I talk too much.

Would you be so kind as to remind me here every now and then to keep it to myself more?

Thanks in advance!

I think he was an oldtimer too, from several years back....perhaps called Voyage to the Stars or something like that.  A quirkly kind of guy, funny and likeable in my opinion.  Because he could also be sharp tongued in his opinions, a secret email society was formed which conspired to get him banned.  MM generously complied.

Anyway, he was always talking about trying to have a real world meetup....even offered his home up as a venue. I don't know what ever became of him.  Hopefully he's found some peace and happiness.

Hi Lady Di, I'm just hibernating this winter in my little nest. I love your new picture!

I kinda miss Voyger54 but I feel he hung himself. He did like to talk about his wealth [whether real or not] and the murder of his family by the hands of the Red Army. Having several very good friends who are Old Believer's of the Russian Orthordox Religion I have learned of the 21 Million Russians that Stalin had murdered for they and their families survived the death armys.

i have a best friend who was born in China 55 years ago who is Russian. My "It's Here" blog are pictures that I took on his boat and my "Fishing with Fishy" blog is his boat that I helped save. Through the last 60+ years my friends have been robbed of thousands of family members, just like Voyger but don't bellyache about it anywhere near as much.

The slow horrible death of his beloved wife in their youth would change Anyone, I think Voyger is the first to agree. Mid life crisis and to much rum, I don't know. He did change online and not for the better. I never got any of the secret e-mail stuff [nipped that in the bud long ago] but it was world wide web.

Like you Diana, Hopefully he's found some peace and happiness.

I know there was one meetup in Baltimore.  I lived in Philly at the time but didn't attend  because the attendees didn't interest me.  I think there was one in Vegas as well but life intervened at the time.

There were a few men who I would have loved to meet and some are still here... Don, Ray(NGL), Bernie and Bill who sometimes drops in.  Robtest and Blueeyz seem to have disappeared.  Some of the new guys here also seem interesting.

Many more women bonded and some met in private.  The blogs had many more participants but there was core of smart and witty men and women who had incredible creativity and senses of humor who drove the blogs. There wers quite a few posers who didn't have much to say but said it anyway.  So, aside from the number of participants not much has changed.  The blog police was mostly responsible for the demise of the blogs back then.

One who I regret not meeting was Marianna from Argentina,  She was gorgeous and outrageously funny.  She traveled here to visit family and did meet up with some friends in LV.  She  then traveled to my hometown, NYC amd met up with some East coast women.  I was supposed drive up to meet all of them but if memory serves, a snowstorm intervened.

It'd be fun to meet you two.

I'm always up for a party......because I basically have no social life!  *wink*  I work and that's about it.  How bad is it when a business trip to Houston is viewed as an outing?  lolo  See y'all in a few days.

Diana

I remember Voyager54 too!  I was wondering what happened to him and I thought of dropping him an email to see what's going on... He seemed like a very nice guy and if anything, he was genuine about who he was and where he is in life...sort of speak...:-)   Hmmm, have you kept in touch with others?

Roc,

how were the meetings, did a lot of people attend?  were they all rich and fabulous ?;-)

I'd really love to see you both somewhere

Roc,

Did you ever know a chap named Voyager54 in your old blogging days?  He was a tall blond guy that lived up near Lake Placid in NY and traveled often to Florida.  He ended up getting kicked off the site last year due to some other bloggers that got offended and complained to MM about him.  There was quite the kerfuffle over that incident....and it left the blogs permanently tainted in my estimation.

Never the less, he spoke of a MM meetup ....I think in the Bahamas or somewhere.  Just wondering if you attended that one.

No.  I'm going back 4 or 5 years and if he was around he wasn't memorable.  There were quite a few characters back before they appointed a hall monitor.  With all due respect to Brittany, before she was appointed hall monitor, the blogs were a free for all and we had quite a bit of fun.  I see that some of the most popular blogs are still in the archives.  There were quite a few memorable characters but the guys that got the most heat was VisionaryLover.  He claimed to be a Breatharian who believed in the Urantia Book and became everyone's punching bag.

Kerfuffle... I like that word and may use it in the future.  I did pop in on occasion and found the same people in different seats chatting about the weather.

We had a few gatherings back in the heyday of the blogs.  Seemed the woman felt more of a bond than the men.  I've stayed in touch with some of them through FB and email.

Florida works for me.  Both of my daughters are older than you but if you're interested in having some big sisters and are not opposed to adoption maybe we could work something out.

Roc,

you are a much braver soul than I imagined you to be. The chatroom is wicked, never thought  I could see so much kerfuffle over spilled milk in one place.

On the good side of things, there's a real-world party that is being planned as we speak, for either february or early March. Anybody interested? It's Florida or Vegas as far as I read....

So last night I ventured onto the chat and nearly got my head bit off! ;-))

Such a funny place this site, some prefer to stick to blogs... other chat away in a fantasy paralel universe where we held a party yesterday, got drunk, some of us had sex, others were insulted, some got kicked out and 1 had to call a cab to get offline safely ;-) ....

What a night! What is best? ;-)

We look at callsigns, with profiles, and signs. Inferrences are misleading. Ling is an Aries...That fire....' and an aggressive Aries. She wants a man! Everything aside, not relying on backchanneling networks; she looks for dreams realizing, with, of course, the constraints of huberis. If not fire, then air. All depends on the veil, and other aspects.

People define themselves by their actions, and character association is common in this new Aquarian age we have encompassed in the last 75+ years. The trends are there! What we want. That's the key!
