Looking at other people's blogs, I discovered that they were less blogs and more "we're just going to write things and hopefully people will talk to me." Not that I have any issue with that, but I think I'm going to stick to the more traditional method of blog writing. Somewhat of a stream-of-consciousness monologue diary, so to speak. I'll try to update once a week if not more, but we'll see how well that works out.

So here I am on the dating site, millionairematch.com. I am a young (19, soon to be 20) attractive college student with no terrible quirks and not promiscuous. How did I end up here? Well let's just start off by going through the basics...

I am self-reliant. I am putting myself through college with loans, grants, scholarships, and working part-time. It is difficult especially because I always believe I could be doing better. But it is rewarding because I know I am where I am because of me and only me. I get good grades easily considering how much I do (~26 units per quarter when full-time status is achieved at 12).

I do indeed have preferences. I'm not a I'll-just-date-anyone type of gal. But I am also very open to possibilities. I would say I'm most attracted to men in their mid-late twenties. Both physically and mentally. I feel I'm very on par with a lot of men who are in that range and connect better with them than men my own age. This is in general, of course. Because I do so much with my school and work and my art, I don't have the time or energy to spend looking for men and all that in the conventional ways. So I turned my attention to online dating: A place where you can be honest and upfront about what you're looking for without being rude about it or offending anyone or wasting anyone's time.

I guess the question then is, if I'm so stable and if I'm not interested in a superficial relationship- Why am I looking on millionairematch.com- A website designed to introduce someone to a wealthy person? Well it's a valid question. I'm not interested in dating someone for their money. I don't need the money. But having only been in two long(er) relationships prior to now, I know that while I'm not high maintenance, I enjoy the comfort that comes from having more than enough money to get by. Whether that means more adventurous dates or just being able to afford more free time or whatever-- Money is a luxury that gives you more than just material objects.

I'm also signed up for Jdate- And have actually purchased membership there, unlike this site. I just simply haven't decided whether this is the right place for me or not. I'm hoping that I find that it is.

I will update on my experiences and I go along. Hopefully they're either good or really, really amusing.

Much love,
Sabrina

Welcome LilyLolita/Sabrina,

You certainly sound like you've got a good plan to make a great life for yourself. I hope you're able to make all your dreams come true.  But if you're counting on finding "the one" on line, I tend to agree with Curious.

I have found that the best way to attract quality men is to be yourself 100% and be fully engaged in life doing the things that make your heart sing. It makes you magnetic to the world, and many wonderful opportunities will come your way including love.

Good luck and looking forward to your MM blog participation.................. BeWell

BeWell and wishing you only the best ! ..................;-D

Quoting Curious2078:

The best of luck to you, Sabrina.  If you make out well here, you'll be one of the few.  The best of MM for most of us here is the blogs.  Good for conversation and making a few friends, for sure.  For real-time romantic dates that lead to something real?  Not so much.  I hope you're the exception.

Welcome to the blogs Sabrina, but sadly Curious is right and I also do sincerely hope that you become the exception.

Liv.
