I had written this post online for my followers and I assumed it would be ideal to share on MM too. I've read a few post on MM and noticed how gossip, rumors or making PRE-JUDGEMENTS and assumptions become easy for us to do. It's a typical reaction for humans, but have we ever tried correcting ourselves and learning to speak with a more positive outlook? Maybe there was a reason behind the actions? You might learn, giving people the benefit of the doubt is far more pleasing then being negative; after all, we are all human and desire the samethings in life, no? Just a thought...

Gossiping and spreading rumors are my least favorite things to do. I'd rather be on the "unsociable" list, then be around gossip or people who thrive from damaging other peoples lives. Remember there is always two sides to a story! Don't surround yourself with negativity, as they may be gossiping about you too. -
Start your 2014 with a positive outlook and love. Even if change of scenery is required, then start making that change today. Become inspiring and use your years of experience wisely. Instead of trying to correct others behavior, try changing your own. No one is perfect, but making an attempt to improve is better then believing no improvement is needed. - "Make A Change And Start Improving Your Life Today, Not Tomorrow."

It's possible, but unlikely.  I think he was married with children.  Memories fade but I do recall seeing Plato with Aristotle at New York City's Gay Pride Parade.  It was in the 80's.  I also remener seeing a motorcycle club... Dykes on Bikes.. they were "butch" and they were topless.... still trying to erase that mental image.

Roc,

I am aware of a few gay guys in the closet with wives and children, so these days that is hardly an accurate yardstick for measurement lol....

Why am I being sooo darn b*tchy?

Hi Curious, I just read your post and wanted to explain. Did you see the photo in my post on here with the two young guys with weird foreheads?  They're called bagelheads. It's a popular trend somewhere, thankfully the solution they put in their foreheads doesn't last very long, maybe 24 hours? Here's another photo of the look. Crazy huh?

Totally bizarre.  I suppose it's one of those things that is hilariously funny for those doing it while having no point whatsoever beyong being hilariously funny.  As long as it's harmless, everything's cool, I guess.  LOL

I read this blog and said to myself "what the hell is a bagelhead?"  I looked it up on Wikipedia and I still don't know what the hell a bagelhead is.

ROFLMAO just trying to make sense of this blog.  Maybe I'm just getting too damn old to follow all you young whippersnappers.  But I'll keep trying...  I'll keep trying.  LOL

Wow SYS, you have no idea how relevant your article is for me at this moment in time.

In the small office I work in, this is exactly what I am trying to work through.

When bitchiness and negativity is all around you it is very difficult not to be influenced or to make a comment. I managed this for a full week last week and became an isolated little island  happily focused on my work, my time was much more productive and the interactions I had with people outside of my office were much more positive.

It felt like progress.

And your article feels like a reassuring reminder!

Very well written.

Ultimately I think all judgmental negativity comes from fear and insecurity.

Everyone has the freedom to make choices in life. If you wish to be a flat head, then that's your choice.

I make no judgements. I don't judge flat or bagel heads as they are both welcome in my world. As long as they are happy, then I'll be happy, and for that, I appreciate everyone equally.  BUT if we have a criminal running around killing innocent children or adilts, I certainly wouldn't want anything to do with him/her. We all have different opinions and that's understandable but making judgements on the unknown is a problem.

Quoting Dakota35:

Jenkneee you are correct...there is a whole lot of masking going on, on this site.  Some folks on here don't even have their own identity, they choose to be what they believe people will deem as attractive, cool, and acceptable. Fake not only to others but to themselves, to a point where they only acquire the identity of what they believe others want. Very sad, as their originality will never be allowed to bloom.

Thanks Dakota and Stunning,I'm glad you both agree with me. I do find it quite sad that someone chooses to hide their individuality and instead becomes a follower.  Anything to fit in!!  While we're at it, let's all be politically correct. Unfortunitely we all lose when people choose to not think and act on their own. Please don't hide what you're about to just fit in.

So how polite should you be? Should we be falsely "positive"?  No offense to all the positive people out there but I tend to think more realistically while still keeping some hope and some positivity. Sometimes I might even appreciate all those good moments even more BECAUSE of my realistic views of the world and of the future.

I once heard this lady say something to the effect of, "I hide the crazy for about 6 months in the beginning of a relationship" then I let it come out. lol.   Well..this man of hers may be getting quite a surprise 6 months down the road!  Not that I'm crazy but you better believe that whatever sums me up, he is going to know from the beginning, within reason of course. I may be an open book but no need to tell your life's history in the first 10 minutes either.

Bagelheads are popular in a certain area of the world, are you wanting to be a Bagelhead too?  Is your forehead just too plain on it's own? Do you feel bad when you walk into a room of Bagelheads because you don't have the same forehead as they do?  You can change it today, become a Bagelhead!!

 * I don't care if the entire human population all become Bagelheads! You will not find me giving in to it. I will be the lone, flat forehead girl forever :)

I agree with you for the most part. Being kind is the best way to be and gossiping can be hurtful, etc. BUT I think it is best to see someone's true colors on here instead of having them mask who they really are.
