Quoting Orlando__:

It is the female who chooses their mate in the animal kingdom and in humans.  Males must work harder for the attention of the female species.  This, in my opinion, is a weakness and not a strength.  It is too bad the male species must rely on looks while the female can be herself. Moreover, being more adorned in the animal kingdom is a disadvantage.  It makes males more conspicuous to predators.  Another biological flaw, in my opinion.  I do think the theory falls apart with domestic animals--cats, dogs, horses, hamsters, etc.  Then neither gender is more beautiful.

Hmmm....I don't know too much about cats, dogs or hamsters, but have observed horses a good bit.... and stallions are way better looking than mares.  Their head often has a chiseled appearance because of a more developed jaw, prominent forehead musculature and often smaller ears.  (a mare's ears are noticably larger, perhaps for predator detection)  Bodywise a stallion's neck is much more muscular and defined, especially along the top line which gives it a beautiful arch....and his coat is many times more soft, luxurious and shiney.  Typically a stallion will also have a thicker, more luxurious mane and tail.

All thanks to that magic substance called....testosterone!!  *wink*

I haven't had a date in over 3 years.  Proof he's wrong. :-)  Or am I just to damn ugly, apparently a exception to the more attractive male rule.  Just from my point of view, there is nothing more beautiful in the world than a woman.

Lions, birds, fish nearly all, but as mentioned this is somewhat subjective. Look at cardinals for instance as they are quite common. The male is bright red, with a big ole head dress and the female drab green with a roundish head. Look at mallards. This is almost universal in fish and birds. Compare lions. Compare dogs. The animal kingdom is rife with such examples. Peacocks, Chickens. In humans why do you think so many women wear make up, and augment breasts. How many men do? Why?

Are you saying that an attractive young single male millionaire has a better prospect than an equally attractive young single female millionaire?

So how has your status as a millionaire [if you are one] given you an advantage in attracting the right female?

I completely disagree with you on your assumption that the male species in animals and humans are more attractive than their female counterpart; can you kindly provide some evidence that supports your assertions please?
