Quoting rmac22:

One person’s color is another person’s poison.

I am not likely to do it though.  Way to much work.

I do think my bloggings did poison one potential relationship way back when.

Hard to know when the person quits communicating with you.

Hey lady what did I do?   Silence!  : - )

RMac

If silence was the answer you got--then she did you a favor Rmac.  You have lost nothing.  If your blogging poisoned any potential relationship, then that relationship was doomed from the start.  If you have to hide who you are to entice a potential date, then that potential date is best condemed to the scrap heap for sure.

Be yourself, my friend, as you've always been on the blogs.  You can't do any better than that.  In fact, being yourself on the blogs is the best that you--or any of us--can ever do on here.  If folks don't like we have to say, it's good to know that from the outset.

An awful lot of people, it seems, don't like what I have to say.  But--I say it anyway.  And I have fun doing it.

While waiting for your "perfect mate" to show up, there is no reason on God's green earth to ever try to hide who you are.  And you never know:  someone might join up here who falls in love with your blogs.  It could happen.  Probably it won't, but it could happen.

Just go on being who you are, Rmac. All of us regulars on here love you and and your comments.  If you get nothing out of this site, you've got that:  You are one of our champion bloggers for sure.

Quoting Dakota35:

Yes, it was you.  The way I see it;  I think you are correct about the things that cause you to bite...keep on biting...you've earned it. :)

Once again, Dakota, I must agree with you.  I have EARNED IT.  I remember when I was young, younger, often reflecting on how "old" folks could get away with saying exactly what was on their minds--and I looked forward to a time when I could get away with the same thing.  Not that I wanted to get old, but I was so incredibly insecure when I was younger, that I usually stayed away from confrontations or even simple disagreement unless I could find a way to be thoroughly diplomatic.  And I more or less assumed that when I got "old," I'd have the confidence to say what I wanted to with no punches pulled.

Thank God those days are gone.  I no longer have the patience for diplomacy--except sometimes, and those sometimes would take me far too long to extrapolate on.  Actually, I guess it depends on whether or not I think my being diplomatic could have the effect I would like it to have.

This reminds me of a conversation I had over the phone today with one of our potential customers for a river trip on the Delaware.  She wanted to go tubing.  I apologized, we don't have tubes.  Just rafts, canoes and ride-on-top-of kayaks--very, very stable kayaks.

Then she asked when our trips leave--could she come at 10am or so.  No, I said, our trips leave here at 9, 11, 1, 3.  She went on for a good minute or two about how she wanted to go at 12 or 2.  I was patient--honestly I was.  Once I made it clear to her that we could not accommodate her at the "odd" hours, she resigned herself to choosing one of the 4 leave times we offer.

Then she asked again about the rafts and canoes and kayaks, prices, etc., I explained graciously.  The full explanation took a good 5 minutes,--never mind that I was RE-explaining what I'd already explained to her--because her questions were so inanely detailed.  Then she asked me what the tubes cost.  HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Ma'am, we don't have tubes.  No tubes.

"You don't have tubes?"

"No, ma'am, we don't have tubes.

"Well, can I get a raft for 4 at noon tomorrow?

"No, ma'am, you can't.  Our trips leave at 9, 11, 1 and 3.   I suggest you call another livery if you want to go at noon.

"Who should I call."

"I have no idea, Ma'am.  I don't know what the other liveries offer."

"Why not?  I really want to go tubing at around noontime."

Now, I have a fair idea which liveries around here have tubes, although I have no ideas what their leave/launch times are.  So I told her I had no idea, she'd just have to call around.  And at this point I was so sick of dealing with her, I did NOT tell her the names of the other liveries.  I just wished her good luck and hung up.

When I told the boss about the conversation he laughed his a** off and said: "GOOD!"  She was one of those people who would be more trouble than she'd ever be worth.  BTW, the boss is "old" too.

ROFLMAO

Another one:  Very funny:

"Can I go canoeing on the Lackawaxen tomorrow?"

"Sir, we never put canoes on the Lackawaxen.  It's far too shallow even with a full boating release to be safe for canoes."

"Look, I've gone canoeing with you guys on the Lackawaxen a million times.  I just want to know if there's going to be a release [from the damn up at Lake Wallenpaupack] tomorrow."

