Thank you Britt.  The holidays are not over for me yet, and I have been on another adventure....thank you for your thoughts as to the advice we have shared here.  Those of us who have been here longer may already know most of this, and we can save the newbies so much grief.

Thank you, and Ready, for all the hard work you have been doing to protect us from the scammers, pervs, trolls and so on.

May all your dreams of happiness, success and love come true in this next year!

I am FREE!   Today I was able to move my car.  First I called my insurance company.  They called back to tell me that the tow service was charging and additional $50. I was a not going to pay that!  So I called a bunch of local tow companies.  The wait would have been up to 8 hours...plus they all had hiked the rate up.  Somehow, paying $75 to move my car 8 feet...made no sense to me. So, as my luck may have it, I was walking down to the mailbox and spotted a couple of the local "boys". Big strong, country boys. I caught up with them and offered them $10 to help me get out of that snowbank.  They hopped in their jeep and took me down to me car.  I got in my car, they gave me a push or two...and before I knew it my car was out and facing down the mountain.  I thanked them and headed down the hill to Wally World for more anti-freeze (as my car had over heated on the way up.)  So all seems to be fine.  My car seems OK, and my insanity is slowing melting.

As to behind the scenes stuff.  It is always going on. We never know if what we have heard is true or not...often we have learned things about people that protect us or others, other times a rumor is started that is not true. Let us hope that we make the right choices and know the facts before we react.

Happy Holidays to each and every one of you.  You have each made a difference in my life.

Conyers. Hoot!  hooooott. (thought I would make you feel a little better) I think we were all suprised about the Tiger thing.  It has become a great way to describe others like him however, both men or women. Did you get any of this snow over there?  Arrrrrggghhh.  I finally got down to my car today. It is stuck in a snow drift that has turned into a giant popsicle. Frozen in time and ice. Tommorrow I will meet a tow truck driver who will help me get it out as we were not able to move it at all today.  For some reason the new Fords do not have tow bars. What is that about?

Quoting Arizona53:

Should not throw stones........

Arizona,  You are new to the blogs.  Everyone builds glass houses here. The longer you are here, the more comfortable you will get talking to others on the chats and phones.  That is when the glass house starts getting dirty...After being here for several years you will know things about bloggers that you do not know now. Some of their glass houses begin to develop cracks....Every now and than we get surprised when another blogger jumps into the blogs and start spewing information about what happened when they met someone else, or what the person really looks like. Other times someone who feels jilted will contact another member and share everything that they experienced in great detail. They do not know it will be shared. This is when the news hits the grapevine and bloggers "step back "to avoid having the glass shatter all around them.

Always remember. This blogland, that we call the funny farm, is mostly illusion. What you think is a glass house, is really only the sun shining off the doorknob.

Welcome to the funny farm!

Tink, I agree.  Blogging can be fun.  In fact, I have learned a great deal about who I am since the time I first started blogging here.  My first blog was about being scammed.  Some of the "seasoned" bloggers at that time were somewhat cruel to me.  They insisted that no one, with half a brain, would fall for the ploys of a scammer. It ended being a popular blog, but was a learning experience for me as to how people will voice exactly what they might feel.  Wrong or right. We are going to have our own opinions.

And yes, we will remove our comments, or change them when we feel the need.

My skill as a writer has also gotten better.  Somehow,  developing my skills here has effected how I write in the real world where I am a published author in my feild.  Who would have thought that this could happen as a result of blogging here? The quality of many of our writers here is very good.  The way they can express ideas and thoughts leaves me amazed at times...

Tink,  You are so right.  The blogs is not the place to share personal information.  As you know, I seldom do.

Sometimes we get so carried away with having fun in this world of illusions in blogland  that we forget that some people might think we are being serious.  Jeepers.

Newbies do not know this and tend to make the same mistakes we all have.

What else have we learned about blogging here?  And why do we continue to play in this playground?  (My excuse is being snowed in and bored.  Today I am hoping the snow will melt enough so I can finally get my car out of the ice. I suppose I should be thankful that I am not one of those 40,000 homes in this area that have no power. )

Tink,
Snow also brings this world I live in to a halt.  We never expect it here at this level and no one knows what to do when it arrives.  If they see a snowflake they shut down all the schools and government offices.  Unlike Minnesota where I was raised. I recall snow storms where the snow was higher than our house...and the year that my mother went to the hospital in a snow mobile to birth.  We never knew how cold it was...

