I went all sweet and honey while explaining to an old high school friend, of the type of a person i found romantic, when she gave me a cold face, and called it old fashion.
To her, a romantic person was non of the sweet words whisper or a candle light dinner type, but a person whom from her explanation, i would summerise as totally the opposite and full of his / her own ego.
What's your (or a friend) view? Got me curious...

Well, that's out of the clouds because i can't disagree with any kind of massage... Heavenly feeling. Partly disappointed you didn't kick my protection off.

Makes me wonder how many species exist. I might as well go 'googling' for more information.

Quoting Dorry... "Hey, I just learnt something new about snails too. Thank you for sharing!"
That doesn't hold true for all snails...most don't carry their eggs inside their shells...they glue them to whatever is available in their environment.

I agree, the little things people do for their mate, aware or not and regardless to their style, can be a great deal to the other and worth a memory. Sounds Lovely.

To me, romance is that illusive gesture that touches my heart and makes my soul sing. I'm sure your answers will probably vary greatly from person to person. For me, it's the unexpected little things my partner does that wouldn't be special to anyone but me. I can think of two that stand out, even today, as the most romantic gestures of my life. There have been so many, but the ones I remember the most were the small things. Flowers and romantic dinners are nice, but they don't compare to the little thoughtful things a person does for you because they appreciate who and what you are.
One was maybe five years or so into my marriage. We were fishing not far from our home and, as usual, I was driving my husband crazy because I'd lay my pole on the ground and disappear looking for 'critters', as he called them. When we got home, he presented me with the most beautiful mystery snail you can imagine. She was huge, and after quarantining her for a week and feeding her good food to clean out her system, she went in one of my tanks and presented me with 23 gorgeous babies. (They carry the eggs inside their shells so it appears they give live birth.)They, and their offspring cleaned my tanks for many years.
Another time, years later, I was in the milk room cleaning equipment after morning milking. My husband was out working on the haybine, came in, presented me with one single, perfect, Dutch clover flower he had found on the top of the machine...gave me a long, passionate kiss, and headed down to the field to start cutting hay.