"Sir, you've never gone canoeing with us on the Lackawaxen because we do NOT put canoes on the Lackawaxen.  We only put rafts and kayaks on the Lackawaxen."

"That's BS.  I've gone canoeing on the Lackawaxen with you guys a million times."

"No, sir, you haven't gone with us in a canoe."

"Okay, okay.  Just tell me if there's going to be a release tomorrow."

"As a matter of fact, there is guaranteed boating release tomorrow.  But we will only put on rafts and kayaks."

"Why the hell can't I get a canoe?"

"Because there's too many shallow spots where canoes can get hung up on the rocks and the rocks punch holes in the bottoms of the canoes."

"Look, lady, I've been canoeing for 25 years.  I know how to maneuver a canoe to avoid hitting any rocks.  I want a canoe."

"I'm sorry, sir, we can't accomodate you."

"Why not?"

I THEN HUNG UP.

ROFLMAO

If so [there are a a number of users with the name Curious in their usernames, so I can't be sure], you are correct, I can bite and I will if bitten first.  Why?  Because at my age I see and feel no reason to "lie back and take it" from anyone.  Those days are, thankfully, long gone.  But, I see no reason to ever bite you.  You, my friend, are a treasure on here.

As for the rest of your remarks about me, thank you very much.  "Wonderful lady" is quite a compliment.

Hello, Justsimplicity.  I'm glad you got the message. So often blog hogs just get offended.

So far, your blogs are a lot of fun, so I hope you keep on blogging.  And I must say, I love your original post in this one!

Revenge is very often very good.  But only when it's absolutely worth the effort because seeking revenge always moves us backwards a bit in order to plot it, and seldom do we want to move backwards.

Anyway, I found the post very funny.  Thanks for it.

Hope you enjoy your time on here and that you find what you're looking for.

RMac, I don't think it's a bad idea.  Of course those old blogs kind of puts a identity to each of us.  So if someone wanted to know the type of person we are and what we believe, they could use the blogs for research.  Which could be both good and bad depending on what info someone was seeking.  I don't regret anything I've written.  The blogs tell far more about a person than any profile.  Most of the people on these blogs are real, unlike many of the profiles on this site and other dating sites.

Glad you understood the premise behind it JS!!

We've had a couple of joke blogs in the past; they did not stay long. BUT, I feel this was more due to the OP (Original Poster) not keeping up with it.

IF THIS WERE MY QUEST:

I would create a FUN title and make sure the word JOKE or HUMOUR, is in your title, so the blog attracts people seeking FUNNY.

I would post my jokes all at the same time for that day. (In other words, not post 3 separate jokes 3 times a day on the same blog just to keep pulling it to the top.)

I would not be offended if people didn't respond. For me, my response to jokes is usually a click on the THUMBS UP!

WE NEED A GIGGLE BUTTON MM!!

My apologies most of us get frustrated with issues that seem so trivial as this. I normally try to write the person privately, but I can only seek private communication if I am a paid member, or they have contacted me first. I recall writing a woman privately a while back who had posted several blogs on the same day several days in a row. 3/4 of the first page had her name attached to all the blogs! I informed her of the etiquette, much in the same manner I told you and although she thanked me, she didn't heed my warning about how it works. She has been long gone and I feel this experience was quite possibly a "not so good one" for her. That makes me sad, as I feel we ALL have something worthy to contribute.

I enjoy humour and laughter is good for my soul. I can also find humour in things many might find offensive, so I know all too well how it feels to offend "unintentionally." YOU AND I MUST BE PROS!! ;)

Have a great day! And I'm glad you now have a better understanding of how it works. I feel we need more contributors here, so I'm only for running away the meanies! And you will find, none of us regs here are truly "meanies." In a Princess World, we all ROCK!! ;)

Who knows? Perhaps in two years it will be YOU who tells a "newbie,"

"Hey, siop hogging the blogs! Guess what happened when I first came to the room!" And then everyone can get a good laugh out of it!  ;)

Best wishes dear!

~Hoping~

WO! WO! WO! WO! WO!----

OKAY PEOPLE!! LISTEN UP.. "Da Princess has de floor!!"

Now where's my mega phone and my tiara? *Scooby Snickers...

Look everyone,

We MUST take these things on a CASE BY CASE basis...

