So. Blogs. I admit, I'm not usually one to have one, but since it's a useful tool to let you see how great I am, why not?
Today, as I'm writing, I'm kicking back in front of the documentary about Ayrton Senna, with a glass of wine and a smushed York mint I had hiding in my purse. I'm a diabetic, so believe me, this is a treat! :)
I've been working in Sydney, Australia for the past 12 months, and recently accepted a shift back to Los Angeles. Having grown up on the East Coast, I need someone to show me around! Tell me how to avoid the vacant blondes, where to find the best late night comedy or jazz. The best place to lay out in the sun with a fabulous novel and good company. Help me out?
While I work as a business specialist for an international company, I'm the proud holder of a Masters in Special Needs Education and honestly believe every single human being is entitled to education; no matter where you are, your ability or your economic status. I gladly volunteer my time for free in a program that helps young kids stay in school; and if the opportunity arose I'd teach for free if I was able to.
I love sports, travel and cars (I rebuilt my own vintage sportscar with some help from my father). I'm fiercely independent, but I'm tired of being on my own, or pursuing pointless "companionships". Not that they don't have their place, but I prefer to be stable.
I leave you with but one question: why oh why did God taunt us with the hoax that Justin Bieber was retiring? Singlehandedly ruined my new year to discover we're stuck with him.
