What do you think it is that Obama has not been impeached? Does the majority still believe in him or do US citizens think he is doing good for the country?  How has he gotten away with all of the vacations he takes with his family?

How has he gotten away with 'bama care?

Here is the problem with all of these too many wealthy people, the wealthy are getting richer,  arguments.

If money is invested, not being spent, it is not "income"..and thus not taxable.  However the companies that the money is invested in are taxed if they make a profit.

Money invested is helping provide jobs, even if it is invested in savings or bonds.. The money is lent out to others or to cities, etc, usually times 10, since a bank can actually lend more money than they have on deposit by borrowing from the Federal Reserve. .

It's true, you can't take it with you.  A lot of the investment money goes into foundations when the wealthy die, which is then used for the good of all.  Maybe it is good that people who know how to make money , build companies, start ups, etc. have a lot of money to play with. They are doing good things.

Most really rich people do not spend a lot of money on themselves. Some work in their companies for a dollar per year. A prime example of a low spender is Warren Buffett..

The really absurd salaries are paid to sport figures, coaches, etc.  Did you know that the highest paid civil servants in most states are coaches.. by far..in something like 48 states.  A $3 to $5 million per year is common for a coach.  A CEO that is making that much has thousands or hundreds of thousands of people working for them.  How many people does a basketball player employ, supervise, etc.   I don't knock the CEO's but I do knock the thousands of entertainment types pulling in millions or hundreds of millions.

If you want to makes things better, put a salary limit on entertainers, coaches, and ball players..  The CEO's are needed a hell of a lot more.   Look up the highest paid people in the US.. You need to know what they do and then you will forget all about the CEO's.

Quoting wwww12345:

It is absurd to think the corporations of america are getting rich. Do people have any idea who owns those corporations?.. That's right, pension funds, college endowments, Joe on the street trying to save and put away money for his retirement.  Thank god we have a few left that are not losing money.  By the way Joe, get out of the market.  It will crash and you are going to lose your shirt.

I'm with you on most things WWWW but some corporations are getting rich...or at least their share price reflects it.  And not all corp. are public for sure.  And pension funds and college endowments do not own all the shares or controlling interest.  I believe the problem is that within the corporations, pension funds, college endowments there are individuals making a absurd amount for the work they produce.  I don't blame them for taking the money, I'm just saying.  And many Corporations push the wealth through via disbursement or dividends...which is good for the pension funds and college endowments, but it is also good for major individual shareholders.

I believe Don's whole point was to say that there is a huge divide between average "Joe" and the ultra wealthy, and that the divide is gowning.  I agree.

Everyone knows the markets will crash.  But maybe "Joe" should just get short the market if he can time FED tapering. :)

Yep, that was one of the things that myself and other Republicans had against Daddy Bush, his NWO BS.  At the time of his Presidency I had a family friend whose mother was good friends/neighbors (in Texas) with Barbara.  I probably could have arranged to tour the WhiteHouse and meet him.  But honestly, none of that stuff impresses me.  What impresses me is when a person decides to do good and be a righteous man.  That is a rarity.

Jen sorry to hear that your family and Detroit's problems were the fault of Obama rather than the thief of pensions ..corruption etc....again greed preceeds Obama's influences.

But like so many "opinions" of many.. both here and in the media, most are biased to support their own opinions rather than the facts. Rave on about the President...the Congress... or the corporate greed but research the subject from different views before the Rantings

OP;Uh Hello, lol, yeah...my "opinions" are based on factual history!!  Although some politicians are rewriting history or not telling it at all.  No need to go to CNN OR FOX. You cannot deny Obama's actions that we see. You can speculate on what we don't see with an unbiased attitude. Funny how you immediately jumped on me, claiming I referred to Obama about my Detroit woes. It took decades to ruin Detroit and more than one group did the damage.

Gotta go!! Too busy.

Don, I don't feel that Obama was or is responsible for Detroit's downfall, but at the same time, he has done nothing to improve the situation.  In fact I can give examples of things he has done to make it worse.  What we need is a President that understands economics and business, not a lawyer.  And I don't mean one of those warped economist that only know the economy from studying and/or teaching at a University.  There is a reason why lawyers carry the stereotype of being crooked and untrustworthy.  Remember Obama is a attorney...which says it all.  Give me a Ken Langone or even a Jack Welch as President.  Then you'll see a real change in our country.  Don't give me a egotistical bastard like Donald Trump as that type will not work.  When he first started yacking again, I thought he might have changed and I liked few things he said, but then that A-hole ego came out and I realized he was the same.  Obama is a joke and is doing horrible damage to this country.  The damage will only be repaired by suffering.  And it will not matter whether the next president is Rep., Dem., or Independent, the damage is done.  And Obama didn't start the damage, he just added tremendously to it.  A president needs to be a SOB but he needs to be a SOB loyal to the people of the USA, not the world.

