All over the world, there are people struggling in this very second, and will be struggling during the Holidays and not even see hope for a brighter future.

We are in here, on a Millionaire dating site, and many of us are bathing in assets and money, and are struggeling with some luxury matters, such as what handbag to wear today, my LV or Hermés...which is OK, we should be happy for what we have,,but also reach out a hand and  a athought to those who are in severe struggles.

I have been building organizations in my "sparetime", to make these peoples stuggles less painful...and I can say this, seeing a struggling child become excited and smile when receiving a cute doll...just as simple as that...yeah...that is the greatest Christmas gift of all to me.

I am talking about a child in an abusive home or with addictive parent/s, who has to be an adult and deal with adult stuff when only being a child...

Youngsters who are scared to cross their streets as they might get shot...

Schools feeling scared for a Sandy-effect...

I am talking about women aho are abused...

Molested and bullied children...and adults...

Mothers not being able to make ends meet, struggling with multiple jobs...

Fathers working day and night to support their families...

Soldiers in dusty ugly wars, ready to die for us, just so we can go on feeling the wind of democracy and freedom...

Children (and adults) sold for sex...

Innocent people used...

Geniuses misunderstood...

Old men and women forgotten, finding their time run fast in a nursing home all alone...

Children and adults being ill in different ways, maybe not knowing if they will live another day..and so many many more...

These people (and their helpers) are my Christmas heroes.

Worldmind is indeed consistent, and in this post as in so many of her posts she has captured the essence of the difficulties faced my much of humanity.  Her post describing what came upon a midnight clear thousands of years ago was an outstanding explaination of why we remember that first Christmas Eve and Day.

To be sure, many have made sacrifices seeking to ease suffering and uplift humanity, and we rightly call them our heroes.  Yet all of our human heroes -- blessed as we are to have them among us -- are flawed in some way.  Their flaws could be something minor such as bad breath, or something serious as in the case of Moses who murdered a man or King David who sent a man to die in battle so he could sleep with his wife.

Yet there is a God who calls upon even the flawed and finds a way to reach us even in our conflicted environment of good and evil.  In fact He works all things together for good in the lives of those who are called according to His purposes.  He was forshadowed by Moses and counted as being in the House of David.  That night when shepards in their fields saw brilliant lights in the skies above them and heard choirs of angels singing someone truly unique entered our dimension.

That God who seeks us entered into our own fleshly form, suffered the afflictions of the most lowly among us and then humbled Himself before humanity to give His life as payment in full for all of our flaws and shortcomings that we might be free to live a life of hope, joy and happiness.  With an offer and a win like that, why even bother to play the lottery ?  Put another way, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Even more, that gift, that life, that treasure is offered to all regardless of whether we "measure up".  Rather than being a reward for something we did or earned, this is a gift freely given out of unrelenting love.  All we have to do is received it.   True it seems too simple to be true to our sophisticated, educated and learned minds, yet sometimes seeing life through the simple mind of a child helps.  Put another way, "A child shall lead them."

So Worldmind, continui il tuo buon lavoro!  Grande sara il tuo premio nel cielo.  Frattempo balli cogli occhi, colla mente e colla goia della una fanciulla.  Auguri a tutti per un felicissimo anno nuovo.

Im myself rather new in comparison to several others on here..but trying to contribute according to how I view the world etc.

Thank you for recognizing and appreciating this blog..and yes..all that you are saying is definately food for the thought...amazing that we have landed on the moon far back...and are typing a message that will get to you in the matter of a microsecond and other so amazing inventions in the world..but still..the most important and basic human stuff are many times and in may places forgotten, belittled or just not prioritized or solved...how hard it seems to be...

Happy Holidays!

MissMonteCarlo, yes so true..so sad...as all children worldwide deserve to feel the Christmas spirit all year around actually...amazing then that they have a teacher like you that actually cares...as there are some who do not even notice when children suffer. I am sorry for the Sandy tragedy and hope you will go on and be as brave as ever.

Happy Holidays!

Yes, Christmas brings a lot of cheer to many people but it is also a sad time for many as well. For those who have lost loved ones, those who are ill or have no family etc etc.

I have to say as a teacher I do wonder about some of the children in my class, what their Christmas will be like. Not everyone is lucky to be brought up in a good family. Some children miss out big time. Such a shame.

Thank YOU Mtnsunny for recognizing my positive deeds and appreciatnig them.

I think if we know right from wrong and we make it a promise to ourselves everyday to try walking the right path, then that is a glorious day. Every day.

I said it before, it takes a greater one to know a great...you are a wonderful person and therefore wonderful things will gather around you on your path. Every day. How amazing is not gratitude and compassion.