Thanks for the offer of your new friends brother.  However, distance is very important to me.  Besides, I am going to be spending the holiday with someone special. (not a blogger!!!) I must admit, I have met some really great men as a result of MM. As an added note, I will not share any more about what is happening in my romantic life.  The only reason I am sharing this is so that some of those who are here know that I am not involved with who they thought I was...

So you will have to keep the blogs going as I will not be playing on them while I am boating.

Tis the season to be jolly...Deck the halls with boughs of holly. And all that other holiday cheer.

Tink,  I think that Conyers has no problem in expressing his desires.  I think he would like to find you under his Christmas Tree (somehow, I am unable to keep the thought of that joke about the Angel on the Christmas tree.)

We do know that the back scenes with many of our bloggers is much more active than with those who are posting.  As to the Secret lives of bloggers. We may never know until  someone lets the tiger out of the bag, especially as you say, the newbies who do not understand how this unreal world can be at time. Even then we are not sure of what we have heard, or read. (chats are being copied).  Maybe we are wrong at times, but often, the facts that were shared are so common (even if stretched longer than they really are..) that we recognize what was said, as it was also told to others.

And life goes on.  Each of us feeling a little wiser (totally unfounded maybe-but we think we know something more than we might really know, if we really know anything new at all, or even if what we think we know is totally unfounded in reality as it all comes down to entertainment of some sort.)  Have we simply lost our minds?

My car is still stuck on the mountain somewhere.  The temps. go up to 50 tommorrow so it should be melted where I can drive it the rest of the way up.  The snowplow made it up here this afternoon. (of course did not do my driveway...those sounds of huffing that you hear are me trudging through 12 inch drifts...OK falling through the top of them. A quarter mile...huff huff.) No mail today either.  In fact, I spent another 5 hours with micorsoft.  They went into my computer by remote.  I think they have made it even worse.  By the time they were done to day they said it must be a problem. I told them I had bought a new monitor to test it on the PC and they said that it must be the connection at the plug in area....sigh.   So, now I am transfering as many files as I can to this laptop.  I refuse to put any more money into my desktop....Arrrggghhhhhhh.

Wow, Queenie...four days snowed in !!!!!!   That might bring about cabin fever even he WERE showed in with you.  I hope you have some good books, or I bet your keyboard stays warm.:):)

.

And Tink, does this mean I shouldn't prefess my undying love (and really kinky thoughts about you) out here for everyone to see???.....I was kinda hoping for instructional  safety tips from our friends, so I'd survive.

lol Conyers kinky gerlinky thoughts about me????/ Do you DARE say those things in public???

Queen and bloggers, we ALL know what goes on here behind the scenes. As has been said we who have been here for ever {it seems} all talk and share so there are very few secrets. Our community is small but pretty close knit. Those who are playing a Tiger game..... and it happens from time to time, with someone who blogs,. we all know, except those newbies caught up in the excitement with their eyes shut. NEWSFLASH !!! if it looks too good to be true.... It is!

Now what can i bring to the party?? what about some Vintage Bollinger and just for Conyers my kinky gerlinky wardrobe.....dont worry girls I have ALL sizes

Yes, Arizona.  Playing in blogland is like living in a glass house.  What a great phrase.  I hope that what we have shared here reminds people to be careful with what they say and write, both on the blogs, and behind the scenes.  I think I could safely say that more is going on behind the scenes than on the blogs.....

Well.  Look at this early Christmas gift.  What the heck is this box for and where did it come from.  Very interesting....

As you have seen.  We can have loads of fun here when other bloggers join in the game.  We do not have many preferred members who can blog in real time, but most of us have been here far longer than we ever imagined we would be.  We are a dysfunctional family of sorts. It is nice to see you joining in on the fun.  Blog on!

Meanwhile, in this blog, the subject of "balls" and the size of the equipment that some members have seems to be popular.   Do you have Christmas balls?

