Always wait to reply...unlike me, who replied whilst intoxicated....no match!!! Certainly do not blame him, upon reflection, wise decision, but am finding that first strike and you are out, so very harsh, just wonder if anyone can laugh at silly behaviour? Or, is this the way it is? Best Behavious Always BBA

Bless you. A girl after my own heart! Thankyou. I too have a tendency to over analyise but sometimes we have to accept that "its just the way we are".  Thanks for sharing your barstool story, I found it so funny, I am a klutz too and am a nightmare in heels!!

Have decided to take all the wise info on board and wait....I am impatient also, but I shall try.  Have a great day x

You're welcomed Theresa :)

Just keep in mind that Bridget Jones isn't everyone's cup of tea and neither are we! By the way, I love Bridget Jones, blue soup anyone?

Quoting Dakota35:

Liv, you wrote "How kind"? (with a question mark)  There are things you don't know that I went through with someone, trying to escape.  And at the same time she hated herself for what she was doing, but just couldn't stop.  The whole experience made me much more understanding.  But anyone with that problem must help themselves and all we can do is give our support.  But I have very little tolerance for those that make no effort and try, or pretend everything is okay.  That type will never get well.

Now, funny story as to why dating and drinking doesn't mix.  I went to a local museum event where they do serve alcohol (expensive).  A friend (he was at the time) was drinking.  He's a big guy but it doesn't take much to get him drunk.  So near the end of the event he comes over to me and says. "you see that girl over there?"  I looked and said "that blonde (bleached) girl?"  he said, "Yes, that's the kind of girl that I want, she so hot"  I nudged another friend and said, do you think she looks good?  He took one look and said "NO!"  Later he (the friend I nudged) told me he could only look once because she was so unattractive.  But under the influence this guy thought she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen.  He kept telling me the same thing over and over as we walked out the door.  Finally I said;  Greg, I think you should go ask her out, I believe you hare a real chance with that one.  But he was to afraid because in his mind she was just to beautiful.  And this is not the first time I've seen this.  So moral of the story:  DON'T LOOK FOR LOVE (or even a date) WHILE WEARING BEER GOOGLES.  Or you just might end up doing the coyote ugly thing. (In case you don't know that is, it's were you wake up in bed with your arm under someone so ugly that you'd rather chew off your arm than wake them up).  Hey, don't blame me, I didn't come up with it.  And ugly people need love to...someone got some love for me? :-)

DAK - You always get me! And you are right about people accepting that they need help and trying their best.

Now you've got me ROTFL with that story of your friend and the coyote ugly thing. Oh dear! As for the question mark, it was only for the intonation, so it's not for asking a question. I should have added an exclamation mark so the intent/meaning becomes clearer. Sorry.

Liv.

Liv, many thanks.  I am a responsible adult!!! CRB enhanced checked. Would not jeopardise that. As you would know, "drunk" would not have passed. Surprisingly, had such a plethora of emotions. It was my birthday, friends had come over...new to this after being encouraged by friends. Imagine scenario, someone contacts me, fear, delight, and drink enhanced and conducted my conversation as such a complete t.t! I always read others' profiles and try to respect what they are looking for, so do not contact if i don't fit their remit.

I would never pretend to be something I am not, Nun, tart etc. spring to mind, and quite honestly if Mr. Darcey were to truly exsist, think we should BOTH take him out for dinner, would be hilarious. Promise I shall just drink T.

That's why by choice, I come home to my rescued cat, particularly today after 15 hours, with fireworks going off everywhere, and wake up alone!

Dak just has the capacity to write succinctley and with knowledge.  I agree, he is a Gent.

I'm glad you understand it pretty well. Just ignore the guy and move on. There are unfortunately more window shoppers on here than real buyers, so don't worry about him. You'll probably have met him and found that he is 10-15 years older than he claimed - LOLOLOL!!! [I know it sounds like the old German fable of sour grapes, but still - anything to make you happier :-)].

Have a great day everyone!

Liv.

Here are 2 words for anyone on the internet who gets rejected or judged-so what. I am not saying that I don't feel for anyone who has been rejected or misunderstood or has been treated unkindly. Those 2 words are what we have to say to ourselves when it happens. This person doesn't know me and who cares what they think of me, so,.. so what!!  I still struggle with the concept of "so what" especially since I tend to overthink things but I do try to use it.

Personally I love when people don't censor themselves and share whatever is on their mind at the time, as long as it doesn't hurt other people or is racist ,etc.. I'm no saint, I have hurt with my words but try not to. Poking fun at someone can even be misconstrued online, we can't hear a laugh, tone of their voice,etc..

Right now I am thinking how I was in the Tavern and I went to get on a barstool and fell hard, all the way to the floor. I imagine most people who saw me fall, thought I was clearly drunk which wasn't the case at all.  I am accident prone and a complete klutz!!  Sometimes I feel the need to say"I'm not drunk, I'm just a klutz" or sometimes I don't say anything. So what does it matter what someone else thinks, graceful I am not.

The ability to not care what others think can be a gift.  Dance in the rain, shout from the rooftop, cool off in the water fountain, show who you are and someone may love it, or not ;)

Quoting wwww12345:

No one I know wants a drunk..  The solution?  Quit.

I couldn't agree more.

However, if it is on this site Theresa, don't beat yourself up! Even if you were teetotal like me, it still would have turned out that way. If it helps I will tell you this, I don't drink or smoke or act stupid or anything like that; yet I have only been on a handful of annoying dates since I've been on this site, so don't sweat it, OK? So come on, chin up, girl! And try for the next one - but make sure you are sober :-).

DAK - How kind?

Liv.

I have never watched Bridget Jones so I probably do not catch the refrence. Never got the impression that you were a drunk. (You have since confirmed that you are not). I could say that if you choose to be a social drinker then drink responsibly and never abuse alcohol but I am sure you already know that and for you it could go without saying. We all live and learn. Just relax and put your best foot forward:)

One can get the same result with careful, sober, reasoned, deliberate responses.  Don't beat yourself up.

Thank you, but far too embarrassed.  I deserved the "no match", but really appreciate your comment. Lesson to myself and others (as Bridget Jones would say)....never, ever use technology when you have had a drink!
