We have all heard it...

Repeating mistakes and expecting different results!

We are who we are. We love who we love. And we can try to change it but for the most part..you will always find someone who reminds you of one of your parents.

I wish my parents could have been a little less insane but the fact they are deeply in love after 50 years...makes my demands a bit more from the man I am looking for.

The loneliest place you can ever be is in a relationship with someone you don't really like or love.

I have tried to love wealthy men but damn if I can do it. It takes a special kind of woman to sit quietly in a corner and admire the King from a far and only be present when he wants the company!

You deserve the haute couture for that kind of dedication.

I am more the type who expects the same equality in a relationship and I make sure the man always loves me just a little bit more.

The reason why?

Its the only relationship that truly works.

But it only works when you know the man loves you more and for that you will bring him the loyalty and respect he deserves for the love he showers on you.

Don't take love for granted. Its the only real gift worth having!

The definition of insanity is when I have to tell my girl friend for the tenth time that , "If he were interested he would not let a week go by without contact."

Money does not have anthing to do with love but it does contribute to attraction. Beauty has nothing to do with love but it also facilitates attraction.

One line alone resonates with me:

"The loneliest place you can ever be is in a relationship with someone you don't really like or love. "

This, for sure, is as true as true can be.

HI VIVAVICTORIA...
AND WELCOME TO THE BLOGS! :)

I love Einsteins quote regarding insanity.. (or is it STUPIDITY.. LOL) so much I have it quoted on 2 online profiles! It can be damming how we tend to revert to "old patters and behaviors"...

I do not know that everyone finds someone who reminds them of one of their parents.. but I cracked up when I read you wished your parents had been a little less insane!! I wonder though.. after 50 years and you say they are "in love".. perhaps insanity is necessary to find lasting love..

I could relate very much to your statement regarding "the loneliest place you can be is in a relationship with someone you don't love." I have experienced this several times and have walked away. Although I was very lonely.. I could not help but think the ones I walked away from must have felt twice as lonely as I did...

I too, am disheartened for you by your statement of wealthy men and sitting around having to admire them waiting for them to seek your presence. I can assure you not all wealthy men are like this... and I've met poor men who display the behavior you describe. I feel it boils down more to "selfishness." I've been with "selfish" and determined after one man (very poor) who was like this.. I will run if I see the signs again.. (regardless of his wallet.) It never feels good to be in second (or third or fourth) place..

I chuckled again when I read your "he has to love the woman more".. as that is one of my BFF's mottos and she told her daughter (and everyone else) this since she was very young!

Best wishes in your quest for "Cupid!" .... And WELCOME to "Blog-Land!"
Einstein looks a little "off" here... I wonder if that's where the "takes one to know one" came from? LOL

Interesting perspective.
I cant imagine what money has to do with love. My best friend always says you can fall in love with a rich guy just as easily as a poor one-makes no difference.
Your insight into dating a wealthy man is somewhat disheartening to say the least but I am more interested in meeting someone who is self-sufficient. I am tired of carrying the man who is quite happy to have me come up with the ideas and earn the income (then take the credit).
I would not be happy with the relationship you describe either so I do see your point. King and Queen -yes, King and servant-I DONT THINK SO.

I like your take on the definition of insanity. My take (which in essence is the same) is the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

*By the way where is the spell-check. lol This requires to much thinking without one. lol
