AS we mature I think it is important to understand what is IMPORTANT
Too often we want to repeat the patterns of our past and can not understand why life seems to stand still - nothing new or exciting is hapenning.  It should be clear that if you do what you have done in the past then you will get the same results.
We are all here because we would like to have new friends in our lives. More specifically men want a woman friend and vice versa.  How far that relationship will go will only be known as it evolves.  For a woman to focus on marriage or a LTR before meeting someone seems to  me a recipe for grief when it does not happen or handing to a man the key to your heart without knowing him.
I just like to live and enjoy everything life has to offer.  What I miss today may never come back, what I enjoy today I may enjoy again tomorrow.

I have to agree with spirit2004 on the importance of understanding what's important in our lives. The thing is...what is 'important' to some is superficial to others, and what fulfills one person leaves another empty. Like many things in life, what is important to each of us depends a great deal on the environment we were raised in and the values taught and practiced by our parents. That doesn't make one lifestyle better than another...only different.

I do disagree that if we continue doing the same things we've done in our past we will get the same results. That will only happen if we go through life with blinders on and don't learn from our mistakes. If we're doing what we love, and are willing to change the way we approach what we do...wouldn't that determine a different outcome in the end?

As for relationships...I don't think anyone can have too many friends, and if we're fortunate enough for one of those friendships to develop into a life-long love affair, we can consider ourselves truly blessed. Like many of you on this site, I'm looking for friends. New acquaintances who share my passions and can show me this amazing world we live in through their eyes.

I don't 'need' a man in my life to be happy. Would I like someone who shares my love of animals and the beauty of the wilderness to share life with? Of course, but being alone doesn't mean you're lonely. If you're comfortable with who and what you are, life is a miracle...and each day a blessing that should be embraced with open arms.

The definition of insantiy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result
whats unfortunate is most women dont understand men , basicallly because they think like a women . men think like men  not like women .  Sex is romance to women  .  A man s  take on the subject of sex  doesnt come close to a womens feelings desires, hopes, or dreams .  i was raised by my Italian father with a mans point of view . i do not dislike men at all i just understand them and truly feel bad for women that seem to live in a fantasy world and full of angry at men for being whom they are . Every one should have the right to be who they  are . and just because someome doesnt understand you isnt your fault .
Myself  , i like sex and have never had it expecting someone to marry me . )Actually have only wanted to marry one person and i did )    .   I cant afford to have high expectations of other people ,,too much stress !!

I'd live life to the fullest if life didn't keep getting in the way.
