How to hunt organic goose:

Go to a park with a lake.  Take corn with you.  Feed the corn to the geese, along with with a sleeping pill mixed in.  Wait for a goose to fall asleep, put the unconscious goose in a pillowcase, and throw it in the trunk.

Quoting eric555:

sounds eazyer then going to the rice paddies and wateing for them during the season when it cold and wet with a heavy duty goose gun

Another place to hunt is in the flat open plains of the Midwest.

Once the corn is picked there is always corn left on the ground.  Wild migrating geese will land to eat it.

Trouble is there are so many corn fields that they don’t have to choose yours.  Also the fields are so big that even if they pick your field they may come in towards a place too far from you.  Maybe decoys would help.

Edge of the unpicked corn is the best blind.  If all the corn is picked no place to hide.

Lying flat on the ground seems to work, but then again it is already cold and that is colder.  Have to get up to shoot and that scares them.

Have done it.  Did not get a goose.  Perhaps did not let them get in close enough. Used an ordinary 12 gauge.

Maybe if I dressed in a goose costume I could just walk up to one and grab it.

Hi Eric,

Yeah,, I not a good shot either.

What about a goose mobile?  Hitch a hundred geese together...attach a buggy...

I guess I'll need more sleeping pills.

Hey, how are you a taking out geese?  Fluffy has been a problem.

Dak,  Picking on your Yorkie.  Oh my.  My mother used to have a few geese.  The gander decided to pick on me, and every time he saw me he would charge me, flapping and hissing and then bite me!  One day I was carrying an empty paint bucket when he did that.  I was startled and swung the bucket at him for all I was worth, nearly knocking his head off.  I was sorry to have been so rough with him.  I imagine he had a dreadful headache.  He never, never bothered me again.

Dak  Hey, maybe you're right.  I never thought of that.  Yes, yes.  Hire a bird hit man.  "I want you to take out Fluffy Two Wings.  He's bad for business."

Hi Dave

I don't think it matters once in a while.  This is an imaginary bird anyway.

Hi Liv,

Well, good question.  I've never tried this.

Here's my goose fantasy...  I have a goose.  Its head comes loose somehow.  I decide to dress it, by pulling out its feathers and removing its insides.  Uhm...outside.

At this point I'm in familiar territory.  I stuff the goose with prunes and roast it.  I saw this on a Julia Child video and tried it.  I didn't think stuffing it with prunes would taste good, but it did.  So did the goose.

And what do you do with the unconscious goose eventually?

Liv.
