To be honest, I just joined here because I received some junk email and thought "Hey, that's a site I haven't been to yet". I mean, the way people lie on these sites, who knows who has money and who doesn't? But there are some advantages to this site. For one, as someone else mentioned, it is pleasant to read posts from a blog where most people can spell. Do I think I will marry a gorgeous, sexy millionaire who will love and worship me till I die? Yeah, sure... I don't think I'm the type of woman men like that look for. I am too weird. My idea of a happy ending and fairy tale life is too different from most people. But, hey, it's fun to get home after a long day at work and read some posts, post some replies. It beats the heck out of posting your pics on a profile, having a bunch of people write, then having to spend a lot of time replying to emails or feel guilty for not replying. All in all, I like this site. But, then again, low expectations always make things seem nice! :)

Well Ms. Calamity at least you have the balls to admit you are a gold digger and proud of it. There are plenty of women like you around and especially on this site. Thanks for making it so easy to spot for the men who prefer to avoid the golddiggers. There are plenty of us that prefer to be with women who have demonstrated equal or superior earning power to our own.

I'm with art_lover- I joined up because I am educated, ambitious and try to expose myself to a little culture from time to time. I expect the same in a mate. Is that so wrong? I even state on my profile that I am not seeking someone to support me financially. I can do that on my own, thank you very much. I AM seeking someone that will encourage me to grow as a person, learn new things and excite my senses on a daily basis. When I find that, I will endeavor to do the same for them...

AWWWW. What happened to the creepy woman hater?? Did the truth hurt?! Well, at least his foul words seem to have been deleted. That's 1 for the ladies.

That guy down there deserves nothing more than the hookers he desires. You're correct that cheap p**sy is everywhere. Cheap, dirty, std infected, used up p**sy. You sir, are a disgusting mess of a man.

personally I am on this site for entertainment. But I am single and I would like a man who has can at least match what I have. If he's broke or in huge debt then I am not interested. I want a man I can look up to and respect and learn from. Not some little boy who lives with mom and hangs out on his dad's lazy chair! I need someone who can play, travel and who does not worry about paying the water bill!

Personally, I joined MM because it seemed the people had better jobs, higher education and could at least spell, in comparison to many of the other online dating sites. If you can't figure out if the woman likes you for your money or your personality, you obviously aren't listening to her words. While there is nothing wrong with taking care of someone you love there needs to be something beyond the physical (I'm leaving out the lame jokes, which is unusual for me).

I agree I have myself together and make a good living. I at least want a man that does better than I do! I do not want to support a man thats for sure...

Not all of us are gold diggers. My kids dad and I were together for 12 years, and he had it all. House, pool, RV, yineyard, houseboat, etc. Not getting the basics from the realationship, I made an agonizing decision to leave, and in turn leave all that behind. After being in a position of being taken care of, I chose to come here to meet someone financially responsible, with all intensions of pulling my weight and putting in my fair share. I can't imagine dating a dead beat ever again. Picking up a tab doesnt bother me, but not all the time. Some ladies might just want the money... but I already learned money can't buy you love. I know where I'm at, I can't speak for anyone else.

I agree with you one hundred percent... There is a reason why these sites were created in the first place. Evidentally women who prize themselves will at some point hope to meet someone who can enrich their lives. Whether it be finacially or otherwise. But i doubt too many women are really delusional in thinking that one of these guys are going to give them the whole fairytale are they?
