Hello Dr. ..Thank you so very much for you kind and generous compliments...I appreciate them more than you know...I am so happy you have found your way...I have always felt it a shame how a chemical in balance can reek havoc on our lives...the good thing is you are now seeing the sunshine again...I pray it continues for you. Your daughter sounds talented..to me writing comes from the core within us...it comes from our experiences and our growth..our passion or sadness..and perhaps some of our regrets. But most of all it comes from the love of life and the hope of sweet tomorrows... Thank you again.. Erica Anne@)------

Power in your words, absolutely! Just changing or improving the words can transform life. The power of the spoken word is one of the most powerful creations one can use.... Choose your words wisely!! Problem-Challange Lose weight-Release weight try-train victom-victor if-when tomorrow-today lack-abundance have to-get to On the other hand, a word is a label of the meaning giving to it? think about that... what are your words? empowering or non-empowering? Start by, I am......(successful, love, funny, healthy, ect...choose your life words, )

Not sure where to start.Your word are wonderful to the soul .my soul has been in disarray for all of my life.I was finally diagnosed with bi-polar at a late age in life but am now seeing the best doctors in the country and am in a study to help others.I love the written word such in the way that writers such as your self are able to express themselves. My older daughter after taking her younger sister on an evening on six st. in Austin being only in 7Th grade .We walked and they were amazed at all the street people .One man had his car covered in cu pie dollies and he shared some with the girls. The one thing i am coming to is after that experience my daughter wrote a poem that had such insight and compassion about the homeless in the street being overlooked by the party goers that her teacher was so impress ted she had it published in the paper. You have a gift that most people would give anything for please continue to give others inspiration.

Thank you "75 ranger " so much for your positive comment..We all have growing to do...Sometimes our pain and our disappointments in life may get in the way..making us feel we want to defend ourselves ..or just strike back out of fear and anger. I have learned through my own past experience that it is better to try to rise above this...offering words and actions that exude kindness, understanding , love and forgiving gentleness. These are the acts that soften the heart. Thank you for posting...

They are worth reading and invoke a wide range of emotion within us...Sometimes it is good to go back and revisit our past. It sure makes us appreciate how far we have come in this journey "called life" appreciating all of the peeks and valleys that have created the people we are today...Thank you again...Pamela

BlueEyes, That is so sad...children are very impressionable in the first place...we are like a blank slate... a sponge what is said to us as children is absorbed what is done to us the good and the bad stays with us through out our lives. Some of us are lucky enough to get past it..but honestly I think we always carry that small child within us. This is why so many of us have issues of trust and are full of fear..... fear of loss ...fear of abandonment 'and the all to real fear of not being accepted for whom we are...this is why we are insecure why we are wanting whey we need and seek our validation for whom we are..we seek help thru therapy looking for answers to questions of our hearts souls and being. Then are told that we have to get in touch with our inner child that we need to heal the inner child that dwells within us...easier said than done. We are all worthy and special beings...each of us have something special an unique that is ours alone. We should praise one another for this uniqueness. But we don't ..instead we concentrate on the one another's faults and deficiencies...we bash each other and rip each other apart. Why can't we just be nice. Say something nice positive loving caring...reassuring...why not reach out and touch in a good positive way .. who knows we just might make someone's day or perhaps life. Thanks for posting BlueeyesBeDazzled You are a beautiful ... God Bless Erica Anne

Thx SouthernStar - I enjoy your comments everytime and I agree with much of what you say in all of them. I really dislike cynicism too and can tell you feel the same way. Pls keep up these kind of postings, I'll take them anyday over much of the rest. And, BEBD, just want to say well done on living a good life and I'm sure proving the naysayers wrong.

Southernstarr...Your words and the acknowledgment of how they can help or hinder us rang true for me...It is true that words can make or break you. Can mold you and shape you....The story I will tell you had a profound effect on me at the age of 12 Taking me to a place that I seldom go....a time growing up in the foster care system. Having a disability (physical in nature) on top of feeling very displaced being in a system that seldom cared...Children had a case# and because of my disability, I felt like a commodity ( more money was payed for a child with a disability)... SO , moving on. At the tender age of 12, and in the 6Th grade. I had the opportunity ( as any student in the 6Th grade)to be in this "very handsome, 6'4 teachers class room for one period... John Gavin...tall , Blondie and very handsome...All the little girls would run to hold his hand at recess...I was one of those girls. In order for us to be allowed to attend this class, we all had to take home permission slips...As I approached my foster grandmother with the slip in hand, She looked at it and looked at me and said, first off..."No" because I would gaulk at him and never get anything done. Then she said, I will never forget..."And if you think any one tall, dark and handsome will ever like you, you are sadly mistaken" I stood there in disbelief....staring at her and without a word, I turned and without a word, went to my room. This had a profound effect on my as a young girl.It effected me clear up into my adulthood. Sometimes I think it is a cadalist of self doubt that I stow upon myself. Woundering at times, if she was right. Words can be a wonderful tool. Or they can cut like a knife and effect you for a long time to come.
