I don't know how other women feel when they see a man with a huge dog in their arms or another woman or a child, etc, I feel weird, do they mean I should be jealous of the dog and want to tug myself in his arms to replace the dog? Or that he already has his objects(subjects) of affection, where am I going to put myself in that picture? Would he need me after all?

Perhaps he's trying to say he loves affection? I can't think of a better answer. A dog can't replace a real companion who talks, laughs and enjoys life.

or he's using the dog to get Valentine Star votes from the ladies...

or he's using the dog to get your attention...

or he's... oh so many options to entertain...

but i like what Linglit said the best.

The question also applies to women who post several pictures of their pets saying, "if you like me you have to like my animals too".

Seems to me they have transferred their emotional needs to the animal.  I have had dogs but I never kissed them on the mouth or let it lick me on my mouth & face or sleep with me.

The people who say they rescue animals could help wounded servicemen or feed homeless humans & children rather than animals if they want to do good things for others.

When I meet a woman who lets her animals kiss & lick her face I see the last dog I ever had, he used to eat his own feces. The Vet said "some dogs just do it", "THEY ARE ANIMALS, THEY DONT KNOW ANY BETTER"!
