The Chat invitations I am NOT getting Posted on Feb 27, 2008 at 06:16 AM
I wonder who else has this problem. I log into MM... I want to see who's online... and to open up to chat if someone sees me and wants to say hello. As soon as I log in a window pops up prompting me to upgrade.. but it also shows who is trying to begin the chat. And it's always the same two guys. Both of these men are gold members, is it the policy now to have to be a gold member to respond? I just do not get it. ~Tina~
GOVT REPORT ON GARDASIL Posted on Oct 02, 2007 at 06:11 AM
Govt urges parents to allow cervical cancer vaccinations Posted Sat Sep 29, 2007 4:29pm AEST Updated Sat Sep 29, 2007 7:02pm AEST A leading sexual health expert says up to 20 per cent of school girls are not getting vaccinated because their parents have not given them permission (file photo). (AAP) Related Story: Schoolgirls 'missing out on cancer vaccine' Federal Health Minister Tony Abbott is urging parents to vaccinate their daughters against cervical cancer. A leading sexual health expert says up to 20 per cent of school girls are not getting vaccinated because their parents have not given them permission. Doctor Edith Weisberg from the Sydney Centre for Reproductive Health Research says parents are worried that the vaccine could promote promiscuity. But Mr Abbott says it does not, and there is no reason to think that it might. "I would urge people to get their kids vaccinated," he said. "I think this is a very important public health measure. "I would hate elderly parents to one day have a child with cervical cancer and to have to think that maybe if my child had been vaccinated the result would be different."
The Vaccine VIXEN Posted on Oct 02, 2007 at 06:02 AM
Yes she's cute, but is she REAL? What is her agenda? Why are all her blogs "ANTI VACCINE" Sounds like a lt like VL. Nice agenda,,, that is her platform.. JOHNTEST>>>>is she a troll? On her "Gardasil" blog.. I did my own research... the CDC has NOTHING about the dangers of this vaccine. Also her facts are NOT correct. ONLY 16-20 year olds were used for the clinical trials. Nobody under 16 and they were non virginal. She makes it sound like mercke goes around using little children lab rats. Anti vaccine? I am taking the FOR vaccine POV. polio, pertussis, diptheria, measles, smallpox.... shall I continue? ~T~
Since now... Posted on Sep 20, 2007 at 07:02 AM
Now I know who you are, it's so obvious. Typos are different than consistently misspelled words. And in the blogs this is all we have to represent who we are. When I get a chat session that starts out like this; "how r u?" Text talk is for texting on a cell phone. I click the "X". This tells me that he doesn't care enough to write normal. Yes, I make exceptions for people who have English as their second, or third language....that is no problem. BUT to see a CEO or Pilot .....consistently getting their "there/their, or two/too/ to" mixed up drives me crazy. How did they get that far in life I wonder? Misspelled words turn me completely off and I am not alone. Intelligence is very important to me and to many people. Stupid is as stupid does They can be full of love, sexy ..gorgeous....but if they can't hold an intelligent conversation, forget it. And believe it or not, when we chat we are conversing.... it IS a conversation. ~T~
Is it really wrong? Posted on Sep 10, 2007 at 04:51 AM
Is it wrong to remain on this site even if you become attached? Notice, I did not say dating site. Because I feel this has become much more than that for many people. Most of us would say that we are searching for our perfect match, but honestly how many of you feel that the blogs and the people in them fill some kind of void in your life? So that finding someone takes a back seat. AT first, I was hopeful, then I became jaded, time went on, and seeing all of you, reading about you, getting to know special things about every one of you. I have come to realize that at my core I am you. I have grown to care about everyone here. Even the people who I was at odds with...honestly, I hope you are all OK and find peace. Secretly, I think I sabatoge my potential relationships, because I don't want to "trade you in". And even though, I do not need permission, or validation from you, I value your opinion. Does anyone else feel this way, or am I crazy? ~T~
There was a time when........ Posted on Jul 15, 2007 at 12:26 PM
When blogging was informative, and fun. It should be a cool place to exchange Ideas. And a showcase to let everyone know a little bit about our lives and what makes us think the way we do. Ignore Ignore Ignore. A troll, indeed. He made a troll and told each one of us about it.. He had a beef with many here and now he returns. His troll would praise his real profile. Which bordered on sickening. He admitted it and is capable of fooling people this way. He was having fun with us. Most people don't have the time to date let alone read the blogs defending themselves against made up entites. They can't be allowed to get the best of us.Or drive away our best people. ~T~
$$$INCREASE$$$$ Posted on Jun 16, 2007 at 08:44 PM
Has anyone realized that there is an increase in the gold membership? Just thought I'd let everyone they go from $19.95/month to $29.95/ month and most of you have it automatically renewed, so I bet they thought you'd never notice. ~T~
Being Me Posted on May 28, 2007 at 08:20 AM
As if my profile wasn't enough.HA Let's see, I am opinionated. Things I like; slushy beer on a HOT day,spa days, throwing together dinner parties at the last minute, being with family and friends, seeing cars allowing the pedistrians to cross the street, my plastic surgeon telling me I am wasting my money and sending me home uncut. Most importantly I REALLY like, no LOVE me and who I am. Because I am tenacious, aware, thoughful considerate, modest, and FUN....happy mostly, but I know I can be a bitch when neccessary. I am strong, instigating,I like to push buttons to teach people a lesson. Now that isn't so bad. I think everyone should have one of these "Being Me" blogs. Because like I said before, maybe profiles just aren't enough. What a great idea. ~T~
Let's talk about nuts! Posted on May 09, 2007 at 08:02 AM
As I was flipping through the blogs....I found myself on Starfinder's nut blog..... and as I am looking at him the only thing that popped into my mind was how much he resembled a filbert. Now I am not saying that he looks like a nut... but there is a nut in all of us....In fact,If I was a nut, I'd be a chestnut. And I have seen plenty of nuts believe me. What type of nut would you be, and why?
Profile Mutations Posted on May 01, 2007 at 06:21 PM
I removed 2 comment I made that I thought was a bit too harsh, and may be off the mark. But it made me think. What if... ....there was a con man,, who scoped out blogs. Where affluent people hung out.... And fashioned his profile to attract an affluent woman that he found to be his target? Take for instance...a special woman pops onto these blogs... searching for a spiritual people, or even a potential love. BAM! within a week there is a spiritual guy....who lets it be known that somehow money IS a factor in his search. NOw how many of you would think that he cultivated his profile and blogs to attract her? I can't be the first one to pick this up. Tell me if you think I am wrong...or maybe just a little over sensitive from past blogging experiences. Most of you know what had happened. ~T~
