Seems to me there are certian people on who's job it is to try and extract money for their own personal profit. I've met about a half dozen beautiful, drop dead gorgeous women who after 2 ro 3 days of chatting and in love, want your kids, and marry you. And I wonder about these photo's too, are they really who they say they are. They ask for money for visa's, passports, and airfare. I find it strange that when you ask for proof of who they are, they seem to just dissapear.Kinda wonder if there isn't a club that these people {women} belong to, because it seems their story is all the same. I find this very unusual, they all have the same past down to a Tee.I am sure the ladies on here have had the same thing happen to them and you just got to wonder!!!Is this what it is all about???

Wow! I now feel like the most naive person in the world. I have not really used dating sites and that is one of the biggest things people tell me. Be careful. Run if somebody asks for money. I am looking for a partner in life. One that I don't have to keep up. I know that there is someone out there. My cousin was able to find an adzing man who is good to her and has been instrumental in bringing her back to family and has even moved her and her children from Chicago to CAROLINA Beach and is taking great care of her and our family adores him. We have a huge family. So I plan to find that special one for me to be there and beside me. Good luck all!

Willyprt, Alchem, beware, I am the one who is from the Soviet Union and can be considered as Russian. Please be careful! lol

I think it (scamming attempt) could happened with men or women, online or in reality if you have achieved something. We just should be careful and if it is the case on this site report immediately

Not on web sites. In real life I have had men hustle me because they know I have a roof over my head. Blow it off.

Time tells all...
My scammer wanted me to open a Wells Fargo Acct. after 3 wks. of Nigerian love sonnets..

But... Goldiggers come in all colors. They have one thing universally in common. They all come first, as far as they are concerned...

Beware of the Me First !
Taker, personality. : )

Totally agree that there are many golddiggers out there. But, remember that they would not be there, if there was not a guy who wanted that. I cannot tell you how many men have e-mailed me, wanting just that - to be my sugardaddy! Well, that is not what I want, there is a lot more to me than that. Just correspond with someone a few times, and I think you will be able to sort through them fairly easily!

Were not talking about women in general, some men are goldiggers too. I known some (know him personally) and I also encounter some of the scammers here online. There everywhere. I would say, I'm one of their favorite target all among other woman. They targeting mostly, Divorce, older woman, lonely, vulnerable and have house & money (that's a big plus) Were all here for one reason, to find what were looking for...But you have to remember.. we expose ourselves online so you have to take the consequences.

It's women like that that gives us a bad rep and name. It's hard enough to meet a decent person in public let alone online and the ones that like to screw it up in public is now doing it here. I think that we, as women, should take a stand against this. You hear alot of women complain about men but in actuality, men aren't all the same...but, we categorize them nonetheless because of the jerks that are out there. Just keep in mind that we are not all like that and there are some of us who are sincere and serious about finding that special someone to fill our lives.

You poor thing. Gosh, no wonder a lot of men have issues with commitment because some woman all they want is what's in their wallet.
Mostly those are the woman who's always going to have an unhappy marriage because they will always want instead of giving. There are woman like me who aren't into money. What I look for in a man is how they will make me feel in the inside and how they will make me feel for the next 20 years!

I think that you should just take time and really get to know people, then you will know their personality over time. Talking to them on the phone after you feel comfortable will help a lot too because after a while people will tell on themselves.

Witchyhour, actually the scammers DO contact women, and they don't just target the ones who have posted a high income. I fully admit to making less than $20,000/year, and even *I've* received emails from at least four guys (not on this site) that were using pictures ripped off of the Focus Hawaii site. They don't care if you're making less money at your actual job than they do in their scamming, because they pretty much have no conscience.

To be honest, I don't believe you are necessarily talking about women. If you go to Craigslist and post something expensive, you will emails from, as Alex said, Nigeria, etc, and they will send you a fake money order.

On dating sites, these people (who may be women or not) will contact men (because women wouldn't fall for something stupid like this ;) ) and lure them into sending money, which appears some idiots actually do.

It's like getting phishing emails saying they are from your bank and asking for your account information, then going around saying banks are stealing from you...

I feel bad for successful men these days. I am a hard working, educated woman and I would like to have a friend and a potential future with someone but that comes in time. Too many of these crazy women think that dripping in jewels and fancy clothes and Jimmy Choo shoes is what life is all about. Sometimes I see things in the news about these high profile divorces and it makes me glad I lead a life under the radar with good friends and a loving family. I don't envy any man with money - it must be a lot to content with - trying to weed out the liars and the fakes!

I dont think all woman are golddiggers but its sad to say that a lot are only out for money! We all want to be taken care and for some money is the way they can feel secure and taken care of...which is very sad because money cant buy happiness. I wish you all the luck in the world in finding the right girl that isnt in it just for the $$$$$