LOL Conyers.  Yes, it has been four days and I doubt if I will get out today unless the weather goes back to where it should be.  The snow plows (all 3 of them) have not made it up this mountain yet.  The road is paved so I would think they would have been here...but no.  I walked to my mailbox yesterday (OMG!!!!  I am really starting to go stir crazy.  I am usually so active and now I am stuck in reality!!  I have been drinking so much tea that I am spending most of my days walking back and forth to the restroom..) At least I have my cats up here with me...but as you say, if "he" was up here, it would be much more interesting... So yes, the keyboard of my laptop has been staying warm.  I also made myself some chocolate pretzels yesterday.  Not a good idea as they are too easy to eat...one after another.  I have also had time to watch the Robin Hood TV series which I have found to be very entertaining.

I think that what Tink was saying about posting your lust and interest in another is not what you are thinking.  Most of us can see the difference between playing and ....well, it is a fine line.  I am not sure of where that line might start as I am not always grounded in reality, or this crazy funny farm.  However, when a man or women begins to play a Tiger Woods game in blogland they forget that everyone here probably knows what is going on...and some are not good at understanding that some people are going to be dogs no matter what....the problem begins when those who are playing the Tiger game meet someone who shares what happened with someone else who blogs, who copies what they have shared in writing, or simply shares what happened with another blogger...and then it hits the grapevine.  Once into the blogland grapevine everyone compares notes...and sadly, the truth of who that person might be, or pretends to be, is revealed.

So everyone, be careful of what you write to others, what you are sharing with others, and know that when you least expect it...if you are doing the Tiger game. Someone will feel jilted and will feel the need to seek revenge or share what has happened-in detail- with anyone who will listen. ( Of course, they do not know that all they are sharing is being shared to EVERYONE.)

Which reminds me. I have just read your comment on another blog about the size of your equipment.  What equipment are you talking about?  Do you have an extra snowplow?

Another thing that some bloggers may not get is that it is considered good blogging manners to post on other peoples blogs.  How many times have we seen the blogger who creates a blog, and people take the time to join in and play, yet that blogger never bothers to post or comment on what they have said, much less comment on anyone elses blog.  Especially those who take the time to post on their blogs. This is a sure way to lose the interest of any blogger who might post on your blogs.  Bloggers might post a few times on these peoples blogs, but soon will stop.  Have you noticed this happening?

By the way, I am still snowed in on this mountain.  Day 4.  My car is still down the mountain waiting for me.  ARRGGGGGGHHHHH.  I am hoping I get out by Wed. so I can go to where I will be celebrating the holiday.

Rose, "What does A blogger look like :-)?" Try looking in the mirror....

What you said is VERY well expressed and so I want to repeat what you  just said.

Blogging etiquette 101-when you post on a blog it shows manners to respond to those who have posted to your blog. The blogger starts A blog but it's the bloggers and the interaction that make the blog.Duh! Yes I am guilty myself the last blog I did "life called" and i never responded .My sincere apologies to all who posted. It does require time to blog. You can not sit on your hands(or whatever you do with your hands...) and watch the responces come in...

Oh, and by the way. I did notice that you brought a "ball" with you.  Never really thought about those Christmas balls until now... So do your store your favorite balls for this time of the year?

Quoting Queenofyourdreams:

Rose, you are such a party animal.  I am sure that I could never keep up with you. We are now getting more snow. Maybe an additional 4 inches ( no comments please ) mixed with rain, which of course will turn to ice, which of course will freeze over the snow, which of course will continue to not allow any cars to come up this mountain, which again, has me thinking about how lonely my car must be down there.  On the other hand, maybe my car has found another car parked near it. Is this how cars date?  TTYL. Have fun shopping.

And, by the way, what do you think about dating bloggers?  And one last thing, how do you feel when you post on a blog and the author seems to ignore you?  And wait, one more thing.  What are you bringing to the party?

Moi A party animal:-0 Is this fantisy or reality.....I've never dated A blogger. What does A blogger look like :-)?                                  Blogging etiquette 101-when you post on a blog it shows manners to respond to those who have posted to your blog. The blogger starts A blog but it's the bloggers and the interaction that make the blog.Duh!
