India and South Africa are the hottest countries where I want to see my cmpany products grow. I therefore, planned a trip to South Africa to prospect the territory. Arriving the South African Embassy for a visa they looked at me and gave me just one of two conditions to fulfill.

"We are not responsible for your safety while in South Africa unless you fulfill one of these two conditions. 1. You either higher body guards during your stay in SA or you shave your hair before you seat your butt there.

I looked at him and said "Here we go again…" Before I finished my phrase he knew where I was going and he interrupted. "Sir if you do not shave your hair thieves in South Africa will do it for you doI make my self clear" and I ask: What for, are they now tired of stealing money? What are they going to do with my hair?" "Sell it sir" he shouted in disbeliev. My mouth was shut.

One more negative feather added onto the alread existing stereotypes on dread.

Quoting Justsimplicity:

I am kidding above... But on a serious note having long dread locks in south Africa and walking around unprotected is a rising problem. But then keeping clean and healthy long dreads is a lot of money and time consuming.

If you can't afford the money and a decade of hard work and waiting just steal it!

Just steal it? LOLOL!!!! Sounds like a good plan for the lazy but dread-loving folks who don't want to put in the time, money and effort. LOL.

MM Allowed your link to be posted and they deleted my link - What's up with this selective treatment MM? I'm so not keeping silent about this :-).

Still don't get why they would want to sell your dreads. Good story tho.

I have never heard of this before:  stealing hair to sell.  What did you decide to do?
