How far are you willing to travel to meet someone? 50-miles? 100-miles? 200-miles?

Im not on this website looking for a man with millions. I run and have a very strong company. Im looking for a AMAZING MAN. The travel distance does not matter if I find the right man. I dont have a problem meeting men, I just havent found the right man/partner.

If you think beyond the first meeting you have to answer the question concerning how much you're willing to travel to maintain an LDR. Sooner or later someone will have to move.

For the right, interesting, magnetic person, anywhere in North America, Europe, UK, Mid East. If they were in Asia or Australia or Africa, maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle.¿ Would definitely take a chance to meet one who I felt had the mentioned qualities.

Travel distance should not depend upon a man or a woman. Long distance travel should be something you were going to do anyway. If there is someone you wanted to meet along the way so much the better. If you really hit it off multiply by a factor of five. If it doesn't work out move on and enjoy the rest of your trip. Jumping on a plane and flying half way around the world just because somebody smiled at you is for amateurs. JMHO.... I spent seven weeks in Alaska and western Canada with that attitude. I had a blast and met some great people from this site along the way. That was five years ago and I have remained friends with several of them till this day....

I once moved across Canada to live with a man I met on a dating website, after a few months and a number of trips back and forth between us. He told me he loved me everyday, until the day I moved in, then it stopped. I had no money to go home on, no job, and no friends but, I managed to pull myself together and actually stayed in that city for 5 years.

I guess my point is the risk is always there that it will end badly. I'm not sure I would do it again, I think the feeling would have to be extremely phenomenal....LOL!

We can and do..... jump in a plane for $2K RT¿and be on the other side of our world.¿Enjoy the culture and sites.¿A perpective love of our lives even might be there ...but whatever happens we will¿have experienced more than the grass growing in the back yard. We certainly aint taking it with us. That old addage of "You never know what your gonna find" until you find it. ¿It's all in the journey not the destination ...you might have less in your pocket but more in your soul....lololol

It depends upon the person.¿ If I were a woman, my rule would be 10 miles, UNLESS I preferred to be way from MY home territory¿a few more miles than that, in case he turned out to be stalkerish.......OR, if¿I planned to visit a farther-away place ANYWAY.¿ But too many people are not what they represent themselves to be to venture farther, primarily for security reasons.¿ There are exceptions, of course, but they should be oh-so-well documented and vetted.¿
¿
For me, I would go anywhere in North America, South America or Europe.¿ BUT, again the farther the distance, the more amazing the connection must be.¿ And the timing, and the circumstances of MY life schedule.¿ Some times of the year, I couldn't get to Europe.¿¿ And, let's face it, the odds of that one in a million connection between a woman from another culture, and a good ol' boy from GA are microscopically slim.¿ And we have to be cognizant of the logistics of life AFTER first date, if we are looking for a long term relationship.¿ It is one thing to make a date, quite another to make arrangements for enough exposure to build a relationship, unless one party is free enough from obligations to just up and move after a date or two.¿ I can't imagine such a swift progression myself, but some people do it and make it work, at least for a while.:)
¿
So, I evaluate the quality of the connection, and the ability of both us to progress PAST an intial meeting in judging whether a trip is worth it, since I am looking for (the last) long term relationship, not just to meet-and-greet another woman in¿another town.¿ And it would have to be mostly HER flexibility, because I am¿un-relocateable, due to the joys of parenthood. But, if we both think the connection amazing, CURRENT pics, web cams, phone calls, etc., I would not rule out meeting someone because of distance.
¿
AND, if you are just talking DATING, there can be an ADDED joy in making a 'road trip' out of it.¿ If I were only looking to date, I would most certainly enjoy the added exotic component of the travel.¿ A woman in California could be a welcome vacation from everyday life.¿ A man in Toronto could be an exotic liason, IF that is what you'e looking for.¿ Or one who will meet you in Antigua, for example.¿¿ But, these type 'first meetings' carry a greater risk of sucking (and not in the good way):):):), too.¿ And even for this type meetin, security should be addessed, thoroughly.
