With my dedication to accuracy in the research of human endeavors, though, I feel it only fair to warn you that some of the activities may require repeated experiences.

I think it still holds true, but not in the sense that would catch a man. It only exacerbates what is already there. It's an addition to, one could say a man becomes prouder of his girl. Just as good profession and earnings of a man is an addition, it makes her prouder of her man. But she doesn't marry a man simply because of his earnings (unless they are gold diggers - another story). Just as a man doesn't marry a women because she can cook.
Perhaps one could say, it is part of the 'cement' to seal the deal.

Properly prepared and presented, a meal is a feast for all the senses. The romantic nature of food is NOT the sole domain of woman in her quest for a man's heart. An intelligent man knows that this ritual is equally valid if he does the work and presentation.
Ever watched a woman eating a piece of very good chocolate. Tell me there is not a lot of passion in the action. She is feeling aroused by the experience of smell, taste and texture as that confection explodes in her mouth. A romantic man will ALWAYS have some special dish that is a treat for all the senses in his regimen of romance for that special woman in his life.
Breakfast is without a doubt one of the best places for a man to concentrate his skills. Get up before her and shower her with a feast showing your affection and love for her upon her arising in the morning. Done right desert will be a treat for the both of you ;)
