Hey, you Real Estate Buff's might be able to solve this problem of Location, Location, Location. It seems like the Chinese like the, "Field Of Dreams" view of urbanization. Seems, there's a 5 year gap from 1st phase build, and percieved urbanization. What plan would fill the city? Any ingenious answers? Those are money pits!

Supposedly the Three Gorges Dam has changed the shape of the earth around where it's located. It's enormous. 4 or 5 locks are used to get you up or down depending upon the depth of the Yangze River at the time. Each door on each lock is the size of a basketball court.

I went through it on a river boat cruise. There were 5 or 6 other boats and barges in the lock with us, all except for us, burning coal. I watched from an outside deck for about a 1/2 hour. My throat hurt for days after.

Here is a photo of a mock up of the dam...

There have been quakes....acceptable....poss. calculated...

Croce talked about Saigon, in talking about, "Operator".You get near the border , and you hear, SWISH SWISSSss...The chinese sweeping.....Japan Knows!

China is about to thin out their concentrated Metropolis's with these cities. The build beat goes forward.

Just one thing; Where are the fault lines located? This is turbulents on the crust-mantle presures, shifting weight. Still practical

The Chinese can build anything in 5 years. Just give millions of people millions of wheelbarrows and voila!!!

They actually tried this with monkeys.  It was thought if you had an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters they could reproduce all of the great works of Shakespeare....

..... they got close, "to be or not to be, that is the gortenplatz"

Well if your thinking about investing with Obama and Biden then perhaps the better route would be to just GO TO LAS VEGAS and have FUN spending it for your own pleasure! LOL!

Investing with Obama/Biden is like going to Las Vegas.

Take all of your money, go to the cashier and get as many rolls of quarters you can buy.  Go back to your room and start throwing the quarters in the toilet and flush them.  Continue to flush the quarters until you don't have any left.

Every once in a while the toilet will overflow and cough up some quarters... you'll feel like a winner.

Why do you think China's GDP has grown so fast and is now second only to the United States.  All of those "ghost" cities have been built by a Chinese government laser focused on GDP growth.

Sort of proves the point that governmental spending should not be included in GDP calculations.  Governments have no resources other than that which they tax or borrow from it's citizens.  Politicians may be all things to some people but if you had some money to invest would you give it to Bill Gates and Warren Buffett or Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Or maybe even Romney... lol
