It is significant that Beatlemania, and the British Invasion is being recognized with that 8:00 debut with Ed Sullivan Sunday, February 9, 1964. I watched it as a 1st grader, with not much impact on the playground at school the next day. Paul said he could not hear what he was playing, due to the screaming gals during that three weeks on Ed Sullivan. What about you?  This was an important time in Rock & Roll History.  Rock & Roll gained credability!

Oh yeah, I'll tell you something
I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

Oh, please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
and please, say to me

You'll let me hold your hand
Now let me hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

And when I touch you i feel happy, inside
It's such a feeling
That my love
I can't hide
I can't hide
I can't hide

Yeah you, got that something
I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

And when I touch you I feel happy, inside
It's such a feeling
That my love
I can't hide
I can't hide
I can't hide

Yeah you, got that something
I think you'll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your ha-a-a-a-a-a-and

Quoting Jenkneee:

Leonicvirgo typed;

" I listened..Very sad, but that ," While Weeping Atlas Cedar's" seems to be referring to the North African Nation's citizens, and Lebanon( Cedar's are sometimes referenced to people, cultures)."

Good observation!  Now I'm curious about what group he may have been singing about.  If I find out, I will let you know.

It seems,George referenced people being hampered by the illusions of life;causing them to expand according to that influence. Maya is illusion, or delusion, contriversy, witchcraft which leads to growth in strange directions; as the Weeping Atlas Cedar grows, Gen.

Never heard that one; recorded in 1970. Harrison was the quiet one;picking out the melody in all the Beatles's hits, till they parted in 1970. The 4 went to various private projects. Most can count a memory in time, or a concert in the Beatle timeline they attended. I listened..Very sad, but that ," While Weeping Atlas Cedar's" seems to be referring to the North African Nation's citizens, and Lebanon( Cedar's are sometimes referenced to people, cultures).

The beatles were young in 1964; their songs filled with , "Happy Air" , and, just what the R&R doctors needed for credability.   yuotu.be/Zicw_dVwhfM  Harrisons picking melody stands out.

"In My Life"

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

In my life I love you more

No offense but I would much rather listen to this song sung by George Harrison than the one you posted the lyrics of. The lyrics of Beware of Darkness, "Beware of greedy leaders. They take you where you should not go." is something I can relate to much more than "I wanna hold your hand."

"Beware Of Darkness"

Watch out now, take care
Beware of falling swingers
Dropping all around you
The pain that often mingles
In your fingertips
Beware of darkness

Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger
Winding up inside your head
The hopelessness around you
In the dead of night

Beware of sadness
It can hit you
It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for

Watch out now, take care
Beware of soft shoe shufflers
Dancing down the sidewalks
As each unconscious sufferer
Wanders aimlessly
Beware of Maya

Watch out now, take care
Beware of greedy leaders
They take you where you should not go
While Weeping Atlas Cedars
They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness (beware of darkness)
