To live chat or not to live chat! Posted on Aug 19, 2008 at 04:12 AM
I just thought id share my recent experiences in the terrifying "live chat" part of this website. After months of winks with no outcome, and being added as a favourite without any form of communication after! I finally came to the conclusion that i might not be putting myself out there enough (so to speak) and thought that i might have more chance of meeting my match by trying the instant messaging service here.......... How wrong i was!!!! Almost every conversation that i have engaged in has somehow always turned around to the subject of cybersex. Now i did say ALMOST every conversation, so dont get me wrong there were a couple of gentlemen that were very courtious, and i thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. However even though iv said on my profile that i am not interested in casual encounters, the sex talk just keeps on coming from the majority of these guys!!! Needless to say that when this does happen i go straight to blocking them. But iv got to admit that im starting to feel pretty deflated after these encounters, and am also starting to worry that maybe the man for me isnt here at all. So i guess what im looking for is a bit of advice. Should i give up entirely on the whole online dating scene? Or just stay away from the "live chat" area, remain patient, and believe that i'l find my match when i am meant to? I would seriously appreciate your feedback on this guys. :) P.s i have noticed that a few women here have also had the same problem, so any advice from you would be great.

Iv just finished reading the local paper and have been filled with a huge sense of patriotic pride. For not only have Great Britain managed to win 17 medals in 48 hours (4 gold) but we have also won a gymnastics medal....which is our first in 100 years! After all the unfortunate press that Britain has had recently due to crime and problems with the government, it is a welcome breath of fresh air to finally read an article that makes me feel incredibly proud to be British. **Watch out US....we're right behind you! ;)

Well after 18 months (on and off) of being a gold member on here, i have finally decided to give this blogging thing a try. I havent too much to say as of yet, but i thought best to at least say a short and sweet "hello everyone". And i look forward to typing more soon. **Watch this space** :)
