I was reading some news, and up popped the news about the übercyclist Lance Armstrong...I had to call some friends up and tell them and there we sat...shocked and disappointed..and mostly we thought about what Americans must feel, some even grew up with having him as a hero figure on the American map...these news, about him being doped, and lost all his titles must be extremely sadening to the world...
We are not into cycling as much, but this is not about one single sport..this is not only about Lance being doped..its about the entire world being d u p e d by him...duped into believing that supermen does exist, that humanbeing can be larger than nature in some extent..and in this...its also about Armstrong actually being some kind of "a dope don" behind the scenes, for his mates..and this is the worst doping story in the history of sports...
I remember back in the day when cute Marion Jones was stripped off her titles..how sad we became, as we were much into sports and it was like someone died..heartbreaking..
Can only imagine how this Armstrong story must impact the entire sports world and the sense of so much honor which is printed into sports sphere all over the world...
Its amazing when trying to imagine what must be going on in a mind of such humanbeing, winning stuff that does not belong to him, engaging the world in such victorious moments and false smiles...
I wonder if this will tarnish the entire sport-hero sense forever..that people will be extra careful and suspicious if/when another "Lance Armstrong" will appear...
Oh...many thoughts right now..hard to grasp..and the fact that he actually passed some doping tests..means they are not even reliable..so how many false sports-heroes do we have in this world?
Staff writer Andrew Mach, NBC News wrote;
Lance Armstrong won seven Tour de France cycling titles in a career that made him a superstar. But he was dogged by allegations of doping, and last year he was stripped of his titles after a scathing report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
Singer Sheryl Crow, Armstrong’s ex-fiancé, was with him during two Tours. She was interviewed by federal agents in late 2011 and allegedly provided information to aid in the doping investigation, the New York Daily News reported. According to people familiar with the matter, the Wall Street Journal reported, Crow knew many details about doping on the team and was helpful in the USADA investigation, but didn’t give an affidavit to the organization.
In an interview with Katie Couric after Armstrong was stripped of his Tour de France titles, Crow said she still supported her ex-fiancé.
“I know how hard he worked to win those titles, and you know, it was hard to watch,” Crow said. “I felt bad. I felt bad for him, I felt bad for his family and I kinda felt like the rest of America. He is a hero that we watched and looked up to and admire.”

Hmm...BeWell...yeahyou might be on something...its sad..ah yeah..good you mentioned AS....I mean whats these men thinking...! To be honest...i was once or twice involved in such situation where for example a world famous man tried to flirt with me and Im so happy to have declined his efforts..he even sent his bodyguard as a messenger!...and the worst thing of all was that my girlfriends actually became mindlessly excited so they wanted me to rather accept his invitative manners...as if they forgot he was married or maybe as they had too many glasses of Champs..but I just left the site as i felt the whole situation was odd...offcourse sometimes power itself becomes a drug for some people hence they act irrationally...but Lance is beyond "private" needs in the sense of love etc...he deceived his sport directly not indirectly as the others...and thats sooo sad...

There was a slight cliche... thank you World for saving my post for me. Yesterday was not a good day for dad or the family, a few steps back in progress, your thoughts and prayers help a lot through this transitional period. Mtnsunny

Good Morning Be Well, Jenknee and Worldmind,
I wanted to give you all a update on my father but also to say THANK YOU to each one of you for your support and well wishes through this time with my dad. Our family has been given a lot of love and support as we now walk this road of discovery when a loved one has had a stroke.
The brain is so intricate, I understand shaken baby syndrome so much more now, since they felt dad's accident did the same thing to him and with having had a stroke right before the accident, it intensified the symptoms. I'm very thankful dad made it to at least my driveway. We have finally sprung him from the hospital and he is now going through in house physical therapy to try to regain some memory loss, to think clearer and to complete sentences. And also the simplest routines, like getting dressed and brushing your teeth. He still thinks I'm mom at times and doesn't remember the accident at all. They still feel he won't come back completely, but I say, "never say never".
I'm thankful that the officer on the scene will most likely drop the charges, since he won't be driving again anyway. Funny, when you live in a small town, you know all of them if you have had teenagers growing up in WIndsor. lol
Thank you again and it's been nice to contribute some light posting on here after many days of intense hospital time. Mtnsunny

