The Brain as you know is our Nerve Box that is responsible for all thoughts, feelings, desires, pain, happiness, moods, sensations, etc. and is " wired " via nerves to various parts of our body.
 
The feelings for physical " love " seems to appear when our bodies mature for reproduction and are brought on by hormone levels. Sometimes referred to as chemistry, that produce strong sexual desires .  Your thoughts to " reverse the biochemical " would be quite a major medical research project, that would be in essence, to reverse the role of Natural Hormones.
 
Spiritual Love on the other hand is not chemically driven and comes with wisdom from the mind and cultural values.  It is pure with no boundries, giving without conditions, accepting without questions.
 
It is important to recognize the difference between the two that really should go hand in hand for the strongest and lasting bonds in a healthy relationship.
