if you were serious, i would give an answer but this is just as lame as people who wanted to be wizards when they read "harry potter" or those who think they are vampires because of "twilight". just give it 2 months & all those thoughts will be gone....

HI CASSIE... Unfortunately, misunderstandings occur; not so frequently... BUT, due to the nature of not knowing others personalities and not being able to read inflection, etc.... Well, it does happen.. I DO recommend you check out MM blog called SCAMMERS.. as well as many blogs written on scammers, as this may grant you vast insight for your future with this type dating.. It astounds me to view how many pictures they post on the scmming blog, many of whom appear "normal people!"

With all the chatter of the book, (I even saw it on The View) ... I am considering picking it up and starting it, just to see what the fuss is all about... No clue as to what I may feel until I turn the pages...

WELCOME to the bogs TEXASNEURO.... What a beautiful story for you late wife and you to have shared! It definitely takes creativity to keep the sparks alive, along with the friendship and dedication! I have not read 50 Shades, but it does appear it will be over the top for my taste.. I will be checking it out to see... Not all Christians are as "liberal" as you appear sexually and may look down upon "sex in public places" as well as even "role playing"...  I've known such staunch bible thumpers who felt role playing was the same as cheating B/C it places the individuals out of their real element into a fantasy. I think that's ludicrous, but I am more like the "Wild Child Jesus Lover!" HaHa~~ I've even known some religious "freaks" who would chastize you for elevators, etc! I find the possibility of just maybe getting "caught" to be alluring... LOL.. I also find most men have something in their brain that makes "public places" a huge turn on.. more so even than women.. I do relaize too, that not everyone believes in the bible, so they live by a different code. I personally know what the bible says.. but, I am NOT waiting to get married until I have sex again! Many "Christians" throw stones... but it is my choice if and when I become active. I seriously do not know how people wait for marriage.

I think that is why intimacy is such a personal preference... and it is not the easiest task to find one who you completely mesh with on all levels. You and your late wife were very fortunate! I think even very few lasting marriages share what you had. I will remember your tips for my future should my Knight ever come slay all the dragons and whisk me away! Thanks for sharing a beautiful story! Gives me HOPE.. as well as encouragement to take things a bit slower when I do find someone I really enjoy being around! ;)

I loved the books, made me read them again! I do like Grey, and I am a little in love with him! I really am not sure if there is such a man out there like him! If there was the question is would I give up my life and freedom to be with a man like that? Yes the sex and wealth would be great, not sure of the "red room of pain" though
Maybe I will stick with Mr Darcy :)
Good luck finding him, you are a very pretty woman, so no doubt you will not be looking for long

Liv~
Lololol.....well...I seem to be a total failure at craddle snatching.  I saw Fishy around...maybe he can give me some advice on how I can improve on my bait.  *wink*

As far as V goes....I'm convinced he has a crack in his cranium.  And if he thinks we're gonna touch his riddle with a ten foot pole....he truly IS certifiable.  At the very least, he has a spanking coming from me over that viper thing!!!  I'm still puffed up over that!

OK Cassie - Was a little rude of me not to acknowledge or welcome you newbie to the blogs.

Alas - Welcome to the blogs Cassie.

Word of advice - Ignore Star Voyager - he likes to stir the pot and the blogs won't be the same without him! Curious will always tell you the truth the way it is - quite honestly and bluntly. I can see you have had an animated and spicy discussion with Hoping! She is great, very supportive never minding you two getting off on two left feet, lol! And the rest of us - we are really lovely!

Don't wanna hear that you chickened out and ran away, yeah? Stick around, build on your profile, enjoy and have fun!

Once again, welcome to the blogs! Who knows you might forget about that Grey guy and upgrade what you seek - who knows? [Me being cheeky - please do BDSM - can't even spell it right despite my private education, lol - if that's what makes you happy - but nahhhh, not for me, yuck].

Liv.

Quoting Orlando__:

The couple's relationship is centered around BDSM.  From the onset that is not healthy.  Christian Grey appears to really only get satisfaction from sex when it involves inflicting pain or dominance over his partner, which, following criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV-TR) used by mental health professionals to make diagnoses, could be considered a mental disorder called sexual sadism. Christian Grey appears to engage in sexual sadism only with consenting participants (like Anastasia Steele, the main female character), but he openly admits to being abused (including sexual abuse) as a child and teenager and appears to be at least somewhat distressed by the fact that it’s difficult for him to have a “normal” relationship. These are deep seated issues.

This is not a healthy relationship in my opinion.  But let's argue that it is their life and nobody else's business.  They will forever live a lie, a stigma that would ostrasize them from society, label them perverts, and lead to self-loathing.  Other than in romantic literature, there is no good ending to it in reality.

Sorry to be a buzzkill.  This book just doesn't work for me.

Orlando - I have not read this book [and will not be reading it], but your analysis of the book and the characters is disturbing. I completely agree that this is only conceivable as a beautiful thing within the context of a fictional novel! Personally, I find nothing attractive in what has been described and I would not waste my precious time in reading such a book! I have way too many case laws to study and prepare than to be reading 50 shades, no offence, lol! Not time to waste!

Lady D!
ROFLMAO! Worry not, I won't hurt you if you go cradle snatching! You are allowed!!!!! Lololololol!!!!!

Curious - No don't worry - I know Voyager is certifiable - Nothing he does or says shocks me anymore! What will these blogs be without him? Totally boring! Sadly, now he is dissing Irish and Ukrainian girls! Hmmmmmh V???!!!!!

