Quoting Aspengal50:
I don't know where you are or why you might be inside on such a gorgeous day. We were given a great gift here in Aspen..sun! After the snow earlier in the week, it's a treasure to wake up to warm sunshine on both weekend days. Yesterday there was time for a quick 45 miler down to Carbondale. Today, I finished work early so I could take advantage of the sun and take a real ride, 65 miles down to Glenwood and back. Should be a great ride. If you can get outside...then do it! Never pass up the opportunity to get some exercise, good for the heart and soul.
If you missed Steve's Guitars, you really missed out! The comics were awesome! I got stuck following one of the best of the night so that added to my nerves. I did manage to get through most of my set, I probably forgot only a third of it. But I didn't pass out or go completely blank. I managed to make them laugh, so I consider my first shot at stand up more or less a success. It is a whole new experience to be on the stage rather than in the wings. I might even sum up the courage to try it again. Mark your calendars (if you're locals) our next show is at the Silvertree Hotel in Snowmass the Friday after Thanksgiving. Then we'll have shows twice a week for the rest of the ski season. We'll have one show at a Snowmass venue (stay tuned for details), and we'll have an Aspen location as well.
Time to take my own advice. Need to don some spandex and feel the wind through my helmet, and bugs in my teeth. Ok, the bugs I could actually do without.
