So I completed my 10k run for cancer research on Sunday along with the hundreds of people who were there. It is such a special event as you get to hear people's stories and the progress research has made in helping people survive. I managed to complete my run in 1 hr and 7 minutes which was not too bad.

Thanks to all those who sponsored me or cheered me on.

Sarah :-)

I realize what you say is true, but I did a 10K when I was in high school and it was a killer.  I thought, no problem...I can do it. Old men passed me like I was standing still.  Very humbling.

With running anyone can do it. It just takes practice. when I started running a couple of years ago my first run was a mile and I almost died. lol I used to go running really early in the morning so that nobody could see me huffing and puffing. Then after about  a couple of months I was feeling more and more confident.. I did a 5k last year which after a year of running was easy. So decided to challenge myself this year with the 10k. So anyone can do it, it just takes practice. Great way to stay in shape too.

Thanks everyone. I was planning to run the Bupa 10k in October but I've just realised they've changed that date to  early July and I'm going to be away- Boo! There is a half marathon in September but honestly I'm not at that stage yet. So that may be a possibility for next year.

A 10K would kill me.  I'm impressed.