Where has CG gone? We need him for a dose of reality check, and wisdom! Ouch the 'W' word again, he doesn't like that word 'wisdom'! Smart, hot and sexy - yep! He likes those.

Liv.

Has Voyager completely gone off the rail now or what? Lol!!! I cannot believe he actually posted on the poor girl's page - "I am Christian Grey for you!" Lol!

V - stop messing about, OK? Even though you have a thing for Irish women, this lass is only 23 years old for Chrisssake! V!! Get a grip.

Liv.

Hi, Liv.

You might be right.  But you need to add a very healthy dose of HUMOR to Voyager's remarks before you take them seriously.

Although I do agree that he shouldn't mess with the head of a 23-year-old.  He's far too sophisticated and experienced for that.  So experienced and sophisticated that it's really way beneath him to be messing with a 23-year-old's head.

To whomever that 23-year-old is:  IGNORE VOYAGER!!!!  He's just an old--not so old really--curmudgeonly before his time, "old" man.  Take nothing he says personally.  Respond/react to him only when you can laugh at him.

[Love you, Voyager, but yes, you do occasionally go TOO FAR!!!]

Well, being 1/4 Irish, with an Irish surname, I'm obligated to take offense even if I don't really want to.

ROFLMAO.

This blog has exploded, gone flying every which way since Vesuvius, and lost its purpose for sure.

Again:  ROFLMAO

Cassie honey.. Back up... My apologies if you felt I was referring all remarks to you.. I wasn't stating YOU.. I merely gave reference to WHY and HOW ppl might perceive one having only one picture and your profile reads of a sexual content (merely due to book reference) I in no way was stating I felt YOU are a scammer..  What I did was RESPOND to your comment about my making something different of your blog than it was meant to be. I expressed HOW I came to the conclusion you **might be a "babe" looking for a "daddie" ... or even just sex.. I'm NOT judging you. Heck.. I'm the only woman defending the married woman's blog looking for "extra sex!" Bravo to her for being HONEST when so many are filled with lies everywhere. People dont eve tell their real age anymore! So please do not take my words to be against you. I have found your responses much more articulate than your blog or profile.. so I have enjoyed reading your thoughts on the book and the man...
My original thoughts had nothing to do with you. In fact, I wrote 4 little sentences regarding the "author" and 2 paragrahs posing a CAUTION sign to thers against abuse, as I have had abusive relationships in past and would warn others to BEWARE of why you allow this type behavior. (ORLANDO stated it was BDSM) I warned if it ever feels degrading.. STOP! The last time a man physically violated me was when he slapped my face during sex... and I am now glad we parted ways.. That's what I meant by a thin line.. I find dominant men a turn on.. but only to a certain point..
Stick around for a while. You will meet some great people, gather others people's insight and may meet your "Grey" yet.. Best wishes..  and sorry for the misunderstanding... :)

I think when people wish for a Christian Grey they just wish for kinky stuff not the beating part. They wish for the lavish lifestyle part and not his disturbed character.

Hope......
I do appreciate your opinion but you have completly made this about my profile rather than my blog,
I have no intension of trying to scam people nor am i trying to sneek into the states i have been on this site less than a week and from what i have seen so far i dont think i will be staying on it much longer,
Yes on my profile i have 3 SENTANCES you keep pointing out so much but me personally i dont like writing or putting up loads of pictures of myself until i find out what the site is all about first. Hence why i said i was on here to see whats its all about.
I really liked the charcter in Fifty Shades of grey is that a crime?? im only 23 years old looking for new ways to meet a guy so i wanted to check this site out  i have not decided if i want a relationship for a while to be purely a "sexual" relationship not a crime either you only live once. (not that im saying i am)
You said yourself you deal  with "scammers" and "frauds" daily here, does that mean every newbie with only one picture is a fraud?? you should give people a chance where not all the same.
Like i said i was asking about a book not an opinion on my profile but thanks again for putting that out there very much appreciated
Cassie :)

Hi CASSIE.. No .. Most smart people WILL view a "newbies" profile, as we deal with "scammers" and "frauds" daily here, unfortunately..

One thing many of us have found is... Tons of scammers out there only post one photo.. I also have had male friends I have signed up for online dating that have told me all they receive is women from other countries pretending to be in states, yet it becomes evident to them, they are conversing with someone seeking a way "in" to states..

In the fact your profile reads 3 sentences and refers to finding this illusion of Grey character further tells most people you seek SEX... The blog may have been about a book.. but as is your profile... Hence my reference to SD /SB status.. which I personally hold no issue with..  Further, I don't have to read the book after hearing so many views on it to comprehend it... The relationship between the 2 was purely a "sexual" relationship.. which sounds like was possibly most unhealthy...

You state you seek an "honest, genuine guy" but they aren't out there.. But I am telling you most "honest, genuine guys" seeking LOVE.. are not interested in a 3 sentence commentary on finding Christian Gray...

You say you are on here to see what it is "all about"... I am saying as a woman who has been dating longer than you have been alive... If you wish to seek a GREAT GUY.. More substance is necessary.. Any woman can get a man for sex.. It takes a real "lady" to get a "Great Guy." for all else.. And BTW.. Christian does NOT appear... a "great guy".. But I will reserve conjecture until reading the book.

Wishing you the best!

Hope~~