So if Jenkneee is solely blaming Obama for Detroit, she is wrong (although I don't believe she is solely blaming Obama).  And if you believe this country is on the right course then I'll have to respectfully disagree with you.  I know you do not believe that.  Bush was condemned for not being friendlier with other countries, thus people blamed him for other countries hating us.  Obama is friendly with other countries, they still hate us and now have no respect for us.  America will always be hated as long as we are at the top.  I'd rather be hated and feared than hated and not feared.  Fear keeps the enemy in check.

Oh no, you didn't!!  Hell no, it is NOT my fault, nor is it the fault of my parents so rule me out of your statement. We saw it coming in Detroit, White Flight happened, the lucky ones escaped. We were left, holding down the fort, yes, that is exactly what I did. If my family left to go out for the night, I was there to hold down the fort. Less chance of getting the house broken into that way.

Some people can leave a city, do we get to leave a country?  I saw a lot of it coming and it all affected me in a very negative way.   The greed of OTHERS has made me lose a better and safe neighborhood, lose my hard earned and saved money, my equity in my house I no longer have,etc.,etc.. The greed of others coupled with personal betrayals are hard to deal with, As a whole country, most of us will suffer the consequences, the Middle Class especially.

The greed and control by people with an evil agenda creates sickness (cancer, etc.), the loss of our freedom, the loss of what was once a great country.  There can be small wins though, look at what states are doing the right thing vs. the wrong thing. Ohio just ruled out being able to vote for a third party. California just became the 3rd state to nullify part of the NDAA EO that states US citizens can be indefinitely detained without charges or a trial.  I would love for Texas to secede from the US, probably not going to happen but if they did, I would know where I'm moving!!

This blog is not hardly the place to get into the facts of what is happening, too much time & effort for it but I will give one example out of the hundreds that our socialist president has committed. He should be impeached!!

Jenkneee, what Texas would do first is to break up in 5 different states thus giving it more voting power.  I believe things would have to get really bad before Texas would try to succeed from the union.  If Texas did, then we'd probably be looking at another civil war as states would pick sides.  I guess I should get some cannons & muskets ready and store up some gun powder just in case. :-)

GREED!  That's the word that describes the root of America's problems.  And from that root grows a evil tree with many branches...And the tree just keep getting bigger, until it grows so big that it dies from starvation.

As we both know Dak. the inequity in America is vast to be sure. Seems there are many factors involved beyond my understanding.

What bothers me is that the big oil companies get tax reliefs and they are recording record profits ...as with many mega companies ...Walmart...Home Depot. These companies pay minimum wages and RAKE in the profits. For their comfort???power???certainly not their employees

On the other end there are many "Public assisted" folks that are encouraged to have babies and make thousands a month for thier "assistence.  The government encourages them to have families sans a father to enable them to be on welfare. Seeems at looking at the phenomenon it appears to have a devious base

All in all... Greed takes it's place universally and yes it's our fault because we didnt see it till it was too late

I'd be fine with it if I thought all that wealth was gained fairly.  The middle class is being destroyed.  I'd like to see the graphs based on President.  I'd be willing to bet money that under Obama the wealthy have gained more than under any other president.  Why do I say this?  Because all one has to do is look at the Financial markets.  They are at all time highs.  Why is this?  Because the Federal Reserve is printing money and buying bonds and MBS.  So who benefits the most?  The extremely wealthy.  The Federal Reserve policy is tied to the health of our government and the government is owned by the president.  And under Obama more people than ever are now receiving government assistance as in disability.  If they really need it then I'm fine with it, but I know without doubt that a huge number of people are receiving gov. help fraudulently.  So what does this mean.  These people are making less than if they had a job, which they are capable.  Thus, their income drops.  Working folks pay into the system to support these people.  Government prints money to support the markets.  Mom and Pop's savings are destroyed by the dilution of the dollar and low interest rates, leading to inflation.  All the while the guys at the top are laughing and looking at how much they've gained in the sky high financial markets and from borrowing money at almost zero interest.  And does anyone think it's going to get better.  Well those graphs tell the story.  Do you see a single year that things have reversed course.  Not likely.  The people will soon be completely controlled by the wealth or the world.  And it's our own darn fault.  This site will need to change its name to Billionairematch as soon a million will just be the low average.
