Dear Santa,

I don’t want much for Christmas, I just want the person reading this to be happy.

Friends are the fruit cake of life – some nutty, some soaked in alcohol, some sweet – but mix them together and they’re my friends!

Love ya.

Hope your renovation project went well, and you can now relax a little.  Soon it will be the holiday season, before we realize.  To avoid any last minute rush, I thought of the following letter, and would like to share it with you.  Enjoy....,

Santa's North Pole Office

Canada, HOH OHO.

Dear Mrs. Claus,

As you may be aware, I was one of Nick's favorite well behaved kids, over half a century ago.  Santa and Rudolph always brought me the nicest toys from afar.

I remember the yuletide night of blizzards, when Rudolph and I went to get some hot rum toddys, while Santa was off loading the sleigh.

While in the bar, we got into a tiff with some of Fishy's boys from Alaska. Rudy's nose got beat up pretty bad, and it has been Red ever since that night.

Santa being A Jolly Good Fellow, named him The Red Nosed Reindeer, to cover his drunken azz.

I wont bore you with the rest of the story, as I know you are busy Counseling The Newbie Kids, while Nick is busy chasing the big city broads... err...oops !... I meant toy shopping.

I promised Nick I would never tell you, but I just had another Freudian slip.  Can't help but think of broads every ten seconds, you know how that goes, don't you Mrs. Claus ?.

Now that I screwed up with Nick's shopping spree, I can't expect any toys from Him, but I know that you are a very sweet and ' generous ' lady.  Also nice that you have read every profile in the toy catalogue.

My Christmas wish is very simple, and only you Mrs. Claus, can find that special broad... err.. I meant toy.  Pardon, I keep hearing Freudian like voices all the time now, since peeking at the catalogue.

I shall make it easy for you Mrs. Claus.  Ever since my last birthday, when I failed to blow out all the candles with one huff,  I decided to quit hiking, biking, wining, dining, shopping, bunjee jumping, snorkeling, wind surfing, boating, bar hopping, tango dancing, mountain climbing, glow worm hunting, parachuting, skiing, go-karting, golfing, fly fishing, etc, etc.

Now, I just sit on the couch with Potato Chips.  Love those curvy, curly, salty ones with anchovies.  They remind me so much off.... err ! ... neeeeever mind.

Sometimes, I run out of potato chips, and it's such an effort to get a reload from the pantry.

All I wish for, this coming Christmas, is a soulmate who has more energy than me.

Keeping it simple, her age and height is of absolutely no consequence, we can always forgive that as a catalogue mis-print.  Can't we, Mrs. Claus ?.

It does not matter if her hair is natural or not, I have enough to make her a toupée,. That way, we can even be twin flame soulmates, with the same color of hair.

No problem if she loves to go shopping, wining, dining etc... you know that long list of girlie stuff by now,... we can send her off with Nick  That way when it's ladie's night, you can get caught up with all the gossip on Nick's escapade.

One important thing though, please make sure she does not have any bedroom canines. They even make Rudy nervous, whenever he comes by to quench his thirst, while pretending to be shopping for festive wines.

The priority for my soulmate is an easy one.  All I really need her for, is to refill the potato chip dish next to the couch.  It's okay if we don't have any chemistry, my hormones are all confused at the moment, especially after all the blogging and jogging crap.

It's also okay, if she does not want to have kids, or can't have kids, or does not ovulate at all.  That way, I will not have to run like hell, from fake menopausal attacks.

I am pretty sure the catalogue will help you find ' the one ' , who is unemotonial, highly evolved, does not care where we live, has no favorite designer brands, politically savvy, does not seek a real man, never needs any form of Counseling, or gives a damm about organic food, meditation, pilates, palm reading and so forth.

In other words, I would be delighted to have a robotic soulmate, with artificial intelligence.  This way, I know that ' she ' will be live on, in case The Donald pushes The Red Button, thinking it's only Rudy's nose full of boogers, that needs blowing.

Now that you Mrs. Claus have a fair idea of my wish, I feel confident that you will make this  " A Merry Christmas " , for all of us here on Fantasy Island, while we jingle our bells through another Silent Night....

....  Ho , Ho ,  Ho, .... Aaah yeah... yeah ... yeeeaaah !...

And A Happy New Year,  to all our friends and foes too.

**  S L  **

( Rudy, .... you need to sober up.  I don't want any excuses if you and Nick deliver her all wrinkled up.  It will not work this time. )

The fire is warm…crackling and popping with its gay winter’s song.  The champagne glass is cold beneath my fingertips as I sip another long draw.  My thoughts drift….back to a time…long ago.  What I wouldn’t do to be able to nuzzle his neck again….breathing in deeply of his scent.  What a sad, lonesome time….alone with memories.  I scream his name with every breath I take.  I hear nothing.  He’s gone….gone…gone.  Dreaming with a broken heart….is the hardest part of it all.  I don’t know when I’ll get over it!

Merry Christmas wishes to all and hoping yours is the best!

Hot chicks????? You might have been out to sea too long.  Check out kfc.com ... I heard they're having a Hillary special.

Lol roc, True story. Having not been to Homer for awhile in my younger days, we delivered our fish and cleaned the boat after that long cold spring trip. The crew [I was one] got all rummed up [as we did back then] and went bar hopping. Our cab passed a sign that said "Pick up chicks here". We all yelled stop only to find out that it was a new farm supply store selling fresh hatched chickens for the up comming summer.

Grown Up Christmas List

Various Artists

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies

Well, I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here's my lifelong wish
My grown up Christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely
Wrapped beneath our tree

Well heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
A hurting human soul

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth
(there'd be)

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, oh
This is my grown up Christmas list
This is my only life long wish
This is my grown up Christmas list

I'm sure RG is chasing her dreams; an Aries, you know, Diana...Oh, of course, you were speaking of another? Does Barb show up at times? It would be good to blog with her again. Those were the 2007 days here on the blogs. Thanx for keeping it real, and a MERRY CHRISTMAS, and greater accomplishments for 2014.

Now, where are those other Santa Season Warmers? Let's have a Chestnut Roast!

Hey Pat!

We've been missin' ya.  What's new up in the frozen tundra?  I heard you guys were going to get walluped again later this week.  I finally got the ice broken up and swept off my deck.  I am acutely distressed though, with all the fallen oak leaves that left brown stain marks all over it.  *sigh* I guess I'll be painting again next spring.  But there is one thing for sure....it will be painting weather here in Dallas long before it is up there!

Hope you stacked some wood.

Stay healthy and warm....and see if you can't find a some mountain man to invite in for a cup of hot chocolate.....or sumthin'.  Tis the season....ya know.  lololol *wink*

We used to have a little Elf that frequented this space, but doesn't come out to play too often anymore.  She was a favorite and we miss her a lot.