It is interesting that both Lance and Tiger were doing steroids when they got themselves into trouble. Steroids are known to cause crazed thinking in the holistic world. I think they were both not in their right minds and got addicted to power. Maybe Arnold Swartzenager too. I'm not sticking up for them. I think what they did was terrible, especially because it caused so much harm and heartache. Just saying..... There seems to be a pattern here..... BeWell

I'm sorry to hear all tha bad news. Losing your child is the worst and then losing your marriage. I hope you had/have some good support.
Your dad is very blessed to have you in his life. Hopefully there will be some vast improvement from his current condition. I was going to type something to you earlier but this blog was gone. As far as sticking up for you, there is no need to thank me, it was just the right thing to do. Take care of yourself and i will see you around the blogs :)

Just a quick note, since I have been at the hospital all day, Dad suffered a stroke. Thank goodness nobody was seriously hurt in the car wreck. After intensive rehab, he will have to reside in a quality, assisted living facility. The Neuro feels he will never regain his part of the brain that rationalizes and remembers clearly. A sad day for a amazing man that was not only the best father one could ever ask for, but a loving and strong man that anyone would be proud to have been part of his life. I am thought of, in his mind, as his wife (his Honey) that went to be with the Lord last March..but that's okay, because my mom was my best friend and if I am half the woman she was, it's something to be proud of and I will be dad's anchor. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.

OMG Mtnsunny...IM SOO DEEPLY SORRY! Completely shocked. I guess in this kind of situation one should be happy for the time shared and not the time not...as he along with your mother seems to have succeeded in raising an amazing woman, you, and you have passed this on to your own children being as amazing...a chain of love and genuinity that will continue on and on. Such an amazing gift!
Its not always easy for us, who are younger etc to accept their change, but unselfishly we need to just do so, just let them go thru their course of life as should and we can only stand by, and be thankful for what we were given by them...a life...and we can offer support, gratitude gesters and love love love.
We are speaking of the last hero song on here...but...your fathers and mothers hero song will live on forever thru you and yours.
My best wishes for you and your family Mtnsunny.

Okay, that "churchlady" image made me laugh and laugh...to me Dana Carvey is not that funny...but that skit is iconic. I was more of a fan of Chris Farley...may that funny fellow RIP...he didn't know how much he was loved.

OMG...whats been going on here!!! So lets see here..."Carlos"...a wild guess Dakota, as you asked...is it Voyager or one of his "fans" on here...for example the one who seemed to have been into the indian stuff aka "CherokeeChief", who posted earlier talking about "smoking peacepipes", sinulting around and what not...now he might have come back...and be into the latino-vibe, still asking if someone smoked something as I noticed on another blog entry...just guessing offcourse...
FACT: You "Carlos" is no newbie here.
Either way...the interesting in this is that THIS IS CLEARLY NOT A "NEWBIE", IT IS A PERSON WHO DOESNT LIKE some women on here, he doesnt like faith and he had blocked me from the get go...so I couldnt even view his profile...why would a person who is "New" here block me???? I have never ever talked to him in any way...the answer is in the actions folks.
"Carlos"...if you are refering to me as a "churchlady" I am sooo thankful! As Ive always felt a bit bad that I dont go to church as often...maybe 4 times a year...but I´d rather be addressed to as a churchlady than stuff that you and your "friends" would be addressed as...-------.
Ive for once never met any "Carlos" who is 6.2 feet tall, have lighter hair and dislikes christians and "churchladies"...as much as my surname is Solice (noot)...your name/identity would be a "Carlos".
...and most importandly..Mtnsunnys achievements with 4 children is an heroic one..far more amazing than 10 Tiger woods and 15 Armstrongs...and the fact that you are insulting her even though she is a hero, a woman of great deeds...and Im not even starting to mention how beautiful she looks after 4 kids...and Im sure...this is the kind of woman who should be put on a pediestal by any real man...but you wouldnt know anything about this you and your "friends" "Carlos"...would you. Cheapest shot ever!

Jenknee...I agree with you on that...but.."Carlos" has some issues with some people on here...so its just expected I guess...anyways...OFFCOURSE such drama affected his game..oh well...wait..it depends...depends if he has psychological mechanisms that locks out such stuff and only focuses on "gain" effects...

