Hello again Posted on May 25, 2008 at 06:39 AM
Hi to all the old bloggers and hi to the new names I don't recognise. What happened to some of the oldies?
The Bachelor Posted on Jan 19, 2008 at 11:40 AM
Was channel hopping and landed on the Bachelor. It is amazing to see the people dynamic. Would any of you do something like this? The majority of them split up and seem to use the show as publicity platforms. This when someone ends up hurt.
Illegal operation Posted on Jan 02, 2008 at 10:09 AM
This is how I explain the deal to men that are interested. I am licenced software: If interested you may take me out as trial software. You will only get to experience some of the features to see if it is the software for you. The advanced options are disabled. If you like, the trial version, then you may upgrade by buying the software giving you your unique access code and full access to the programme. If this doesn't work for you, sorry your free trial has expired. This software doesn't run with other similar software, so you can only have one licence. It may cause bad viruses and loss of initially installed software - me. Tecchie enough for you sir? MWAH
Who is posting in my name? Posted on Jan 02, 2008 at 05:15 AM
Hi ya'll. I got a mail from a member saying the following: "You posted a message on PVgolfer I was thinking of answering his email.....Wise choice? Thanks" Well needless to say I didn't post anything on the forum or here. Just got two winks from him to which I replied with a wink since I'm not a gold member. Anyone got a similar message? This may suggest he is being a bad boy. :):)

Lost in adventure Posted on Dec 11, 2007 at 04:45 AM
Yesterday when visiting over a cup of tea I told a very close friend and the dearest old lady in my life that 2007 is merely living out its calendar value for me. 2007's things are over and done with Sunday past. I look at 2008 as a total different season and adventure waiting to happen, as I take the lessons learned in 2007 along with me. I refuse to sit at the same point with the same issues cropping up. I think at some point we all listen to others and just accept their treatment of us and we merely accept things the way they are and then tend to want to go into the duldrums. I am through accepting the same old patterns. Life, love, happiness, getting through trials and rough patches is within my ability to handle. I am the only one who can make it happen - the people involved are there to enjoy the ride with me and in the process become part of my colourful tapestry that will mark my life. So for all of you I wish a great 2008 where you will lose yourself in adventures, loosen yourself from the chains that try and drown you and that you will all come out with a story to tell at the end of 2008 that will just confirm what wonderful people you are.
Christmas Greetings Posted on Dec 09, 2007 at 08:58 PM
Yes, I know it is waaaay to early, but with the way things are going for me and have gone, I just want to wish you all a super Christmas and a great 2008. How have you all been? Though very busy and having landed my dream job, things are rather hectic. Prospects of a real holiday only next year March. My personal laptop also decided to cash in its chips for now. Harddrive went including keyboard, so I am waiting to get it back.

