Fishy, you look to be in some trouble here in your pic sitting by that snowed-in tire.  I sure hope you've dug your way out by now.  I haven't read all the posts here, so maybe I'm missing your having dug your way to freedom.

LOL about your comment about me.

Keep on keeping on, my friend.  Spring will be here soon.

  Hi there Pat,

The truck is old hat now, made a brine using ice melt and poured it in the hole, repeated for 4 days.

Hows things going on the East side of our country? It's finally getting to where I can be outside doing a few things without freezing. After being gone from home almost a year I'm finding repairs outside that I'm taking care of so that I can leave again soonish,    LMAO!

One of these days Pat, I'm going to stay home and Live here. When that day happens I'm gonna get me a DOG! Maybe even get it up to THREE.

Good blog rmac,

I'm not on much these days and a lot of it is because I see 2, 3, 4 and often more blogs from the same author. The rare time I even look into one the author often as not has just that many post to their credit.

As soon as I read your blog I just knew Pat was going to be here, Hi Pat, you and your 3 year olds, LMAO!

And a quick Hi to Liv, Haven't seen you in awhile, the boys must be old enough now to be a handful. Love your new pics!

leon,

The way I live is perfectly normal here, the women of the world don't stand a chance, a dog won't even travel with me [yet]. Anytime I'm tired of the pickle I keep running across I just remind myself that I could sell out and move next to a McDoanlds so that I won't be late for work. It's all worth it if you LOVE it.

Yep, watching someone else’s terfuffles (is that the word?) is lots more fun than being caught is a nasty, insulting one yourself.  Though there may be some who enjoy them.

You were close! What a fun word to say to describe something not so fun. lol. I am going to use it in the future.  There needs to be a animated smiley eating popcorn to go along with that word in posts.

rmac,

Make a brine using ice melt, I only used 1/2 gallon of water. Put a jack under the truck with a slight strain, repete once a day [this one was 4 days]. The tire was free on the 4th day, next, move on to the joys of living off the grid. Enjoy!

I have mixed feeling on the nuclear option.  It is a fun idea.  Newcomers to the blogs might have a hard time getting going.  This can be a tough crowd.  Probably get tougher if we had a nuclear option.

Occasionally I have wished for a personal zap button.  Truly don't want it for real.  Would have to be fair, unbiased and all that stuff.  No fun at all.

Maybe a quota system; you are allowed one bad blog per week.  The subsequent ones without a six day interval between can be blown up by 2/3rds majority vote.

Fun to speculate, but it “äin’t gonna” happen.

We should have a nuclear option for crappy blogs.  If enough people click the crappy blog button, then the blog explodes.  Sends a message to the writer saying their blog as been nuked.

I think there is a deeper responsability with the administration of any blog site. The blogs are one of the social engagement mechanisms of MM, and should have a set rule standard, beyond the grey area of the basic blog & thread rules. That remove mechanism goes far beyond standard blogging rules. I've been blogging for over 15 years, and know the tone of a cupped handful of other blog site standards. I would not  go anti-knitting on a knitting site...suicide move, but community usually decides in the threads, or lack of them. There are millions of love, hate, and desire blogging, and threading points, yet to surface with network blogging. While some may not like the number, or tone of some blogs; community rules still should dominate, through the threads. Sufficient rules to civility on the blogs exist. Hype's are a challange with many blogs, and bloggers. I try to work with the system, and this  sometimes create's another avenue of expression; if I see one's rules beyond the norm. Somewhere Over The Rainbow, in Gen's blog was first earmarked to my song blog, which was on the new blog list one hour, and gone hours later. It also fits with RR. I agree that some bloggers "Flash 4" on the Marquee, and some get annoyed. I've seen , and have one now, where other unrelated items are being discussed, and am happy to share my angle to their threads. Years teach tollerance, and careful articulation of one's opine. This Leo sits on the dune also, and contemplates truth, and fairness. Roc should know Ron, due to the humorous angle of his joking nature...

I was only chokin', My friend!

Try to find stupidity's end

If I can draw a little grin

Just to make you smile

Be your child a while

Again, again
