So 2013 has been a great year! A quick recap- I remembered how to mountain bike after so long. I ventured to Egypt and Majorca seeing some amazing sites. Had my first Camel ride experience which was fun. I also ran my first ever 10k, in a good time as well.  I managed to extend my teaching contact at the same school so shall be teaching there until at least next August. I adopted two beautiful kittens- Donal and  Orlaith who are just adorable. My oldest brother proposed to his Swedish girlfriend Anna. My best friend taught me how to ice skate in 45 minutes. I've enjoyed an amazing Christmas this year with family friends and look forward to next year.

Aims and plans for 2014

To keep up my running. I've just signed up to the Bupa Great Run in Edinburgh on the 27th April (10 miles) to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer.

I'm saving up to go to New York City. I plan to visit in October. So expensive though. So if anyone knows of any good places to stay that don't cost the earth I'm all ears.

My brother's wedding will be in July so shall be attending a lovely Swedish wedding and meeting Anna's family for the first time.

Hopefully I will be able to extend my teaching contract for another year or get a permanent position.

Maybe this will be the year I find my Mr Right...

Sarah :-)

Of course I can't understand how women like you don't already have someone, but at the same time I don't understand how I don't have anyone.  Although people are very kind to tell me exactly why I don't. LOL

Hi Sarah,

Just keep on doing what you're doing and, hopefully, Mr. Right will find you.  If not, it's his loss.

Thanks, yes shall see what happens.

Hi Krystal, yes Egypt is great. Want to return at some point when it is safer. The camel ride was so much fun. My camel was called Billy and he was great. Although at one stage on our walk he decided that he wanted to have a taste of some of the leaves on the tree. So he reached up lifting his two front feet, leaving me holding onto his back going "Billy, Nooo!" haha.  I've not been to Morrocco before. That is on my to do list as well. :-)

And good luck on that trip to NYC.  I wish I had some suggestions, but I do not.  I hope others come up with some good tips for you.

This is the age(Aquarian) for you to deeper explore your passion, and there may be a few. Sometimes you find a friend for life in your passions, and, maybe more.

Happy Hollidays: Miss Monte Carlo  :-)

Hi Sarah!

Happy Holidays to you and everyone!

I enjoyed reading your post. Egypt is on my bucket list of places to visit in my life time. My first camel ride experiance was back in 2003 in Marrakech Morocco and the beast tried to bite me on the leg! LOL!  As my friend put it as she was laughing " Blondie, it must think your sweet!"... we were all laughing about it! It was a great visit to Morocco and stories that will last a life time. Their is camel rides and a racing event each year where I live in a small town called Virgina City Nevada but I havent taken part in it. I'm more of a spectator.  :-)

I wish you the best on making it to NYC. It's a wonderful place to visit. Perhaps you will find a wonderful gentleman there who would be willing to play host to help you out.

Cheers,

Krystal