Dakota, interesting info you gave there...tanks for this! :)..oh very interesting..yeah...he must have taken some combo that is maybe not even heard of...ohwell...this seems to be a great deal for many in the US aswell...as he was a "hero" public figure...so I wonder what is reveiled yet about his substances.

Now..responding to Mtnsunnys comment on tiger..the first one..Oh yes...offcourse it is sadening...but this is a type of men who are good actors...they put on a nice and feiendly face while they are stabbing a person in the back...in this case..they were stabbing the entire world in the back...but..according to me there is a difference between LA and TW...that is that LA not only deceived the world but he deceived and isnulted his own sport...TW is an abuser aswell...but he deceived his family, friends and himself...so one is on a sportslevel..the other on a private level but as TW is a public figure.then his private life gets into the same pot aswell...but Clinton was allowed to sit thru despite the Monikagate...as they separated his private life and politics I guess (?)...but LA tainted the sport itself...so to me thats a bit different...
I find your comment interesting Mtsnsunny, as it is giving a good angle and perspective to the LA-story...and offcourse..drugs are deceptions serum...thanks for your comment sweetest you!:-)

...and by the way...anyone who will defend Tiger woods at this moment in time is actually stating something about himself...and mind you his exwife elin is A SWEDE, just like myself, and Im not going to disclose if I know her and her family personally or not...yoou just have a guess...but one thing is sure...people who still talk in cute terms about TW after his deeds to a woman, to a nation, to a family has something odd going on in his character...disrespect of some sort.

carlosTJ, i'm not a fan of your post here to MTNsunny. To imply anything regarding her children isn't respectable. You only make yourself look bad. you also typed "Sexist and perhaps racist" ? Ridiculous, and there is nothing "humble" in your opinion.
As far as tiger goes, how would you know he will do better or whether he's happy, or whether or not his troubles at home affected his game? All that happened very well COULD HAVE affected his game and from the little i've heard, he hasn't done that well since all the hoopla.
Jenkneee, just look at CarlosTJ's style of writing. See a similarity with anyone??? Also, I've heard through the grapevine that MTNsunny is a extremely nice woman.

I guess I missed something here because I don't see Carlos original post. My dad was in a car wreck this afternoon and I spent most of the evening at the hospital with him. Thank you for sticking up for me Jenknee.
Carlos, not that it is any of your business, but all four of my children came from a one and only marriage and it was to a wonderful man, our divorce was only brought on through the grief of losing a child from a farm accident.
As far as Tiger, it's sad that he couldn't respect his marriage and my remark had nothing to do with his color, age or religion. Maybe your just sensitive about it for what ever reason, which is your privacy.

Quoting CarlosTJ:
I see you have four 4 children and no husband. where did they come from ?? so Tiger can still whack Those Balls without that gold digger in his life. He will do much better now and so happy too. Let's hope He does not call you for a date. That would be a serious disaster. Tigers Golf Skills had Nothing to do with a European Blonde. Tiger is Tiger and will always be A Tiger....regardless of your sexist and perhaps racist opinions. I M H O Carlos.

I think the public views Tiger Woods with much less respect than Lance. At least I do personally. Tiger had it all and screwed it away hurting his wife and family. Lance wanted to win so he chose to take drugs to give him the edge. And the question is; how many that was competing against him was also taking performance enhancing drugs but were not caught? Also, there is no telling what Oprah had to pay him for his interview. Sadly, the world is seeing that people that do wrong do win. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the poster child for roids, yet instead of punished, he's made millions. What does that say to society? And has society become desensitized somewhat accepting of such behavior?

World, This saddens many across the world and reminds us how drugs can turn your life and those closest to you, upside down. Is it worth it? Another great brought down, Tiger Woods, not by drugs but by his choice of life style. All a false front to the world that looks up to him, admires his talent and love for his dad. Today, he is a has been, so much respect...lost. Even some caddies don't want to work with him. His reputation tarnished forever and a marriage with a beautiful wife and children...gone. Was it worth it? Many will replace them who will be a inspiration to the sports world, but these two, with a few others...their names will always be remembered in a negative light. Was it worth it?
