For those millionaires out there, there is a great deal to be had on this large blue yacht in Palma, Majorca. I should of said it earlier when I had returned but slipped my mind. It may still be available. The yacht is worth 17 million (euros I think) but the person who owned it couldn't afford it and it was repossessed by the bank. The bank is selling it for around 2.5 million (euros). If you do buy it, you have to take me for a day out on the boat as that's only fair lol.

Ooo yeah thats a nice boat.  Yeah I heard fuel costs can be crazy. Bad enough the boat is expensive but then its costly to run.

I'd love to go on a sailing holiday too Liv, although think I'd need to try it for a day first as I'm not sure how sea worthy I am.

When I've been on cruises when the seas rocks. I turn green. Although I used to just take tablet which didn't really work.

However, when I was in South Africa we were on this boat in choppy seas and my tablets didn't work and gave the rest of them.

Then this guy had one wrist band and gave it to me and it may have been coincidence but I felt better after that. Now I have only been on one boat for a few hours where I put that on and was fine. It works on planes as I know when I don't where them I feel so ill. So think I'd need to trial a day out to see before booking a sailing holiday just incase I can't survive it.

I was looking into the cost to hire a boat and one price came up £1900 but I'm like is that per day or per week. Hoping its per week but knowing the cost of the boats its probably per day. So think I'll have to hire a rowing boat. hehe

Sarah, the boat in the picture charters for $45,000 per week fully crewed.  For me that's just stupid costly...but hey, if someone has the money to blow, nice way to blow it.

This is what interest me.  Why?  Because I'm crazy enough to buy the boat but to cheap to buy fuel.  A Catamaran has a much better ride than a mono hull.  The boat in the pic is over 30ft wide, so it's roomier than boats of a larger size.

DAK - When are we going to go sailing in your boat to that private island we were interested in buying, LOL?? I've started with my tease again, haven't I? But this time, I'm really serious. I'm dying to have a holiday or go sailing or something. I did lose interest in that particular island, though but I'm still interested in islands in general.

Wouldn't it be just nice if we all got together and sail in your boat to Barbados or somewhere DAK? Don't worry about fuel, I think we can all chip in, dear! Is your boat big enough for us all?

Liv.

I believe, I know how to get a brand new boat like this for free.  Seriously.  The sailing catamarans are so nice!  Maybe I'll get a boat like that if I win the lottery...which ain't going to happen because I don't play. :)

Wow love the island boat idea lol.

The boat looks sort of like this pic I've attached but its a lot larger than that one.

I think property prices vary depending on what part of the island you are on. In Camp de Mar there were some properties for sale. Not sure how big they were. They just looked like appartments and they were going for 350-400,000 euros. Some celebs had holiday homes on the hills which were approx 2 million. However, think there are more  affordable areas. I'd live in the north of the island where the mountains are but I'm sure the properties again were 300- 400,000 euros. Out of my price range.

Wouldn't happen to be a sailing yacht of the catamaran style?  Even if it is, I don't need to be interested.

Well, I'm not in the yacht market.  I was wondering about real estate values there.
