Healey, I agree with most of your points. I wonder how many of us will be able to say "you are everything I've ever dreamed of". More than likely many of us will be surprised to see and feel that chemistry , with someone we never dreamed of, but somehow they expand our definition of beauty. Sure we all have a vision of our ideal, maybe some even have laundry lists of expectations or desires, some written in stone, others sand. I cant be certain that I will recognize what ingredients will create the special recipe either, certainly some are essential, but I'm looking forward to whipping up and tasting something magically delicious before the bonfire turns to burning embers. Thank you Queen and Healey for responding to my musings...

I agree with you Purr. This was one of those blogs that we always remember.... From Purrectly Normal "Why is it that most of us yearn for love, but this ordinary and extraordinary experience is so fleeting or elusive for so many, sensi??" We all yearn for that love. No question about this. However, most of us here have lived life outside of the box of normal. We do not need, or want to settle for anyone that does not fit into our realitys. As a result, we look at many. With luck, because we know it will happen, we will meet the one who will inspire us, as we inspire them, into the love that we feel in our hearts and souls. For the highest good of all concerned. Sometimes this search takes a little longer, but the results.... Are worth the wait. May all our dreams of happiness and love come true... Sooner than we expect.

Dear healey, There is no need to overly analyze why someone hasn't find their prince or perhaps princess. It's like looking for the answer of why loved or un-loved. Life is more complicated in this modern world, we're more sophisticated and sensitive for what we want and more media/technology to search for. It does makes it convenience but didn't make it easier. p.

Hi Healy, I am single by choice until Mr Right for me comes along. I don't want to be in a relationship for all the wrong reasons.

I have it on good authority that a true prince is traveling on The Road of Bones towards Magadan. And I didnt even have to get the "eye of Newt" for the potion..... Never underestimate the power of the Solstice.

Re: healey67 write: Shadow I have to agree with you on the no teeth thing. But I think that some frogs lack teeth so I think you may have met a frog although perhaps a nice one. Healey

Definately a frog, but a local one which means I get to hang out a little bit. hmmm . . I need someone to go ice skating with....

I am not all that adverse to admitting this... despite being hit on often enough,,i have not accepted a single date all year. I realized that I was still in mourning and it wouldnt be right to become involved with a man when I didnt have aheart to give. NOW I AM feeling like the time is finally right and I am looking forward to going out A LOT next year ( with a man that is)

Princes: I'd settle for a Prince. Heck, I'd settle for something that I wouldn't be ashamed of being seen with. The last person I met via a dating site had an excellent personality. However, no teeth, overweight and working a job with a teenager wage just doesn't do it. I can't take that home! Not to mention . . . no chemistry. I think it has a lot to do with no teeth . . yuck. I would really like to meet someone who complements me. Distance is probably a huge factor. If I moved to CA, I'd probably be fine on the dating front, but I chose the slower lifestyle of the East Coast.

healey darling,,you will always be a Prince in my book. AS for frogs,,,they are declining worldwide at a very alarming rate. About the only frogs that are going WAY up in numbers are the dreaded cane toads ! and you dont want to pick up one of those puppies,,they are posionous ! So it betweeen cane toads and dead beats.,..wow,,what a choice. AS for what I want in a man...Alchem described it prety closely in a blog comment the other day,,so I sent him a kiss ! I want a man that respects my talents and is proud of what I am and do. Iw ant a man who is proud of himself and what he does. I like to travel adn I dont care too much if its first second, or fifth class,,,if I want to go to that place,,,i want to go ! I like a man who earns at least as much as I do and who has his life in some degree of order. At my age,,I dont want to babysit, or be a rescuer,,,or any of that stuff when do when we are young and foolish. I want a man who is kind and considerate to everyone,,,except those that merit disfavor,,and then I want him to be a stand up guy. I like confidence. I am confident. I want a man who cares enough about me to clean the car before a date,,to be well groomed, have the funds for the activities planned and be in a good mood. He should like to read and snuggle and think that spending sunday morning staying in bed for grown up fun is a nice idea. Im not going to become some guys maid or cook,,,either we do it together, hire it out,,or I live at my house and he lives at his ! Looks do matter to a certain degree but a good man becomes more hansome with time anyway. I also really enjoy a wicked sense of humor, and a very very big......brain. And but not least,,,im NOT into watching sports on TV and have zero aspirations of becoming a sports widow. Rubgy and hockey and polo I can enjoy now and then.

Well, I'm new here and I wish to God I could answer that question. Where are all the Princes? Well my daughters married two. I have a prince son (26) who is an engineer not married. I have a little 3 year old Prince, too young for gals. As for me, I want a King not a prince! Ha, ha!!!
