Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me. I've been an awful good girl, Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight. Santa baby, 54 convertible too, light blue. I'll wait up for you dear. Think of all the fun I've missed, think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed. Next year I could be oh, so good, if you'd check off my Christmas list. Santa honey, I wanna yacht, and really that's not a lot. I've been an angel all year. Santa cutie, there's one thing that I really need, the deed to a plex in my hand. Santa baby, fill my stocking with a Rolex, and checks. Sign your 'X' on the line. Come and trim my Christmas tree, with some decorations bought at Tiffanys. I really do believe in you, let's see if you beieve in me. Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring. I don't mean on the phone.

Can't make this stuff up

From our local newspaper: . . - - - - - . . - -. . . Posted November 05,2007 MANSON -A cow fell about 200 feet off a cliff Sunday and landed on the hood of a minivan passing by Rocky Point about one mile east of Manson, officials said. - - .. - Charles Everson, Jr. and his wife Linda escaped injury. "It was just 'bam- you just saw something come down and hit the hood," Charles Everson said this morning from his hotel room in Manson. He and his wife are in the area fiom Westland, Mich., near Detroit, to celebrate their one-year anniverw, he said. They were on Highway 150 headed back to their hotel after attending a church service. Everson, 49, said he didn't actually see the animal until it hit - and didn't realize what had happened until after the impact. "I'm like, 'I don't believe this. I don't believe this. I don't believe this,' " Everson said, adding he repeated the phrase "about 20 times." The incident happened about 12:20 p.m. Arnold Baker, Chelan County Fi District 5 chief, said the cow was a heifer he estimated to weigh about 600 pounds. "It's funny because it was such a close call," Baker said. "Inches different and the couple in this car would have been killed." The cow, about year old, belonged to a breeder in the area who had earlier reported the animal missing, Baker said. The animal was euthanized at the scene. The Eversons continued on about a mile after the collision before pulling over, and were taken to Lake Chelan Community Hospital as a precaution. The van suffered heavy damage, including a broken windshield from the force of the animal hitting the hood, Baker said.

What to be when you are dead.....

Yes, I am bored. I was researching data on what to do with my body when I'm dead. I am an organ donor, but that started when my organs were in their 20s. I'm not sure I have any good organs for donating, and I would guess there would still be a lot of body left over. I don't feel like being buried, that is to say I don't feel like being in the family plot, especially when we are spread across the country now. I jokingly told my son I was going to be cremated and put into an gaudy urn with written instructions to display me in his living room for a minimum of 7 years. Now, you have even more choices. You can have a sculpture made from your ashes, you can also have a diamond made from your carbon, you can have your ashes under glass, you can have a biodegradable coffin, etc. So what DO you want to be when YOU are dead??

Don't like my attitude?

I saw a cartoon of a cat with the caption "Don't like my attitude? Call 1-800-get a dog." So I did. From the pound. Now I have a dog, a gun and an attitude and I know how to use two of them. While cleaning up my yard, I wished the cartoon had read "Don't like my attitude? Call 1-800 get a man." Instead, I continue with the Alpha dance with Annie...............the bed hog.

Then I read the message my friends would receive. Item number 5 is "Find out how popular you are". Why do I always feel I am repeating 3rd grade on this site???? No wait, I actually got kissed in 3rd grade.

There was a lot of blogging about scammers, but what about the innocent ones? I was recently contacted by Rande aka Visiontant. Many of you will remember him here. He asked my help in clearing his name. He was removed from MM as a scammer and cannot come back. Debbieinitaly met him, he is real, he is well know in some circles. I googled his profile name to find that his pictures have been used by scammers. You can tell from the writing that it isn't Rande. So...........what about the people who are NOT scammers but get removed from here. Did Rande scam anyone here?????
This is his picture below that I just "stole" from another site. Too easily done.

Back to kindergarten

Robert Fulghum: All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sand pile at school. These are the things I learned: - Share everything - Play fair - Don't hit people - Put things back where you found them - Clean up your own mess - Don't take things that aren't yours - Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody - Wash you hands before you eat - Flush - Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you - Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some - Take a nap every afternoon - When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together - Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that - Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we - And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK
Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living. Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had as a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out in the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

"The Gift"

T'was the night before Christmas, He lived all alone, In a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone.
I had come down the chimney with presents to give, and to see just who in this home did live.
I looked all about, a strange sight I did see, no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
No stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand, on the wall hung pictures of far distant lands.
With medals and badges, awards of all kinds, a sober thought came through my mind.
For this house was different, it was dark and dreary, I found the home of a soldier, once I could see clearly.
The soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone, curled up on the floor in this one bedroom home.
The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder, not how I pictured a United States soldier.
Was this the hero of whom I'd just read? Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed? I realized the families That I saw this night, owed their lives to these soldiers who were willing to fight.
Soon round the world the children would play, and grownups would celebrate a bright Christmas Day.
The all enjoyed freedom each month of the year, because of the soldiers, like the one lying here.
I couldn't help wonder how may lay alone, on a cold Christmas eve in a land far from home.
The very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees and started to cry.
The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice, "Santa don't cry, this life is my choice;
I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more, my life is my God, my Country, my Corps."
The soldier rolled over and soon drifted to sleep, I couldn't control it, I continued to weep.
I kept watch for hours, so silent and still and we both shivered from the cold night's chill.
I didn't want to leave on the cold, dark night, this guardian of honor so willing to fight.
Then the soldier rolled over, with a voice soft and pure, whispered, "Carry on Santa, it's Christmas Day, all is secure."
One look at my watch and I knew he was right. "Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night."
This was written by a US soldier, name unknown, and published on a website. I wanted to share it with all of you and hope you give thought to what a wonderful life we all share.

Does anyone know about the storage of wine? I just noticed that an unopened bottle of wine was slightly leaking. Does this mean it is no longer drinkable? It's been sitting around for a long time, but a good tasting desert wine. Do I toss it? Yes, I realize there are more pressing issues here, but am curious. Appreciate if someone knows the anwer. Thanks!

My father's wish

So sorry about your dad, but prostate cancer is very treatable these days, so I hope he and you can look for a positive prognosis. It is a shocker when this comes knocking at your door, causes on to contemplate their own mortality. Yes, your father wants the very best for you, and he has his own ideas what that is. You are feeling the worst kind of isolation, and it is good that you have reached out to others for support and consolation. Please keep us updated on his condition. My best thoughts are going out for you and him, and your mom.
