Always on the attack, Roc! You fit the pattern of a psychopath. There are many on ascending levels of social order. Most are harmless. The few way up there are killingly dangerous. Most politicians herd with psychopathic types; trying to innundate the masses with the bully position, and trap society in a cage. This does not work in present society. Most of the people, in the past, accepted the mis-truths of propaganda, our Officials spewed on the Campaign Trail. Not this group(20's-45's). The veil continues to be lifted on problems debated with Candidates, yet, not acted upon thoroughly.

A new budget of around a half trillion dollars has been proposed for Defense, by the House Of Representatives. It goes to the Senate, now, to be scrutinized. Many more social programs will get the axe if this is passed. This, according to the Constitution, is how, WE THE PEOPLE, fund vital areas of AMERICAN SOCIETY, and outward displays of power, worldwide. It seems to be on critical life support, even before it is ambulated to the Senate. Budget's for over-running premiums on futuristic military aircrafts will be one hot topic.

I looked at a documentary of a main officer in charge of knowing every problem of every plane on the manufactoring line . A procurement team backs him up, to oversee the cost of each plane being assembled, overcharges due to manufactoring errors charged back to the American People,  real time delivery of aircraft according to original cost estimates, and proofs before delivery of each plane delivered to each branch of the military(Some differences in configuration's noted). These are 2 billion dollar planes. Someone should watch the light in the dome of the Capitol. It will burn bright for a while on this, and other balances to fair dispersement of funds, vitally important to keep America not only afloat, but  flying in the future!

More gobble-de-gook and totally unrelated to my post.  I could be wrong but I believe that a course in effective writing would be time well spent and might remedy your anti-social behavior.

I could be wrong but I also doubt sweetlyamazing's comment was directed towards you and your "not strange" post might be inappropriate.

Not Strange...Thanx,SweetlyAmazing...Like a Tea Blend..:-)LV1.............Keith Sykes

Hey, I'm not strange, I'm just like you
I like to do what normal people do
I comb my face and shave my hair
And keep a live chicken in my underwear

Chorus:
I'm not strange, I'm just like you
We're not strange, We're just like you
I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not strange

I'm not strange, I'm just like you
I've got the very same frustrations too
You should have seen me at the bar last night
I like 50 cents 'O'gettin' me just right

Chorus

I'm a real good guy, now that's no shit
'Bout half the time I'm full of it
I like to smoke and drink and have fun
Jump in the lake&see how far I can run

Chorus

I don't start anything that I can't end
You know I even got married to my girlfriend
In the morning I like bacon and eggs
And I've got balls nads between my legs

Actually an artificially low interest rate environment caused this. So the Fed had loose monetary policy with QE3 they purchased fixed income securities which keeps interest rates down. There's no way you can't have growth with virtually no interest rates. All in all it will be interesting to see what happens when QE3 comes to an end. It will be interesting to see where investors start looking for returns.

Well, The top of the structure is  suffering base restructuring, Every 70-80 years. Inflation feeds itself, in a 0 interest society.Should not, finance, be spent on infrastructure, and ail's of our society(Sync 50/25):-)LV1). Our people want to work! The rest like the liquid, cow patty smell!

There's no fool like an old fool.  When you mentioned you were a former Marine and in the securities business I pictured you in a cute little uniform wearing a gun, which I think, you would look fetching in.

Anyway, the Fed will continue to keep interest rates low for a year or so.  They don't want inflation to spike.  70% of GDP is consumer spending which has been flat this year, due in part to inclement weather.  The remainder is comprised of Fed spending and import/exports.  Inflation could have a negative effect on consumer spending and trade deficits.  I doubt the markets will have a banner year like last year but it's still the best place to park extra cash.

I'm in that position now, with one of my sis's. A 3 ring circus, still, and mounds of paperwork. I've gone through the talk circuit. Now; the problem verification circuit with paper. Some heads may roll with this one. I look at this as failure to push the right keys on their side. My feeling is money, or lack of it to a person's need. This usually makes more bureaucracy(SplchcrPlez). The hole is wide, deep, and has unstable ground. I'm speaking of the Adult Elderly, not VA; but, both have systemic problems.

Hmmmm…..yes, the JFK sentiment is really wonderful.  I have always believed that we are stronger together than we are apart.  Even our Founding Fathers believed this.  E pluribus unu’, meaning ‘Out of Many, One’.

My nursing management style has always been to gather the other nurses working under me, to create what I used to call the Clinical Management Team.  I never believed that I was the only one that had good ideas for how to approach a problem.  Plus, when I built a team consensus for a path forward….I got better buy-in and cooperation.

So that’s why I always believed our republic functioned better with a two party system and that my politics was ‘Middle of the Road’.  It was my nature.

