Just recently I ran across a profile on this site, where the gentleman caught my eye with what he had written in his profile.  So much so, that I felt with Valentines Day, fast approaching, that we all could use a little reminder that Love..can catch us by surprise when we least expect it.
 
Thinking back on my Valentines Day experiences, I can honestly say that I don't recall any memorable ones.  Sad but true.  I have heard of many, that friends and family members have shared, thinking how wonderful it was to hear of loving and kind gestures shown on this special day of recognizing the ones we love.
 
If you do your research, this day can be traced back to a religious beginning, but it was also associated with the beginning of mating season for birds in France and England.  However, I remember Valentines Day starting back in Elementary School.   My mother would buy little cute cards in packages for me, I would sign my name and address them to the kids in my class..those who I thought dearly off, I added little heart candies with sayings on them.  We, as young girls, always felt special if we got a heart candy that had "Kiss me or Hug me" on it, from a special boy we liked. 
 
Today we celebrate a new Love,  one that has touched my heart deeply.   Going back to the beginning of my blog, the gentleman, his name is lifeisgood28 on here....he used his profile to celebrate his Love for a woman he met on here a few months ago.  They met and fell in love, he said he knew from the moment he read her profile, that she was the one for him.  A few weeks ago, he changed his original profile and asked her to be his bride.  You have to look it up, it is the most beautiful and romantic gesture, one I will remember for a long time.  It warmed my heart to know that finding love on here...is possible, just when you least expect it.
 
I was hoping that many of you would chime in and share your experiences since we all love to hear of the many, amazing ways one can show their love and appreciation on this day. It is the one day we recognize for romance, but we all know, that every day can be Valentines Day.
