The answer to your question is----YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE.
Something must have happened to men during the last few decades---they seem to have learned how to play games. I thought that was for kids.
I hope to start a good dialogue about people and how a lot of them try to validate themselves by aquiring certain posessions. I think that spirituality has been eroding in the USA and we are becoming products of marketing.
It seems like most marketing companies try to condition us to place our value system for ourselves on their products. While that is nice for the business I think it will have bad long term effects on our society as a whole.
SO, I'm not a "stay in a 5-star hotel" guy. I prefer off the beaten path. I don't HAVE to eat at the finest restaurants even though it can sometimes be fun. I'm not going to buy a castle in Italy just because it'll impress people. And I will not buy a bigger lawnmower than my neighbor just to show him up (lol).
So, if you are a person who realizes that you validate your existence off of material possessions that is fine. But, if you don't realize it then please think about it and make your own choice. Break away from the herd and be your own man or woman. I wish you all the best of luck.