However, since the moment the right wing conservatives looked into the face of Barrack Obama, they decided that they would try to destroy him.  Even to the point of meeting on the very evening of his inauguration, hatching a plan to obstruct everything and anything that he tried to do as the duly elected POTUS.   Instead of E pluribus unu…..it was “Just Say No”.  Why they even shut down the government and caused our credit rating to be downgraded!!!  The most unproductive Congress since Truman, their unpatriotic behavior has cost the American tax payers millions of dollars and scared the entire world with their brinkmanship.

Couple that with the insane and disgusting behavior of the Tea Party, The Birthers, The Truthers…..I have totally fled the middle……NEVER to pull the lever for a GOP candidate again.

@Leo, @Diana   Seems you both suffer from the same syndrome.  If you continue to look at the metrics through a lens that's distorted by your political bias you will invariable arrive at the wrong conclusion, and you often do.  Your inability to connect the dots is monumental.

The dysfunction in Washington is epic.  All politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often and for the same reason.  The common denominator is Obama.  Had Hillary prevailed I believe it would be quite different.

You praise Obama for reducing the deficit yet demonize those who effected the sequester ( that Obama said would never happen ) and the gov't shutdown which resulted in the smaller deficit.  You praise Clinton for the surpluses that occurred on his watch but don't credit Gingrich's Contract with America, the shutdown and Clinton's ability to work with a Republican Congress for any of it.

Think of Obamacare as Foie Gras, considered a delicacy by the French and other gourmands.  Now look at it from the bird's point of view.  Obama had a free pass for his first two years.  Geithner and Paulsen worked together and the stimulus and TARP stopped the bleeding.  Obama and Pelosi shoved Obamacare down the throats of a minority Congress.  The result was a Fed covered in goose sh*t.

America voted for this gridlock in 2010.  I don't know what the outcome this November will be.  I suspect the gridlock to continue.  It's called cause and effect.

Looking at the history aspect, the Dem's seem to bring in surplus's, while the Repub's pile debt. The world marches on, no matter. Military action is one of the denominators. I would never say that we should not have a strong defense; rather, war should be the last offensive move. I think this to be masculine-feminine viewpoints, with the gray area between. They would rather one see the damage done by adversarial actions. Wars with words are cold wars, but allow for fires of hope to an adversarial position. :-)LV1

Leo~

6 years ago our country was in a full blown economic collapse with the market in free fall somewhere around 6000 pts.  Today the Dow is pushing 17,000!!! Jobs are coming back, the housing market is coming back and the deficit is dropping faster than at any time since WWII.  Not only have wealthy investors made a TON of money under this president, but the baby boomers have seen their 401Ks made whole again and their main source of wealth, their homes, regain value.  It seems clear to me that the economy does better under Democrats.

However, the self-serving paranoid hysteria that used to be pointed at Obama has now been shifted to Hillary.  While every event that happened around the world used to be Obama's fault, it seems is now Hillary's fault.  It is quite obvious this is going to be another dirty, dirty, dirty election in 2016.

Rather than engaging in an examination of conscious to develop a positive political platform to make things better for our country, the Right has chosen to stay wallowed in the sewer of smears and conspiracies.  At first Hillary was faking her blood clot so she wouldn't have to testify on Benghazi.....now the suggestions being made is that she is "hiding" the fact she actually sustained brain damage.   Oooooweee...she hasn't even decided to run, but if she does, she will release her health records.  They have no ideas, only negativity.  They look backward rather than forward... yearning for the old American, with no belief in science or vision for leading us toward a modern, competitive America.

The Republican hero, Reagan, had Alzheimer's his entire second term but that didn't seem to be a problem.

I believe these baseless political smear tactics will backfire on them.  Young people and especially women are tired of this and find their tactics distasteful.

By the way, there is no credible evidence that correlates stock market performance or even GDP growth to the policies or practices of the incumbent party.

911 took how many? The Jews stayed home. The body counts in Dover... Coming home in caskets. Our precious youth. For What? Collateral Damage? A woman should aggress to the Presidency of this Country. That will put those sherkers of the responcability of real problemsolving on edge. Women outnumber men. Live with that!

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.

I agree with the JFK quote.  Then again it's the only thing I understood.

Everything is coming up roses.  The entire population is happy as a clam.  The economy grew at a robust rate of  one tenth of one percent in the first quarter.  Our debt is a paltry $17 Trillion.  China will become the global economic leader by 2020 and we'll be able to sit back and enjoy ourselves and revel in our past glory.

I predict a lanslide for the Dems in  2014 and 2016.  If yuou took adavanyage of that stock market growth I think you'll be able to take early retirement at 60 and enjoy the spoils of your labor.  I did during the Clinton years and retired at 53.   Yippee!!!!!  Go for it Diana.
