John O'Reilly hoisted his beer and said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life between the legs of me wife!"

That won him the top prize at the pub for the best toast of the night!

He went home and told his wife, Mary, "I won the prize for the Best toast of the night" She said, "Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?"

John said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside me wife." "Oh, that is very nice indeed, John!" Mary said.

The next day, Mary ran into one of John's drinking buddies on the street corner.

The man chuckled leeringly and said, "John won the prize the other night at the pub with a toast about you, Mary." She said, "Aye, he told me, and I was a bit surprised myself. You know, he's only been there twice in the last four years. Once he fell asleep, and the other time I had to pull him by the ears to make him come."

Quoting Livnlov:

That sounds great Fishy! I can't imagine breaking my back over a fish....I'd probably chicken out and let the fish win the tug-of-war contest, LOL!

Is July a good time to see the Northern lights in Alaska? I don't see myself being able to get away until after July 23rd when the kids' school breaks up for summer holiday in any case.

Speak to you about it later.

Liv.

OMG Liv, It's been more than 2 weeks that I've checked in.It has to be these summer hours of daylight and working from dawn to dusk. With today being the summer soltice we will start getting darker sooner for the next 6 months.

Right now,at 11pm on a cloudy night you need headlights to drive and at 2am you can turn them off.By mid July we will have lost around an hour or so.

When you think Northern Lights think -30/40 F for a good light show.Sometimes we'll get them in the fall on a clear night when it's not to cold down here but things are right up there.

If I don't want to winter fish I'd best get moving, this is our work season, the summer months, until the end of September.Put things away and hope to be home by the end of October.

Hope your owie is better and will check in off and on.

Liv,We really do have fish here that are as tall as you so your back needs to be in good shape if you or the boys get ahold of one,I'll be laughing and filming to much to help.My plan is to be in Seward by mid July for my fishing.

There is a Hilton in Anchorage, about 100 miles North. The one at the Tsiu [sigh u] River fell off into the ocean a couple of years ago.I hired a bush plane to fly out and try to save it with a couple of friends one January but things were frozen in and the ocean got it during break up [spring thaw].Almost 40 years it was a land mark for our bush pilots flying in bad weather. We called it the Tsiu Hilton,a plywood cabin with a woodstove that kept the heat in and the brown bears out,far far away from anyone or anything.I can't find the picture but it is in my profile.

Also to put you mind at ease while you heal,I will have extra pillows on board for your NAAA :-]

Liv,I've got some owie pills that I seldom use but do kick ass when needed if that would help you feel better.

July would be a great time for you to come up/over? right out of school as the rumor going around is we will have a whole week of summer this year in July.Your sons could catch fish as big or bigger than them and I might know a way or 200 on how to cook them. Also it would give me chance to see in person this NAAA [LMAO @ that Liv]

Liv Liv Liv Liv Liv,You are so Very Beautiful.I love your new pictures!!!Hope your doing well, hadn't seen you for awhile/knew you were busy.Salmon fishing season is upon us here,so for me,I should be home again no later than the end of October.

Lmao @ "had to pull him by the ears to make him come."If only she knew how that was going to be taken at the pub!

Fishy! Hi honeybunch!!

Thanks a lot for the compliment. Much appreciated. You are handsome yourself! And I always enjoy seeing your photographs in that freezing Alaska of yours! I have indeed been extremely busy. Amongst other commitments and courst sessions, I went back to Harvard University to study for a bit. Hopefully, I will complete the program in July. Unfortunately, as a result, a few things had to give - my day job as a Stockbroker, and MM blog of course.

I am back for a little bit, and hopefully will be able to contribute a little more on here. I have had to slow down a bit in the last week or so because I overstretched my body and had become quite unwell lately, so I'm just now recovering. I am an incurable workaholic, but I will try and take on less responsibilities!

Salmon fishing season, Fishy....you know what will make me really really happy? If I could come to Alaska one of these days and have a taste of your salmon [or any other fish for that matter], freshly cooked and prepared! Now, there is a huge difference in taste!

Ahhhh Fishy, I found the joke quite hilarious poor as well...poor Mary, if only she knew! LOL!!

Liv.

An Irish blonde's Brain at work

Three Irish girls, a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead, all work at the same office for a female boss who always goes home early.

"Hey, girls," says the brunette one day, "let's go home early tomorrow. She'll never know."

So the next day, they all leave right after the boss does. The brunette gets some extra gardening done, the redhead goes to a bar, and the blonde goes home to find her husband having sex with the female boss.

She quietly sneaks out of the house and vows to return home at her normal time the next day.

In the morning, the brunette says: "That was fun; we should do it again sometime."

"No way," says the blonde. "I almost got caught."

Aaahhhh Lulu...you are cracking me up, LOLOLOL!!!

She should have taught that tatty female boss a lesson she won't forget in a hurry and as for the cheating husband ...tsk....tsk....tsk! LOLOL!!!
