I ordered bulbs to plant this fall.  I always go crazy when I do that and when all these bulbs arrive, it's hard to get them all planted.  Pink daffodils, yellow daffodils, really the best choice because deer don't eat them.  The deer ate all my tulips this year.  And yet I bought more tulips.  Pink ones, red ones.  And one that is red and white stripped and blooms in late spring.  There was also red and white stripped sorrel, so I bought that, too, but it blooms in the late summer.  It was so pretty!

Hi BePositive,

Yeah those foxes.  Ha ha.  Irish Spring?  That sounds doable.  Thanks.

I live next to a nature preserve with TONS of deer.  Many of the people (around here) hang Irish Spring soap from their bushes and trees and swear that it works. The deer know I have 3 dogs so they don't bother my plants too much.....all the pee and poop in my yard is a great deterent.   I have also heard sprinkling Fox urine around help but getting those fox to pee in a cup in really hard.....lol.  Good luck Babs!!!

I did not know that!  Where did you hear about that? Maybe if I put a Jack-in-the-box in the garden.

Hi Eric,

It's like trying to feed elephants!

true enuff they are picky grazers and like variety tough they aren't fond of hot pepper and some times are detured by amonia tough some deer get spooked by scents tough some times it's gona be deer will get in to what they want speeking of that perhapse thats why in some urban areas they offer special hunts for archers

Hi Eric,

When aren't deer hungry?  I told one of my neighbors that I had been feeding the deer.  "We all have," he said.  They go from one house to the next looking for their handout.  I guess the tulips seem like another handout.  Nice.  When's breakfast?
