with low IQs who need to be bossed around by their wives. Even shows on the Disney Channel elevate the intelligence of children over their fathers. It's truly despicable.

Interesting comment.  And now the people will be controlled by being dependent upon the government.  Politicians run for office so they can tell "the people" what do and how to live, so does it not make sense that politician will use whatever tactic they can conceive to control, rule, gain power, and get voted in.  I say term limits for all politicians...then bring in new ones.  Maybe we should even limit the president to a maximum of two 3 year terms.  8 years is just to long.  Limit political campaign spending...and if the politicians want to get press by spending then let it be on charity (and I don't mean a prostitute named Charity).  Anything over a certain amount can be spent on charity to gain press exposure.