I realise many feel new bloggers should just "know" the proper etiquette; but fact remians, often times, they don't. Hell, often times old bloggers don't understand social skills enough to "get it!"

BUT YOU CAN'T GET UPSET WHEN YOU HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THE ISSUE BEFORE WITH THAT PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL...

IF, AFTER the issue is addressed, they pay no mind......

THAT----- is the "appropriate" time to get upset.

JUSTSIMPLICITY---

I posted earlier on a blog of yours, as we do have a certain "etiquette" here on the blogs...

When you post BLOG AFTER BLOG AFTER BLOG... it bogs (hogs) the blogs down...

As I and others mentioned on another joke blog you posted, we recommend you make a "JOKE BLOG" ----

Then, when you have just a joke to share, go to THAT SAME "joke blog" and ADD IT!

This brings your "joke blog" back to the top, as most of us view blogs by RECENT POST, and we can then read your joke.

The even better part of this? When you post your jokes, I see some might be questioning if you are joking or not.... If all jokes are posted on the same JOKE blog, there will be no question... IT'S A JOKE!! ;)

I for one understood the 1-5 GIVE HER $$$... I thought it was cute... But let's face it people!!!!!!

I have more humour than most of you!! Bwahahahaha....  (OKay, So I have to... I was cheated on brains!!!! THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!)

So cut the newbie some slack here and let's COMMUNICATE nicely...

JUSTSIM---

I can see you are all about "love and peace and kindness." Heck, I feel like I am watching Bob Marley reincarnated..... so I do not feel you have posted multiple blogs to offend anyone or be rude. I just think you are lacking in some "online blog etiquette."

Consider yourself now schooled. I'm sorry some of our teachers are crafty with the rulers!!  ;)

Try the joke blog--- That would be something nice to contribute here, it won't bog the blogs down, and it leaves you with some space to write about your more serious matters.

3, maybe 4 BLOGS a week is enough... FOR ANYONE to post!!!!

If you post more blogs than 3 or 4 blogs a week, people get upset...

RMAC- I agree with DAKOTA.... I like being able to go back and review old blogs... No need to delete them. I also enjoy seeing how people have changed, etc... I recall when I thought every "date" or "meet and greet" had to be some nice dinner. But "listening" to the men and their woes taught me well. I've grown from that experience and have a better understanding of what men go through. Dating is not easy for any of us. I appreciate what I learned through that blogging experience... and I like being able to see a timeline in my development.

What I don't understand? When someone pulls one up that is years old out of the blue.. The FORUM is incredible with that! But those never last staying at the top here in "real BLOG land" anyway. I posted on one the other day here that was pulled up from years ago, but I thought the new post was humorous and held some merit.

WHY? Well, in case no one was listening earlier to my babble...

I'm more humorous than most of you! ;)

Now put your rulers away!! And let's get back to playing in the sandbox, but not throwing dirt!

Roger dat?

You are right, everything comes and goes yet nothing stays. That is the beauty of life; nobody owns anything and nothing is guaranteed forever so enjoy it while it lasts... Things only disappear if they do not have producers and consumers... I beg you broda just do not get angry because that is slow suicide.

NB: My blog is simply for jokes and to decompress pressure. I am not here to make anyone uncomfortable. You will never see me speak disrespecfully to anyone anywhere. Please if you happen to know me at a personal level and you see anything negative about me you are free to tell it here.

I am one of the few in this life who seriously respects every life. Please do not accuse anyone of anything you do not have good hands on. Everyone here can represent various personalities. Mine is joking and being srious on serious issues that affect all of us at the same time.  It is also okay if everyone does not see things the same way, but rest assured many people are anjoing this that is why the following is rising.

But I want to let you know I care about you and every other life.

Me, I see another blog hog has invaded us--I'm outa here for another few weeks until he disappears.  As I'm sure he will in time.  Blog hogs never survive, do they, Dakota?  They may think they have "cornered the market," but they always fall away in the end, don't they?

Usually, it's because what they have to say is pretty much BS.  Garners a few interested parties in the beginning, but after that, well, like I said, they usually "fall away" due to lack of interest on the part of the rest of us.

Why Brittany isn't on top of this, I don't know.  But, I for one, am tired of bothering complaining.

I'm just outta here for a while.
