I really don't get a lot of mail, but occasionally I get a wink or something from a liberal. Sometimes they are very accomplished, attractive, and I am sure many are nice people with a great heart.

However, if you are a liberal, you obviously haven't done your homework about economics, socialism, communism, investing, business, effects of over taxation, excessive debt, out of control IRS, NSA, Executive Orders, etc. the list goes on.  Anyway, I am afraid we would not be compatible, and in fact, I consider you a great danger to our country.  Actually I consider you to be my enemy, the enemy of my children and grandchildren, and the enemy of our country. Sorry, but please just don't bother to contact me in any way, you will get no respect from me.

...

Anyone who feels the same is welcome to use this blog to identify yourself.

I have heard the "we don't have to pay taxes arguement" for 30 years.  One guy even wrote a book about it.  He wound up in jail. He might have been right but it didn't matter in the end, the judge thought he needed to pay taxes.

RE: Rumsfelt Speach Sept 10,2001. What Ron&Rand do not tell you is the unanswered questions to US VS Lloyd Long. He was a fatmer in Tennessee that got into the Fertilizer business, and made the businessmen wealthy in the Agracultural Business. He moved work to teaching people at the Saturn Plant, while attending ad-hoc meetings with some TAX groups. The US Attorney in the case tried to prove he evaded taxes willingly. Lloyd Long had been asking specific questions to the IRS, and giving them a 15 day timeline to respond. After 6 months of being given vague answers. He then ordered his Master IRS file. There, stamped on his Master file was the conclusion thathe was a non-paying individual. You'de have to read the Transcript's. The Main Point, according to his Master File was He was not obligated for direct, or Indirect Tax. These are 2 key words with the IRS...No middle ground with the Individual.  1907-  1920 were KEY POINTS with the GP, according to TAXES. Your Thought's???...   LV1

Sometime just for grins figure out how many millions you would have to have in a savings account and live off the interest that would be equal to the people getting almost everything free from .gov...  My guess is several million, maybe as high as $15 million if you get a lot of .gov benefits.

If biology causes you to sin, cut it off.  Disclaimer:  In this case I do not follow my own advice!  :-)

That’s not the worst of it; biology sometimes doesn’t just cast a vote.  It sometimes gets busy checking out airline connections as well.

The great thing about advice; it is only advice, you don’t have to follow it.

It never fails. The libatards are not concerned about the fraud, waste, cronyism going on today..  They try to blame someone else..

Like I said, the number is impossible..  I don't care who said it.. There is a lot of waste in our gov and even a lot of waste in most big corporations. Yes it is wrong..  But it is also wrong to spend a billion dollars on a obamacare website that don't work when IBM offered to do it for free,  and the experts said it should not cost more than 10 million even if paid for.  It is also wrong to waste billions on solar manufacturing firms that go bankrupt..  Do I need to go on, or can you read the news?  We have never seen the current level of corruption in our entire corrupt history.

Further ...   Military bookkeeping is certainly bad.. It is usually done by some private, not a accountant.. I was the Exec of a Army company that was missing over 100 men.. The books didn't know where they were, had they been transfered, got out, AWOL, or what.. A bright private (math major) worked almost a year trying to track down where they went and still, after a year there were still about 40 unaccounted for.

I am sure there is money missing but 2.3 trillion is not believable. That is approx the entire US budget and much more than the military budget.

ByAleen Sirgany CBS January 29, 2002, 11: 18 AM

The War On Waste

On Sept. 10, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld declared war. Not on foreign terrorists, "the adversary's closer to home. It's the Pentagon bureaucracy," he said.

He said money wasted by the military poses a serious threat.  "In fact, it could be said it's a matter of life and death," he said.

Rumsfeld promised change but the next day – Sept. 11-- the world changed and in the rush to fund the war on terrorism, the war on waste seems to have been forgotten.

Just last week President Bush announced, "my 2003 budget calls for more than $48 billion in new defense spending."

More money for the Pentagon, CBS News Correspondent Vince Gonzales reports, while its own auditors admit the military cannot account for 25 percent of what it spends.

"According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions," Rumsfeld admitted.

$2.3 trillion — that's $8,000 for every man, woman and child in America. To understand how the Pentagon can lose track of trillions, consider the case of one military accountant who tried to find out what happened to a mere $300 million.

"We know it's gone. But we don't know what they spent it on," said Jim Minnery, Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

Minnery, a former Marine turned whistle-blower, is risking his job by speaking out for the first time about the millions he noticed were missing from one defense agency's balance sheets. Minnery tried to follow the money trail, even crisscrossing the country looking for records.

"The director looked at me and said 'Why do you care about this stuff?' It took me aback, you know? My supervisor asking me why I care about doing a good job," said Minnery.

He was reassigned and says officials then covered up the problem by just writing it off.

"They have to cover it up," he said. "That's where the corruption comes in. They have to cover up the fact that they can't do the job."

The Pentagon's Inspector General "partially substantiated" several of Minnery's allegations but could not prove officials tried "to manipulate the financial statements."

Twenty years ago, Department of Defense Analyst Franklin C. Spinney made headlines exposing what he calls the "accounting games." He's still there, and although he does not speak for the Pentagon, he believes the problem has gotten worse.

"Those numbers are pie in the sky. The books are cooked routinely year after year," he said.

Another critic of Pentagon waste, Retired Vice Admiral Jack Shanahan, commanded the Navy's 2nd Fleet the first time Donald Rumsfeld served as Defense Secretary, in 1976.

In his opinion, "With good financial oversight we could find $48 billion in loose change in that building, without having to hit the taxpayers."

from the net.....

"A Brilliant Prophecy From 93 Years Ago

"H.L. Mencken (born 1880 - died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic, and Democrat. He wrote this editorial while working for the Baltimore Evening Sun, which appeared in the July 26,1920 edition.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.

H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920
So it was written...and has come to pass!"
