I think the last line of the original post, "You did not hear this from me," makes it pretty clear that this was a joke.

I certainly saw it as such and LMAO.  I think maybe his serious-minded looking profile pic is what is making many of you think he was dead serious.

I could be wrong...  I hope he'll chime in to let us know.

Greetings Just~

I've been on vacation for the last 10 days, but have come back to see the games are still on!  I hope you will take all comments with a grain of salt and not get discouraged.  Some of us oldtimers have been hanging around here in excess of 2 years and have developed relationships based on many, many hours of blogging.  While some may take exception to this....the blogs can be kind of like the land of the misfit toys.  *wink*

But if you enjoy contact sports....please...come join in!  We need new blood to bring ideas and experiences for us to banter over.  This is also a wonderful forum for you to hone your communication skills.

I have not read a lot of your posts...but I did not immediately get the impression of you as bitter toward the female gender.  Perhaps...I don't know.  But if so, I encourage you to perhaps use this venue to explore your feelings with us and hopefully gain healing.  While it may seem at times we oldtimers eat our young....we can also be a very supportive and wise group.

Now!  As for the money.....I wish we had taken the path to discuss this subject as to how it affects male/female attitudes and relationships.  For such a capitalistic society....it seems puzzling to me that men have such a weird attitude toward women that want and need money.  Some men seem to act like it is such a dirty thing....yet they want money too!

~D

AKA:  One of the misfit toys     *wink*

Hi JUSTSMPLICITY--- (and ALL)

I personally, took this as a joke... I was going to post...

SHOW ME THE MONEY!! Bwaahahahaha!!

On another note:

JUSTSIMPLICITY---

I am going to share with you what we refer here as "Blog Etiquette." It is not meant to be taken in a critical or hateful manner, so please do not misunderstand the intent behind my words.

You are a new blogger here and I have enjoyed some of your jokes, as well as enjoy everyone sharing ideas and collecting thoughts on a more personal level like your more personal view blog.

We do not CREATE blogs several times a day, or even every day. It is considered rude and we call it "blog hogging." It will not take long before the first page is riddled with your blogs if you continue. When this happens, readers will contact MM and complain, as this does not meet the standards of our blogging here. Other blogs will get "lost" being buried in all your new blogs.

I recommend you make ONE blog, as BE+ recommended, maybe like "JUSTSIMPLICITIES JOKE and JINGLES!!!"

Then you can ADD TO IT as the jokes come. When you add to the blog, it pulls the blog BACK to the top when we view blogs by "LAST POSTED."

This will enable you to continue sharing some funny jokes, etc... but not be known as a "Blog Hog."

We deal with this from time to time and most people are run off the blogs because they are being rude... I realise you do not know the "etiquette" around here, so I felt addressing this and explaining the WHY's might help. I do not like seeing people leave, nor do I care for opening MM in the morning and seeing one persons name all over the front page.

NEWBIES: THREE (Maybe 4?) NEW BLOGS A WEEK is sufficient... More than that, and the regulars on here who keep these blogs alive by adding and commenting on the blogs, will become frustrated, start making public comments about how rude the "Blog Hog" is being, and MM will contact you about receiving complaints about your lack of blog etiquette.

That's how it works best around here.

I hope this information assist you JUST. I personally enjoy many of your jokes, so it would be nice to have ONE BLOG by you that only contains your jokes. This leaves you other areas for your more personal blogging.

Give it a cute, catchy name and we will look for it. As long as you add content, it will remain on the front page under LAST POSTED.

Hope this helps! ;)

I agree, Speed, author does appear to be bitter with the female gender......not just on this blog but on others that have been posted.  Instead of posting soooooo many blogs (everyday) perhaps the author can start his own Forum and add a different topic daily (just a suggestion JustSimpl).

As far as the really old blogs go.......I think the ones that have not had a response, for over a year, should be removed by the site.  Why take up all the space??

Have a great week everyone!!!!

Yes, it did not work... This is a joke not all women love money. But that is the general perception.

You being a computer guy, I'm not telling you anything you don't know.  Put a little smiley face, LOL, or a disclaimer after your jokes.  Sometimes our emotions are not transferred well through type...thus we have emoticons.

"You didn't hear this from me" :-)

Hey Jen and Liv, I think it was a joke???  I hope it was a joke???  I thought it was, so I just laughed and didn't take it serious.

If he wasn't joking, then for some women there maybe truth to it, but they sure are not quality women.  Not the kind I would want.

It seems you are right on all fronts, Dakota. I tend to type in general terms cuz I'm not a fan of a lot of typing but yes, there are lots of people out there giving both genders a bad rep.

If I don't know the poster's personality from previous posts I tend to think they're more serious unless I see an "Lol" or something similar. I can take a joke, I just need to know it IS a joke :)

Who didn't know this thread would float like a lead balloon? My goodness. The author appears very bitter at the female gender.

Women may want a lot of things, financial security being one of them, but so do males want many things. As to finance, traditionally males are the hunter gatherers this should surprise no one. Is true in modern days this belief is changing, as evidence the cougar craze, but for most, men are more comfortable as the provider and women as the providee/contributor. As a traditionalist myself, or chauvinist, depending on persepective, I know I prefer the role of provider. Not buying affection, living the role I'm most comfortable with. For instance I find great joy in gifts of jewelry when appropriate. The glow of a woman when given is quite cool. That doesn't mean I'd not date a woman of wealth, but generally has not been the case.

I find it sad that is the way you, your friends and enemies feel since you think for all of them. Money is not the solution for happiness...ever. It can make you worry less though, which can possibly help lead to finding happiness but in itself, no, money does not buy anyone's happiness.

I do have to add that GIVING it to someone less fortunite can make YOU happy.