Friend - an often misused word Posted on Oct 09, 2007 at 10:27 PM
Do you classify people in your life? Friend Acquaintance Colleague Pal/Buddy I do that. People often get offended, but friendship embodies that handful of people who you can trust and be safe with. My view: Acquaintance is someone you see every now and again, but don't share closely with. Colleague (even when you work together for long) is just that. Pal/Buddy is someone you can call on who practices a hobby with People so often use the word friend while they misuse, abuse and judge you. They base their relationship on things you do for and are to them. A friend of mine went on about if I only do this or act that way then I would be better. That is where I told this person that these are my idiosyncracies and if they cannot like me for those as well and all that embodies me, they're not my friend and they should take a hike. I said I won't be what they want me to be, then I'm a fraud. That cast a light on things for them. A friend is someone who; when you stuffed up royally will love you anyway, but know to chastise you in a loving way that won't damage the relationship. That is the people you hear the truth from, even when it hurts.
Just went through a break-up Posted on Oct 02, 2007 at 05:32 AM
Without going into much detail and theatrics this is my experience. I'm angry and annoyed right now, but do say that I don't judge all men to be the same. Just seems like a'holes come my way. A guy approached me a couple of months ago and insisted on seeing me when I said I am not in the mood, tired and want to relax. He insisted and said he had to see me, so I agreed to see him. He was upfront that he had an ex and that they split, but (I can hear some of you sigh) living there still because he pays rent and they said they are friends until he finds another place. The gist is. He dated me, but then he was unsure about his future and then he was not over his ex. I told him to take a hike two weeks ago. On Sunday he shows up as if things will be okay between us and he wants me. Digging up all the feelings and hurting me so bad. We spent the entire day talking and sharing. He cried so much and so did I. Yesterday he delivers the punchline of going back to his ex. What a bastard!!!He still had the audacity to judge one of my male friends after he saw a picture of us (group photo) on my laptop. I then found out in the phone conversation that he contemplated marriage to the ex just before he met me. In this all while crying, he said he never wanted to hurt me and that it hurts him to have hurt me. BS!!! Well bottomline is: I told him that it was like my best friend betrayed me and that as far as he is concerned, I'm dead. I don't want him in my life ever.
Alchohol should be banned entirely Posted on Sep 26, 2007 at 06:39 AM
Off-course not entirely or at all, but I knew the subject line would get a few blood pressures up. :) Sadly I had to see the dead body of a young man not older than 25 this weekend. All caught on video camera, the deceased and his passenger who later died, were dicing a Merc whilst under the influence. Paramedics told me that there was booze in the Golf that was rather damaged. The Merc tapped the Golf and then left the scene without stopping. Thankfully there were no other vehicles involved. It shook me so hard to see the young man lying there alone, whilst thinking that somewhere there is a mother and father who will get this news. Who knows, the passenger may even have been his brother. Double tragedy. Then he may be a dad, a husband, a fiance or a boyfriend the list goes on. It is a pity that like smoking, alcohol usage can't be regulated the same way. I'm sure some of you are direct victims or those left behind because of an alcohol related car accident. This was so unnecessary. Why do people get into cars under the influence anyway? I refuse to let friends drive or get in a car if I know the person has been drinking. Just wanted to share. WO

Lived a dream this weekend!!! Posted on Jul 08, 2007 at 12:11 PM
As some of you will know, rally is my passion and it was a dream to drive one of these magnificent cars. I got to do just that. I drove a rally car yesterday. It was amazing!!! We had a rally and I waited for it to be over before going out on the road. The driver went with me and was impressed. All I can say, whatever your dream is - LIVE IT! The car I drove is a standard production Mitsubishi 1600 Lancer. Yummie.

What's your favourite view? Posted on Jun 24, 2007 at 10:14 AM
I get to see this everyday for the next couple of months. Was taken from a diving barge. This is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Cape Town. What is your best landmark in your area?

Do you think that ........ Posted on Jun 19, 2007 at 10:55 AM
Do you think that men and women can actually meet each other halfway or are willing to do that? That lovesongs have become idealistic? and have society become so self-absorbed that marriages and deep commited relationships will eventually become a distant memory? I've been and left a local dating site and have been speaking to someone who is also letting the sub expire and then leave. He said that this particular site is more like a virtual pick up 'bar'. MM is the classiest by far and having the blogs and forum is great.
Has this happened to you?? Posted on Jun 10, 2007 at 11:18 AM
At a business supper, we discussed online dating. The guy seated next to me said that half our rig is on a dating site. We know each other from working together and I said I am glad I never ran into one of the guys. It would be uncomfortable. Has it happened to you that you ran into someone you actually knew? Also have you been in a situation that you dated someone in a company that actually is a service company for you?

Has anyone seen the movie? Is it good? It will start showing here in June sometime.
Your favourite radio stations Posted on May 01, 2007 at 04:33 AM
With technology, I have discovered a nice radio station Sun FM in Canada. It is very much like our KFM 94.5. Great music and presenter. I got to hear songs that has never been released over here that are great. Would love to listen to some of your radio stations. Can you post a link?

After almost a year, I am moving to my new place that I had built to my needs. It was not so much teh builders, but rather the administrative processes that held it up. I'm very excited and cannot wait. I'm sure some of you have good advice what to look out for and post move-in items that one never think of until it happens. Please comment.
